Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 4

Perhaps I said something to piss them off? Not sure what I have said that someone else did not say as well (other than saying Ameerah was shady, and tbh, I think I was not the only one to say that).

All I can say is that they somehow redirected the consensus hanging to me. They wanted tiny me to go bye bye is all I know for sure.

Is she an innocent, distracted by RL, or a not so pure, also distracted by RL..... those night posts :ponder:

I thought about this today, in the accounting department of the Pixie Dust factory (just becasue I'm Rajah doesn't mean I don't have to feed the l'il Pixies) and I do think it is rather obvious, Japanify me, kill me, and let a pawn take the blame.

So I will take your advice & reread her night posts.

Yes but why wouyld they if Carmen is civ?

A plethora of reasons, Mainchin. If we are distracted pointing the blame at Carmen, we are not noticing them. They also may think she is one of the SKs or the secret team. Maybe the secret team is the ones who did this atrocious act. I have seen a grouping of no-goodniks coast to victory on this very tactic. Clever no-goodniks have endless feats of legerdemain up their sleeves.

Need to eat and peruse the chain of posts at my leisure :)

First question: Can you elaborate on your thoughts about the secret roles that you posted while you were in Anime Mode? I remember thinking Gobnait's uncannily accurate deciphering of your japanese posts regarding the secret roles was odd.

Second Question: Do you have any thoughts on my "catch" regarding Carmen's saying she would read back on Mainchin and then actually never posting anything about her thoughts on mainchin?

3.
I posted the correct translation thingy, why everyone continued to use Google is a mystery to me.

There are 7 secret archtypes. right? One has already been revealed, a nice one, a Shoemaker. There are 6 more. I feel that at least some of them are a hidden confederacy of maliciousness. With one revealed, the Shoemaker, and perhaps one more friendly person, that leaves 5 more. Perhaps four or five are an ill natured Gang or Four (or Five), and an independant person (or not).

My point it that it is naive to think that what is on the first page is all we have to deal with. I think not. I may or may not have reason specifically to think so, but really, any person who is paying attention might think so regardless of outside knowledge.

Second, I saw something in one of Mainchins posts that led me to believe he may be a more fair person than he may appear at first glance. Certainly, though, I have no reason to think so of Carmen. Zero, really. I think she tried to assassinate me, tbh.

Dierdre, we publish together: this chart reminds me, I chose Ameerah in our last election as I feel she has been slippery and vague. My vote would do naught to spread the poll as the Nasty Spinning Guy is unlikley to have chosen a word in the language of the Rising Sun. She mainly seems to be flinging wet dirt with no real basis.

I won a prize, and i was told by the hosts that I no longer had it as I had been the person lynched.

As I said, there are three other people who can confirm (to themselves, not outing in the thread) that I was right about the other prizes. And no one can say they got the first prize. Becasue I got it. And it was a lynch save. You may find this far fetched, but truth it indeed is :srsnod:

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 4

Pleased I am to be able to communicate in my usual way :)

Displeased I am at the fact that no one noticed that the nefarious no goodniks attempted to transfer their fate to me, the only Pixie in this game.

So I have learned that in order to transfer a lawful lynch, one does not need a ballot cast on them. Someone very apparently feels threatened by my teeny personage, overcompensation much??

I am glad I won a contest; there were 4 prizes. One was a Lynch Save, another a protection from all ills night two, one the reveal of a role (the Shoemaker was revealed, I believe) and the fourth the private revelation of one of the SKs secrets. I chose the Lynch Save, and a smart move that was!!! The three that chose amongst the other prizes know I tell true about the prize list.

But why me? Was it my suspicion of Ameerah? She who is blendy and fond of hyperbole? Not sure, I have to reread myself, lol, to see whom I may have offended. But offended some pernicious individual I did :ponder:

Far from certain, but a possibility nevertheless.
I am leaning this way as well, truth be told. I need to quaff a hearty beverage, and peruse todays eruditions. Let us not forget as well those seven mystery characters. There well could be an entire league of no-goodniks hidden in that number. So suppositions regarding what a nefarious individual may or may not do might also be affected by whether their character is known or not known.

Now, I realize it could mean nothing, after all it also seems that Bronwyn and Queran are "buddying up" somewhat.

You simply appeared to possibly be setting up a distraction to me, so I pointed that out. Sorry if that came across as rude, my first post on the subject was somewhat snide. Or perhaps pushiness is overcompensation for my size, it is not the first time I have been told this. When one is a tiny pixie in a room full of large powerful Trolls, Krackens etc., one must do what one must in order to be heard and to be held to be of Account in such a gathering.

I am not Rajah for nothing.

His theories, like yours, need further development based on how they play out. I am not sure what I would be redirecting from; as soon as the last lynch ended, I said I suspected Jorhan, I enumerated why, and that is the person who received my ballot. I have been the epitome of consistency. And my suspicions after this day will be built on today; one day at a time, as information is revealed.

The behahvior of those surrounding him perhaps added to that aura, but I think most people are looking at him based on his own foibles.

