Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3

Thank you Ameerah for that synopsis. Maybe it would be helpful to know why Laine is still pinged by Queran when he even admits the case against her/him was based on Jorhan being bad, which he of course wasn't. Laine, what else are you seeing there?

And thank you Gobnait for answering my question. I am starting to lean civv on you.

Etain, I felt that way at the beginning too but you get used to it and the names come more easily to your tongue.

Bac, I tried to translate what you said with google translate. The words came out all english but they are all scrambled up. Sounds like you are making a comment or asking something about the voting. Maybe you can rephrase making it shorter.

Starting midday tomorrow and lasting through wednesday I will only be able to access this thread on my phone. I will do my best to stay current and vote or keep you posted as to why that won't be possible. I will be back to normal Wednesday night.

I'm not sure, really. But I don't get great vibes from Queran and I'm still undecided about Bronwyn and Fane. Though, since the whole Jorhan vote (if he's bad then the Caillic voters are and if he's good, they seem to be in the clear), I may be wrong about Queran.
Laine, I will be happy to speak to any suspicions you have about me.

I meant to comment on this regarding it hurts Finnian worse than it hurts us for him to not be able to use his ability. If he is civv, it definitely hurts us unless he is a role like the Little Red Riding hood who doesnt really have a night action. The civv night actions are there for our benefit. Now if he's bad of course, him not using his night actions is good.

Finnian, what do you have to say about all of these thoughts about you?

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3

Gobnait Gingeruite wrote:I agree that we need to hear more from her to know what she's thinking. The idea that she voted Jorhan to clear herself is a clever one.

I've reread most of the posters in the 10-15 post range now. My impressions are far from set in stone, especially with so little to go on, but I thought I'd share anyway.

I don't know what to make of Mainchin yet. His table switch on Day 1 seemed suspect to me (who had incentive to switch? Only baddies, to change their team distribution. All tables were full, and we didn't know what would happen regarding the vote, so there was no reason for a civ to switch). He hasn't said anything super pingy since then though, in my opinion.

Rhinfrew has seemed pretty helpful, and I'm also reading kind of civ on Ameerah, Izett, and Euro Livin' at this point. With a very low degree of certainty, as I said.

I feel less good about Finnian, who has put forward no game-related ideas in any form so far. I'm very torn on Fane, who says he's new, and Lyel, who cited rl reasons for low participation. My thoughts on either of them would be pure guesswork

Does anyone else have a read on the players I mentioned that they'd like to share? I'm trying to generate discussion about players who haven't been discussed much so far
I have the same concerns about Finnian for much the same reason. He has added absolutely nothing to the discussion and he hasn't voted either time. I saw him here during this last vote so it wasn't that he got tied up in something real life - he was here and could have voted. Fane does sound very new and Lyel sounded genuine to me about his rl activities so I tend to want to give them both the botd this round.

I need to re-read the thread to get a better read on some of the more active players but I am concerned that it is the active players who are getting the negative attention because they are speaking.

Gobnait, could you share what you are still seeing about Queran? I thought the suspicion was based on her vote for Caillic in that it was supposedly saving a bad Johran. Since that turned out to not be true I'm curious what you are seeing at this point.

I really don't like to vote for someone who has not responded to the allegations against him or her but I'm afraid I won't be around later to vote so I need to do it now. I know that I did not vote Caillic to save Jorhan but that doesn't mean Jorhan isn't bad. It's what he did after the vote that drives my suspicion of him. So again, I will vote Jorhan now in case I can't get back until after the vote.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 2

I tried to follow some of the postings yesterday on my phone but I totally missed this post by Gobnait that tries to tie me and Queran together as bad and also makes a false statement about my question to Caillic about her vote. If i had seen it I would have responded. At this point, Queran has already pointed out the problems with Gobnaits post and the implications thereof so I'm going to confine my comment to the back and forth between us that he/she finds problematic.

I play these games to have fun. I thought Queran's post was funny with respect to the names he/she had made up so I replied in kind. We had a little fun. I have seen others having fun, I thought I would have a little bit too. That's all it was. I do not have bts with Queran and maybe Gobnait is new but to cook up something in bts about kidding around in the thread would be ridiculous. I also find it odd that Gobnait wouldn't also think the kidding around I was doing about finding wine at the castle was also an example of me and a teammate cooking up some kidding around to be taken to the thread. It seems the suspicion only exists when it's tied to Queran.

I think people are making sense about Jorhan. Jorhan missed the vote, and then within the hour proceeded to analyze all of the Caillic voters, going so far as to praise Shand for "gun sticking." Sounds like a net cast wide if you ask me:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=148&p=19514#p19514

My only reservation regarding Jorhan comes from last night's poll. Thoughts?

linki: I'm not saying there are winners and losers. I'm just saying one choice had an overwhelming number of people vote for it. That's all I mean by "win."
Jorhan missing the vote and then coming right in to analyze everyone who voted Caillic pinged me as well, and I thought it was odd he praised Shand and then made that comment about me trying to hold him hostage. I didn't understand why he characterized Shand as gun sticking to begin with, and as I've already said his comment that I was trying to hold him hostage did not make any sense given the situation. We've got another day to see what develops but so far I'm the most suspicious of Jorhan.

On the other hand, why ask to be checked if you are bad? You'd be caught right away! Another instance where I'm flummoxed by Bronwyn's strategy no matter what side she's on. That does make for two preemptive defenses in a row though (the first being holding her vote on Day 1 despite being unlikely to be lynched). If nothing else she seems confused and paranoid to me.

I found Bronwyn's defensiveness after receiving a single vote odd as well. Almost everyone received a vote on Day 1 and no one else responded with such vigor.
I am in the car so this will be short. I am used to games where you expected to respond if you are voted for with reason. The vote for me was not random. Also I am not paranid or cofused. Someone said I was shady and I'd appreciate pulling a quote that illustrates that because I dont understand that comment. Finally I only offer my statement for the princess to show I'm telling the truth. She need not check it if there is someone more suspicious.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 1

There was no intent to hold you hostage. Holding you hostage would mean I'm asking for something in return for you. The cold fact was I might have needed to vote for you for defensive purposes. This happens all the time in mafia. If those last two Happiness voters had voted for me bringing me to three and I could only escape lynch by voting for you that's what I would have had to do. This is not uncommon, so I'm not sure why you're having the reaction you're having.

I did not notice that I rambled but if I did that was my mistake. I'm not flustered at all - I've played many games and not much gets me flustered anymore. I meant to speak strictly to the accusation and show why it did not make sense. I do not have bts in this game so I dont have any teammates to stand up for me. I am a civv and will stand up for myself if others accuse me.

I know it is just one vote but on a day 1 when no one really knows who to vote it is easy just to jump on someone else's vote thinking whatever reasoning they are using is better than nothing. This is particularly dangerous when it comes to your vote because those of you voting for the Peace table will control the lynch today so I am very passionate about making sure I am clear when it comes to my feelings about the vote. Also, just so everyone knows what we are talking about here is the quote where I supposedly presented myself as hapless and confused, and I'm inferring from that you mean I'm trying to appear hapless and confused so no one will vote for me (though I am honestly not 100% sure what makes you think I am a baddie even if you do think I'm trying to appear hapless and confused.
