Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 1

Also, when most of us have been having a hard time keeping track of who we are supposed to vote for ourselves, good job keeping track of people voting for Jorhan.

I will randomize my vote and I got Jorhan.
According to the chart, Fane, you are seated at the table of Happiness, and therefore you could not have voted for Jorhan.

This makes me think Jorhan is likely good. And because I'm beginning to trust Shand, I am going to vote for Caillic Lustroushair.
So you think him good based on the behavior of others? What think you of him showing up to make a second post soon after taking a vote for not posting, yet not voting?

The two lottery style votes made me nervous as well, but that one post soon after taking a vote really is one of those things that make you go "hmmm".

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 1

Hmm, two lottery style votes for Jorhan on top of mine. Intriguing it was that not too very long after I voted him for his single post, he came in and made another, but did not vote.

I wonder if he shall return?

Also it is known that the Cheadle-Kracken was one of the greatest heroes of the illustrious Mythic Age.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 1

A no poster may be unaware the competition has commenced; a low poster is aware yet still chooses to not talk. Noposter =/= lowposter. Curious vote; but it is an especially difficult Day 1 after all.

I am voting for the lowest poster from Love, Jorhan. One post.
Shand Azureye wrote:I'm not sure how I feel about the discussion about Rumpel's ability. The concern is genuine, and he and his team can wreck havoc if we let him go unchecked with his magic words. On the other hand, people who first brought it up could very easily have been using it as a ruse to make us believe they are not part of the evil gang. I'm also confused about the suggestions brought up, speakinglikethis, or in a different language and using google translate. On the one hand, they could be genuine suggestions from helpful townies, or knowing how Rumpel's ability works they could just be ways of making it difficult for townies to discuss suspicions in the thread. Right now, I'm tending towards not considering either side of the argument as overly suspicious, but I will be keeping an eye on those who seemed to subtly oppose the proposed workarounds against Rumpel.

With that said, I don't know who I will vote for today. I don't want to put a random vote, or pick a low-poster, if at all possible. But that will be my last resort.

Ugh day 1. :(
I think having conversation regarding how to foil an evildoer is an outstanding activity. Some of the potential solutions may be unworkable, but some may not. Saying that putting forth possible solutions may be a nefarious activity raises my hackles. Pixies have hackles, you know, Tiny little hackles.

Dallon Redwarlock wrote:Well, this is kind of interesting how we are mandated to vote for a particular table. I don't have much in the way of suspicion, the only ping I've had so far whatsoever was Izett saying she didn't know how the hosts would handle rumples role but she thought it probably wouldn't matter how it was treated. I got the feeling it was possible she knew it because it was her role or the role of her teammate, I'm sure that's a question the mafia would have asked the hostesses to elaborate on for them privately. I can totally see this being a completely innocent attempt to be helpful as well however, what do others think?
Sometimes, when I am playing a bad person, I ask a host a question in advance so I know what they will say and then ask it again in the thread in order to give this very appearance. And when I am playing an innocent, I just ask in the thread, so yeah, it could go either way. I will say that Izett is not someone I can vote for, but you are. And since I see your point, I will not be voting for you becasue you are trying to root out evil, and that gives me a nice warm civilian feel in my tummy (although if you confess or acted outrageously suspicious, well, that would negate this, plus it isn't really a vow or an oath, just an extended observation, you understand).

I am most likely to vote for the lowest posting person at the Love table, barring that confession or outrageously suspicious behavior.

Yeah, I have no idea. I have to keep another tab open to see who it is sitting at the Love table. Certainly, I have no inclination to place a ballot for one as opposed to another.

So numerically, Happiness holds the cards here with ten voters. It is going to be difficult in the extreme to lynch someone with a consensus vote with this system.

I would naturally imagine that prepositions and articles would not be allowed to be chosen as the magic word, for example.
I like this, as well as trying to stretch vocabulary; languages will be harder for people posting on phones, for instance, and translator drift is also a problem, nuance will be lost and sometimes nuance is very important.

Someone in another game I was playing on another forum had to do that as a punishment or something and the effect it had was sort of similar to the way the page looks when someone posts a giant image. You had to use the bottoms scroll to read posts. Way annoying. But that would work if maybe we only run together three or four words at a time. Easier to read too. Good idea :)

And I had not counted the roles, that is interesting. I wonder if secret roles are spread across the affiliations? Seven secret roles is quite a few, that could be an entire bad team plus a few spare serial killers.

Keeping this list updated might be helpful, since it ends when everyone checks in, the hosts may take the poll down as soon as that happens, and although only 14 have voted, I see that a few have checked in and not yet voted, and the post says "checked in".

This in indeed an unusual move for the Moonlit Krackens, once the terror of many a peaceful folks nights. Perhaps this is a sign of good things to come. I am happy to see such a diverse fellowship at the Table of Peace.

Lyel Lambboat seems to have added a 6th vote to Peace without posting.

Also happiness without peace is insanity, and happiness without love is hollow. You can't really have any of them in isolation.

I am considering Peace, though. Peace transcends the individual, and maybe if enough of us select Peace, it will spread out to us all :)

And yeah the 5 thing is weird.
