What else are friends for?Elohcin wrote: I was not upset that I was being lynched. I was upset about how I got lynched. Re: Willow [Endgame]
I didn't think you were bad because of what you said about Andrew, I just disagreed with you. At first it was intuition, and then it was the fact that we redirected your pigging ower to BWT and he miraculously turned into a pig, but obviously I couldn't say that.S~V~S wrote:I have to agree with Bea, my reaction to the initial suspicion would have been the same. You were right about my lack of suspicions, but up to that point, I acted exactly as I would if i were a civ. I reacted defensively because I tend to be a defensive person, bad or good. Several people have actually used that as a baddie tactic, tried to upset me in order to lynch me as defensive, ha ha. Bad times
I was genuinely offended that you wouldn't use an 8 year old for civ cred when you would have used anyone else, or that you say you would have had a hard time killing him. As I said many times in the thread, I think kids should be treated with the same respect and dignity as anyone else in the game.

That's actually a really good point. Not wanting to get your hands dirty on a lynch where you know what the outcome will be is something I see exceptionally frequently with baddies. Worth keeping an eye on her.FZ. wrote: I know why you said you voted for TH, it just didn't make sense to me. It was between two people for the lynch at that point: SVS and Dom. You thought SVS was a civvie and said you didn't mind Dom getting the votes. There was still a chance SVS could have gotten more votes, so if you thought she should be saved, and didn't think Dom was a bad lynch, logic says you should have voted him to seal the lynch.
So I'm wondering if maybe you didn't care who got lynched, but still wanted to make yourself look better when one of them got lynched and came out a civvie. You wouldn't be under the public's eye

I get that seemed weird things to pull fz, I was trying to comment as I was reading along, but I was fail. I miss the k-site multi-quote. It's ever so handy when catching up.
Reading back through, it does kinda seem like there was a last minute push to save SVS, I'm just not sure what to make of it. I can see a scenario where svs is bad and her team tried to save her. I can also see a scenario where SVS is good, and the "save" is a nice frame for today's vote. Then there's two civs down with little effort.
As for me, I'm voting SVS.

I get the basic idea of not wanting to give anyone access to edit any of my posts. But if I slip up and drop the eff bomb - I have NO PROBLEM with svs or YOU or epi coming in and fixing my post because it's a fix I would want to have happen. family friendly thread is family friendly . It looks at it EXACTLY like all the times the mods on this site helped me out when I effed up the sock game.
Intention means everything.
Why would you think SVS would make those edits without the purest of reasons
Tell me what I'm missing.
I'm afriad you've misunderstood what was purely a joke on my part. I was just saying that since people know that SVS will edit their curses, they might be tempted to curse more just to give her a hard time or see how she would edit them. It had nothing to do with the game itself, and probably should have been on OT green. Sorry for the confusion.

Sorry for the triple post, but I have more to say.S~V~S wrote:I honestly have to say that your post up there is the most cynical thing i have eber seen in mafia,
The only reason you are calling my post cynical is because Andrew is 8 years old. If it were any other player, there would be absolutely nothing cynical about it, at least no more so than any game of mafia, which is by its nature a cynical game that involves lying and manipulation.
Now, I personally believe that children deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. Arguing that Andrew could not make an effective baddie because of his age is not respectful. Saying that you would not use him for civvie cred (which let's be honest, you would unhesitatingly do with any other player) is not respectful.
I intend to treat Andrew the same as anyone else in this game, just as I do with the children I encounter in the real world. I do not think the fact that I would expect the same from you (and everyone else) is particularly cynical.
