Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
I want to see the pecan pie thumbprints. YUM!
I wish I could know for sure that my package got to it's destination. Said it got there Saturday but it's receiver has not come in to post.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Yeah, next time I send internationally, I am going to see what local things I can find on amazon and ship that way. Shipping internationally from the USPS or FedEx is super insane.MacDougall wrote: ↑Wed Dec 26, 2018 4:02 am I didn't send any nice letters or anything because I had to order it in the states and have it delivered via US postage direct from there to ensure it would get there so I never actually had my hands on the package. So sorry if it lacks personalisation friendo but I am still sure you will love it.
Also still waiting but I am halfway around the world so I can't complain haha.

As for the gift I put together, I received an email saying it got to its destination on Saturday at 1-something in the afternoon. I hope it actually did.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Am I the first to receive a gift?!?!
I got some goodies from Huntsville, Alabama today. There were some beautifully decorated chocolates which I cannot wait to try and some tea that smells amazing! With those, was a sweet, homemade Christmas card. Thank you, Luna.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
So glad you like everything. I did lots of research on what to send a friend in Sweden and so many forums said that you guys only had the original skittles and m&ms and to send varieties. I also looked to see what kinds of tea you all had. The Bigelow Salted Caramel is my absolute favorite and I didn't see that Bigelow is sold in Sweden (but I'm not a great researcher...so I am not totally sure), so I wanted you to be able to try it. I love to add a bit of milk to mine which brings out the flavor of the tea. Not sure if you guys drink milk with your tea over there
People on forums also said to send vodka, haha. I chose to refrain from doing that.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
I sent mine a couple days ago. The tracking info with USPS isn't so great as it just says that the package is "in transit to the destination". Haha...thanks USPS. Great job as always.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
Awesome. I'll go second then. I got a wonderful package from Nutella with treats from Portland, OR.

A sweet card, chocolate covered blueberries, tea and coffee (which I drink both of, unlike G), a salted hazelnut chocolate bar, and some marionberry preserves. I can't wait to dig in. Thank you so much, Nutella!

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
I got a package in the mail today! I don't even know what inspired me to look on the front porch, but I did...and there is was! Perhaps I was inspired after reading that our town has a package thief on the loose. She is a young blond girl stealing packages from front porches and has stolen from two neighborhoods so far, one being the neighborhood we used to live in. No surprise there.
Are we waiting until Christmas to post about our gifts and giver? I don't want to spoil anything.
Also, I have yet to mail mine out even though it's ready to go. It will get into the mail soon though, promise!

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
So many awesome gifts have been given and I have another to share. I got my first pieces of mail in my OWN home and it happened to be a package from Boomslang (and a Christmas card from a dear friend -his girlfriend). Below is a picture of what I received
Local tea and honey I cannot wait to try with the description written adorably on a recipe card.
, I love it!

She told me she was doing the Storm Trooper and Yoda. You notice she didn't actually correct me.

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
YAY! I'm so glad you got it. I enjoyed doing it for you. The kids helped me pick out what characters to put on the ornament. Had to have a dark side and a light sideleggyorlyb wrote:I got my package yesterday!!! I was so excited to see that it was from Eloh!! I also forgot to post in here last night from sheer tiredness. I had to get some things ready for school today, a teacher's job is never done. I was so happy to finally be able to sample some baked goodies from Eloh, and I was not disappointed at all. I ate 2 of the truffles right away![]()
Thank you Eloh for a lovely surprise!!! May you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!!

Re: Holiday Goodie Exchange
PLEASE open items as soon as you get them. There will most likely be perishable items inside. Just most likelyMovingPictures07 wrote:I'd vote that we open them as they come in precisely for the concern you addressed (perishable items), but it doesn't matter to me. Whatever you all think is best.Spacedaisy wrote:Alright, all the names and addresses are out! I am so excited!
Someone asked if we are imposing a rule that gifts can't be opened until Christmas. What do you all think? Should we all wait until Christmas Day to open them, or open as they come in? My only concern is some of them might be baked goodies or such, and in that case it would be better to receive them as fresh as possible. Thoughts?
