Do you believe there has been recruiting?
Because I do.
This game is ott with secrets and vote manips. Nothing has been what it seemed all game. Some people I would have sworn they were good have turned up bad and vice-versa. So I have to wonder if what i believe is true actually is.

Re: AMERICAN GODS~ Night 9
Um yah sorry Chronos that is all I am going to say bc that is what the Hosts prefer. Me too tbqh.
I agree there has likely been recruitment something I mentioned before when I thought Apollo had somehow recruited Eros as they were having a love fest one day in the thread.
Am I right about Apollo I may never know because we have not goner ahead and lynched Phoenix and to be sure I am not sure I want to when there is such a margin that if we make a mistake it could be game over for the civs.
Voted Maryland because I am merry and on land.

Aphrodite wrote:I think you need to look closer at my post about Apollo. That is not the reasons I found him suspicious tbqh.Pluto wrote:Aphrodite seems awfully quick to jump at Apollo for discussing the 'yet' thing from Pandora and then not voting that way. I can understand why Apollo didn't vote for Pandora in that situation though.
I think right now, I'm leaning toward either Aphrodite, Phoenix, or Mars for today's vote. Phoenix because of him jumping on Apollo's theory/case and I've had bad vibes from him most of the game. Mars because he seems to have very shoddy reasons for any of his votes.
I am not purposely twisting your words its just how you read to me.Mars wrote:You're twisting my words about Artemis. I clearly believe that there's actual insanification in this game, considering I myself was insanified (that would be an incredibly stupid thing for me to claim otherwise, and I like to think I'm a slightly better player than that). My main issue with Artemis, which I expressed in the thread, was that a. several people seemed to be insanified at the same time, and it seems unlikely that there would be that many insanifiers in one game, and b. Artemis' insanification didn't read like any I've actually encountered before, which led me to believe it was made up.Aphrodite wrote:Mars You voted Poseidon d1 not lynched.
You voted Artemis d 2 not lynched.
You voted Artemis d3 lynched a civ.
Day 4 you failed to vote.
You vote Zeus not lynched.
Day one flimsy reason for voting Poseidon. The next day you drop Poseidon and latch onto the Artemis wagon. You vote for him 2 days in a row but the kicker is that even though several reasons were listed you vote Artemis day 4 because you felt his curse was faked because why would the hosts not let you say anything on topic or defend yourself. Funny you didn`t mention your fake curse of insanification. Why would the hosts allow it? You couldn`t post anything readable on topic nor could you have defended yourself.
So It is ok in your mafia playbook to vote for someone cursed even though they cannot defend nor be understood and read right?
Day 4 you missed the vote but said you were not suspicious of Hercules but would have voted Athena thats so funny because......
Day 5 you do not vote Athena because you see nothing damning about her even though you were ready to vote for her day 4 lol so contradictory haha what is even better is that you vote Zeus the person who is defending her why? Funny reason tbh... you claim he was trying for civ cred. I do not see how it is possible for the baddies to know who is exactly civ becasue there are two baddie teams. No way to know for 100%. Your whole vote post read as insincere and justtrying to find any reason not to vote for Hercules who you again defended by saying you thought it odd people were discussing him each day.
So what say you about you voting past and reasons?
Tbh you are my top suspect for todays lynch.
This game has loads of secrets, so I don't see how it's so unlikely a baddie team could have gotten a role check or something, and that's what I was suspecting with Zeus. I was never terribly suspicious of Athena, but I would have voted her over Hercules in Day 4 because I was actually leaning civ on him. Obviously I was way off, but I simply didn't get bad vibes from him.
I readily admit that several of my reasons have been flimsy, because honestly I've not been as attentive in this game as I should be. It doesn't make me a baddie, just a bad civvie. But I have been trying to go with whatever makes the most sense to me.
Another question what did you find that made you so sure of Hercules that you defended him when his name was brought up? (two times that I noticed)
Here is my vote analysis along with my thoughts on Mars with his responses included. I am re-posting this because I am probably going to vote Mars today.Aphrodite wrote:PS Mars I do find it unlikely the baddies got a
rolecheck. Maybe a dead rolecheck but not a regular
rolecheck as I believe that would skew the balance
of the game.

