Why do you think MP is civ?Epignosis wrote:Agreed.Black Rock wrote:I just saw this on a reread. I am very confidant that MP is a civvie and I even have him pegged as a role. I don't think he is the Master.Chris wrote:The MM lynch was the one that ended early.![]()
If Epig is with MP, that lynch could have been a choice of picking the lesser of the two evils with MP. Or it could have just been a matter of it ending early and screwing up any possible plans.
I highly suggest you all re-read MP with the mind that he could be The Master, and that Roxy and MM were both recruited.
It starts to look very interesting.
Then remember the people vouching for MP or intereacting with MP a lot. LC, Epig, SVS... all people I'd recruit if I was a recruiting Indy killer.
I'm not making a case that he is The Master. I need someone else's view on the possibility. Someone who is not LC, Epig, SVS, or Hedgie please.
I think, in order for MP to be a civ, he can only be one role. And it doesn't make much sense that people would be saying they think he's a civ based on anything role related.
Black Rock, you were targeted. What do you think of the possibility that MP is The Master?

Honestly, I have been majorly busy and have not been keeping up like I wish I could. However, I still think Dana is bad. I've posted my reasons and others have stated theirs as well. I also have this gut ping that Epi is bad (sorry Epi) but have no evidence to back it up b/c he is playing a very civ-like game.juliets wrote:Elochin, have you got any thoughts on the game?

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3
I don't know....I just don't agree that you would necessarily be able to read them b/c they are your friends. Like I said, I play Mafia with my husband of eleven years, dating him for 15, and he acts totally different in Mafia than in real life. On top of that he acts totally different in each game. So, I don't think it is necessarily good to seek comfort in those we feel we know better than others. But, Made and Enri may just be that transparent and readable people. But I can imagine they are smart enough to know how to put on an act when they feel the need.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 3
You can sometimes use people's personalities outside of mafia to decipher their mafia affiliation. I would never do that with Epi (my husband) however, b/c I know his mafia actions do not always reflect his true personality. But, you didn't say that the first time I asked. You only said something to the effect of sticking with what is familiar.Dana wrote:Of course I care if the player lynched is a civ, that's why I'm trying to figure out who is bad and who is not. I said I didn't know Enrique's affiliation because I don't. I don't know anyone's but my own for certain. I do think he is a civ because I know him well (though not IRL) and he doesn't seem to be acting odd. Am I not able to use information from people's personality outside of the context of mafia to tell if there's a suspicious change in their behavior? I never said that I "stick with people" I'm familiar with, I said I may defend them slightly more than others because I'm still new to the game and I don't know anyone else well enough to be able to say if they're not acting normal or not. I do know Enrique well enough (I think) to say that he IS acting normal.Elohcin wrote:It is why I voted for her Day 2. She was so defensive of Enri and trying to keep voters away from him and when I asked her (paraphrasing) "why? Do have reason to believe he is civ?" she said nah, she didn't know his affiliation at all but that she knew him IRL and sticks with people she is "familiar" with.juliets wrote:Elo, can you be more specific? What action(s) has Dana taken that says she couldn't care less if the lynched player is a civ?Elohcin wrote:I am still overwhelmed with all the players at this point, however my biggest suspicion is Dana. Her actions say that she couldn't care less if the lynched player is civ.Dom wrote:
Elohcin, I would love to hear from you. What are you thinking at this point in the game? Who are you suspicious of? Surely you must have suspicions by now. Do you know how you survived your attempted murder?
Then today, her actions have been no different in that she is talking about how she felt both options in the last lynch were civ options and yet she still voted for one of them. She saw no reason to vote for who she thought was bad.
I didn't feel both options in the last lynch were civ at the time the lynch was happening. I explained already that I feel that way now that Epig's role has been revealed. Meaning I thought SD was civ and I still do even after what happened. I did vote for who I thought was bad, and I was wrong.
Still, your behavior is fishy to me.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2
Okay, well that is not a good reason IMO. I think we ought to defend those we think are civvie despite out RL involvement with them. If I don't have to vote to save myself, you will get my vote.Dana wrote:Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. I have no idea if he's bad or not, but he doesn't seem to be acting too differently from his normal self. I defended him because I thought MP's attack of him was a bit uncalled for.Elohcin wrote:Right...you are agreeing that you are unaccusatory. I don't have a problem with that. I have a problem with you being so defensive of Enri. Are you saying you defend him b/c he is familiar/ friend?Dana wrote:The only game we've played in together was my very first. This one is my third, and I have been unaccusatory every game, especially so early on when there's really not much to go on. I really hate calling people out in general for anything, so playing Mafia has been pretty difficult for me sometimes. Made and Enrique are both very good friends of mine, and I don't know anyone else very well at all, so familiar names are comforting.Elohcin wrote:I think you may be onto something with Dana. I have only been in one other game with Dana and she didn't talk much. In fact, Made seem to talk for her a good bit. So, I was going to disagree with your opinion of her being too "unaccusatory". I was thinking, nah, this is normal for her. But then I read that you say she was quite defensive of Enri and that seemed odd so I went back to look at her posts. Her behavior may be seen as that of a newbie baddie. I am going to vote there.MovingPictures07 wrote:That said, I know this sounds strange, but I'm almost confident one of at least Made, Enrique, and Dana has to be bad. I don't know what it is but there's something going on with them. I know Dana is relatively new and takes a while to get opinions formed, but she seems too unaccusatory (this is now a word) to me and she defended Enrique really hard when I was going after him, which at the time I saw as reasoned responses, but who knows? Enri seems genuine to me half the time but the other half of the time I seriously question his intent and he seems a bit easy to waver (though I'm one to talk) and of course not on Epig. And then Made says he's been pinged hard by Epig but his whole case feels contrived, and he's playing such a strange game... he avoided being accusatory for D1 too and explained he would vote one of those people on his angle list, etc. I just am not getting him.
But who knows.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2
Right...you are agreeing that you are unaccusatory.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2
Everyone is different in the amount of Mafia they can take on. We all have RL responsibilities. I personally teach preschool, Kindergarten, and third grade Monday - Friday, run a household (laundry, cleaning, dishes, the whole shebang minus cooking dinner. My lovely and talented husband is am amazing cook!) and care for three children 7 and under 24/7 (I say 24/7 because lately I haven't even been able to sleep soundly. I am trying to train my 2 yr old not to wet the bed which means I have to be awake enough to hear him begin rustling in his sheets and get up to take him to the bathroom before the accident occurs and this happens 2-3 times a night). I also run my own business which takes up approximately 20 hours a week. I'm not complaining. I love my lifeRoxy wrote:But what if the people keeping up and you are following are bad? I guess it was a bit slow in sign-ups or something.Roxy wrote:
Elo - every game we have played together I question your votes. I figured out why last game. It is bc you often latch onto anothers suspicion and vote without saying why you are voting just that you agree with whats been said without ever adding your own thoughts. I would love it if you would list the 2 people you are looking at for todays lynch and why. Your vote for Juliets caught my eye.
Linky Elo kk thanks for the response

Elo doesn't tend to say a whole lot sometimes. It just depends. What she says about being more active and comfortable in speed games versus full games rings entirely true from my experience with her, and while I see her vote as "suspicious" in the strict sense of the word, it's something I've seen her do as a civvie this early on in games a lot because she doesn't find her footing more until later stages of full games, and can also be found suspicious for relying on others' opinions occasionally as well.

Don't get me wrong. I have been looking at who if in the lead for most votes and at least making sure the suspicions seem logical before I vote.
