I didn't make the roles apply to the protagonists, I am just going to use them as sock accounts. I didn't see a workable way to assign roles to the protagonists themselves based on some preliminary research. They weren't different enough from each other, so I just made up some townspeople roles.

This is based on the actual witch trials, and the sock accounts will be the people involved. I would not object to a counterproposal, however, since I have so many other games in the works.

The Townspeople
The Best Friends (two roles) - Have BTSC with each other.
The Butcher - Can carve up a dead body each night to learn its identity.
The Chemist - Can brew a potion each night and either keep it or give it away. Results may vary.
The Cook - Once in the game can bake a Witch Cake for everyone to eat, or not.
The Doctor - Can protect a player from night actions (excluding NKs.)
The Gaoler - Can jail one person each night, making their vote count zero.
The Gossip - Can ask a question by PM to a player, and pass the answer along to another.
The Judge - Has one lynch pardon to use in the game.
The Midwife - Can silence a player with a sleeping draught each night.
The Postmaster - Can intercept a single sentence from one of the BTSC chats each night.
The Priest - Can bless a player each night, protecting them from being killed that night.
The Recluse - Has a chance to kill those who target her with night actions.
The Seamstress - Can knit a wool blanket, which she hides under, protecting her from a night kill.

The Witches
The Black Man of the Forest - At the beginning of the game he receives the player list and selects his three teammates. He cannot be lynched until all the other witches are dead.
Witches (three roles) - Kill every night and have BTSC.