I was thinking about when Pandora and Phoenix were up for lynch. You seem upset that I keep questioning you for that I am sorry. But a doubt in my mind needs to be cleared up. Besides I think Pandora was a civ. So there is that for me to consider as well.Apollo wrote:I've explained more than once that I didn't vote for him two days ago because by that time I thought Hinzelmann was probably dead. When Hinzelmann proved to be alive, I immediately voted for Phoenix (for which you criticized me. Make up your mind.)Aphrodite wrote: Apollo why didn`t you respond to Phoenixs last post? Asking about your "case" and that you really haven`t tried to lynch him and when you had the chance to finally vote him after talking about him for DAYS you did not vote for him.tbh its that post of his coupled with Ceres thoughts that really make me doubt he is in fact Hinzelman.
Then he miraculously survived the lynch which should have claimed either his or Pluto's life, and I cannot vote for him today. Why didn't I "lead" a lynch against him? I was unaware that I held a leadership position in this body. I voted for him yesterday and convinced many others to do the same. I'm not sure what else I could have done. I will be voting for him again tomorrow, assuming I survive that long. I still think his voting record tallies with Hinzelmann's kills better than that of any other player.

Yay welcome back Chronos!
I have always been a huge Elvis fan - you can`t be American and not like Elvis!
My favorite movie is Blue Hawaii. Idk what it is about this flick but I have seen it hundreds of times. I watch it at least once a month. I have seen it so much that my kids know every song. When he does Slicin' Sand or Rock a Hula or Almost always or Moonlight Swim I just get up and sing and dance. I can't imagine a world without this movie and I am glad I don't have to.

Ok looking at the state choices:
Ohio`s motto "With god all things are possible"
Which is ok but to which god are they referring to? Unless it is me I won`t be voting Ohio.
West Virginia: "Wild and Wonderful"
Let me tell you I live very close to West "by god salute when you say it" Viginia and wild yes but wonderful no. LOL so no I will not be voting West Virginia.
Tennessee: "Agriculture and Commerce"
Too boring. I mean who cares about that boring motto? Both things are needed in life but to have a motto modeled after that: ho hum.
Virginia: "Is for Lovers"
oooh I do like me some lovin`. So I think you can all guess where my vote is going.

Did you read the discussion during this past lynch? If yes then you already know why people voted for you. If not start by reading Eros case about you. There were several made inre to you. Very compelling stuff imo.Pluto wrote:Had absolutely no time to check in and vote at all today. Really sorry about that. RIP Eros.I'm sorry I doubted you at times. Probably would have voted Phoenix again today.
I would like to hear more from those who voted for me about why I'm so suspicious? Because either there isn't much of a case on me or I missed something somewhere. Quotes would be nice as well.
What is up with your fascination to head east?Apollo wrote:Oh, and I voted West Virginia because I want to go east!

What do you think of Eros throwing down his suspicions on you?
Who are you focused on this lynch?
for me it between Mars, Pluto or maybe you. But I want to see if you can actually lead us to a baddie first before I start throwing my votes at you.

I recall you voting him for "lolz" as you put it so why should he be bothered? tbh the same thing can be said about you. But I want to add him saying he would kill more if was Hinzelman is like an obv thing to say since in the beginning of the game there was a discussion about this topic and the Hosts said they would let people not use their powers.Eros wrote:I recall voting for you one Day and you didn't seem bothered by that one bit. Apollo - I have to giggle a little bit this convo we have reminds me of someone (I mean that in the sweetest way possible) anyhow....
I didn`t say you shut it down all by your little self I said you HELPED shut it down with your early vote. So what if you can change it? Why not vote at all to encourage others to post thoughts while you were not around. but was around just enough. Its bad enough the lows posters barely post thought or to even vote but when they see you vote early they probably figure why say anything when I can just follow Apollo in his vote.
Idk its just how I feel.
BTW if you are so sure about Phoenix why didn`t you vote him last time when the lynch was between Pandora and Phoenix?
Glad to know I have your permission to follow my own case on Mars and vote for him. But I do have real problem voting for cursed players. Not just this game (see the Artemis lynch) but many games there have been bad lynches when led on a cursed player. I think I can wait a day when he can freely speak. And before you say it yes I have seen lynches against the cursed come out good for the civs but far less times than bad.

Well I was disturbed by your overly early vote Apollo.
I think that helped shut discussion down a bit. Probably alot of people will follow your lead and vote Phoenix.
I wanted to vote Mars but he is cursed conveniently.
I also wanted to look at Elecetra. She just caught up and read but has not added anything to the discussion. She just follows other people suspicions. Why doesn`t she answer her own questions and add some original thought to the game. I amy vote there as well.

aww Damn RIP iywg Chronos and Medusa I was trusting both of your opinions.
Wow already a vote barely 4 hours into a 48 hour day because you are busy tomorrow? Are you busy Monday too because that is when the lynch ends. This makes me sad.Apollo wrote:Who am I kidding. I do know where my vote is going, and I'm busy tomorrow so I might as well do it now.

Ok I will say answer you in english but it is safe to say I was just trying to have fun.
I also think it is safe to say I am not the only person translating your posts. Everything I posted I have already said in the thread.
Who is Venus in your posts?
Who is Jupiter in your posts?
You can be wary of me I have no problem with that I am trying to prove myself since my rebornation. I think I have done a pretty good job tbh.

If Pandora is bad why does that automatically make Phoenix bad in your eyes?Mars wrote:Phoenix's insistence on being a lazy civ is striking me as weirdly genuine. It probably doesn't matter at this point, but I'll *vote Pandora*. If she comes back bad I'll be right back on Phoenix though.
Just curious....
Also you never answered my previous question about why you continually defended Hercules by wondering why people kept bringing him up each day.

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Day 6
During my initial read when I was reborned I noticed that Perse had brought part of this up to Eros who thought for some reason that she was defending Phoenix which I could not find maybe Eros will remind me. Since you also feel it unlikely Perse was Hinzelman (as do I) I agree with you case on Phoenix. For me its between Mars or Phoenix.Vesta wrote:Phoenix wrote:correct me if I'm wrong here, but it appears to me that the "case" on Artemis is the supposed "slip" with the "lots of civs voted..." thing and then there seems to be a few circumstantial things that seem reaching a bit. Is there any actual solid evidence?
The things that Apollo said about Fortuna seems more solid than the Artemis stuff in my opinion.Phoenix wrote:The more I read the more the case on Artemis seems like a trumped up bandwagon. I can't remember who said it, but when people call something a slip it's usually only a slip if it's blatant. Twisting english to make something a slip does not make it actually a slip.,I have been rereading Phoenix and notice that he jumps at other's cases quite often. I found it interesting that in the case on Artemis he thinks slips are unimportant, but with Pandora, now that he is being discussed as a candidate too, they are suddenly important. He acknowledges this is "more of a slip," and I agree that Pandora's statement sounds more of a slip than Artemis, but seems opportunistic and inconsistent to me. This combined with his vote for Zeus making it a tie with Herc, has me pretty suspicious of his intentions.Phoenix wrote:That sentence is pretty suspect tbh. That seems like more of a slip than anything else I've seen in this game. It sounds like you threw that "yet" in there by accident. It could be seen as you saying, "I am bad, but I haven't done anything shady for you to call me out on as of yet."Pandora wrote:Apollo wrote:Actually, I find that sentence itself pretty suspicious.Pandora wrote: I am not sure how you can have any suspicions of me yet.Everyone just wants someone to point a finger at.
I am likely to vote here, since my vote for Helios didnt make him magically appear like Electra.

PS Mars I do find it unlikely the baddies got a rolecheck. Maybe a dead rolecheck but not a regular rolecheck as I believe that would skew the balance of the game.

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Day 6
I think you need to look closer at my post about Apollo.

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Day 6
Maybe the context was clear to you but not to me during my skim before I made my posts. I am suspicious of Apollo (I thought you were as well because of your vote for him last lynch) so pardon me if I do not trust his motives and thought he was not telling all he should about the votes.Eros wrote:The context was clear that he was not providing an analysis, and what's more, he said as much.Aphrodite wrote:I am sorry. I was at work I thought he was doing a vote analysis not a summary. I never said anything regarding a summary.Eros wrote:I don't think you need us. After all, you're the one criticizing people's ability to summarize information.Aphrodite wrote: Apollo and Eros please remind me of the case against Pandora?
But again I will ask what is the case on Pandora?
I never said I didn`t need anyone and thats mean to imply. We all need to work together with everyone giving opinions whether we agree with them or not that is the best way I know how to find baddies.
But I'll leave it.
Here's the Pandora thing:
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 679#p39679
And Mars is no good, if you ask me:
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 700#p39700
Now I know it was a summary but I still do not trust him.
So for Pandora it was the word yet questioned by Apollo and quickly jumped on by Phoenix. Apollo didn't even vote for her instead threw his vote away. Maybe it was a slip idk though because the people questioning it I do not trust. If it was a slip worth voting for why didn`t Apollo vote for him yesterday?
Glad to know you hold suspicion of Mars as well.