And no problems brother :) I also calls them as I sees them, and if i see legerdemain and redirection and manipulation, I'm gonna point it out as well.

Vote Gobnait

Linki: Alot of the Jorhan stuff seems to be connected to myself and connected to Bronwyn. Since I know myself and Bronwyn are not connected, and that I was not trying to save Jorhan when I made my vote, that diminishes alot of the validity of that suspicion in my eyes. As for Laine, I am undecided either way. Defending against Gobnait, putting together that monster post, and etc etc. has taken alot of my time and attention.
Yourself? My suspicions of Jorhan have zero to do with you; my potential suspicion of you has everything to do with Jorhan; a very pertinent distinction. I suspect Jorhan for his own actions, and also becasue to some extent of Laine monitoring who was voting for Jorhan, when most of us had to keep referring to a list when deciding on whom to cast a ballot.

Your actions in relation to Jorhan are very secondary at this point. Should he turn up as a criminal, then you will come under my scrutiny. But saying suspicion of Jorhan has to do with you is putting the cart before the horse.

And your ginormous post is what is making me suspect you, TBH, more than anything that went before as it relates to Jorhan. It appears to me that it is an attempted distraction, an attempt to refocus people from Jorhan onto Gobnait. Before this post, I had no real opinion of you in this game; afterwards, not so much.

Full of flowery language and excessive to the needs quoting and bolding, it is confusing, intentionally so IMO. Many people with less time than you or I will come in, skim that, and say "Wow, a giant multi quoting post with bolding, etc. That Queran sure must be right about Gobnait, look at all of the points he's making." I have known several people who do this kind of thing when they are part of a Gang of Naughties solely to appear nice.

My opinion of Gobnait depends very much so, as does my opinion of you, on how this lynch comes up.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 2

There is much, much more than meets the eye in this game. The seven mystery roles play into that; in a game with such a number of participants, only one grouping of lawless folk seems a stretch. This as well as the ambiguousness of Bea & Roxys utterances (which is likely intentional in a tale abounding with such mystery as this is) makes me think we will have to keep careful track of who does and does not exercise their poll rights.

I picked Jorhan Day One as he had said almost nothing when I placed my ballot. Then he suddenly appears, then says nothing again, then makes a large post soon after missing the closing of the ballot. That alone makes me think he is up to nothing beneficial. So I will repeat my Day One choice.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 2

Some interesting points; I disagree that any non random vote is a good vote, and I feel that regardless of who Caillic would have voted for, she would have said she wished they were not lynched for such an unhappy reason. Like most of us, she had no basis for making a decision, especially based on the table dynamic.

In the post you quote, Mainchin did not say he was definitely going random, he said he might, and wanted to read their posts first.

As I said, some interesting points, but I am not in total agreement with many of them. I think some reaching is occurring, although that certainly does not mean anything negative; we are all searching for reason this early in a thread where many seem to be having trouble finding their way. But if we all suspected the same folk, these competitions would be dull indeed :)

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 2

I played a game once long ago and far away that involved a complex code cooked up in the thread about wine, so perchance the person who set forth that argument also played that game? I also play these games for fun, and in these personas, it is even more amusing to banter a bit, and I for one will discount suspicions of people based on mythical based banter with no other basis behind them.

And Queran, I have spoken quite a bit as is my wont. My point there was that your post is so full of hyperbolic terminology and excessive verbiage that it is hard to follow, even for one such as myself, no stranger to excessive verbiage & hyperbole as it were.

This humble Pixie asks you to tone it back just a notch, so that your magnificent and erudite texts may be better understood by all, and not just admired for their cleverness :)

Is this post perchance one of those to go thrice through Google Translate?

I totes understand the need to perplex The Spinner of Lies and his Scrabblesque power, but seriously, thou dost lay it on a bit thick.

The combination of secret identities and an unusual Day One voting mechanic made it so. Stick it out, as if it were your first game with people totally unknown to you. You will get the swing of it :)

I barely knew whom I could cast a ballot on for myself; one thing that drew my eye about you was that you were keeping tabs on who voted for Jorhan. This more than anything makes me feel you were perhaps in league with him.

It is therefore possible that Jorhan is one of our enemies, and that some or all of Queran. Bronwyn and Carmen (all of whom I found somewhat shady on Day 1) intervened to protect their fellow fiend.

Dierdre Wonderbird wrote:So reading back and catching up, I noted a few little things, nothing big but enough to make a note of them for later.

First off, the only real topic of discussion on Day 1 was Rumpy and potential ways around his power. While I applaud discussion, and I think the back n forth was good, it inevitably led to one of the thing i hate about Day 1s which is that someone got lynched for something they said about a side topic which everyone seemed to admit could have been said by a civ.

With no real case or suspicion, it feels to me like the idea of finding someone in the Rumpy discussion to lynch would be a good move for the mafia, but more than that, a smart mafia would promote the idea in theory, let it take root, and then back away from it to avoid being attached to the lynch.

So I'll say that I've got my eye on Laine Crystalsteam. This progression of posts is ping-y to me. It's all promoting voting for people who had certain kinds of posts about Rumpy and then BAM, I'll just vote for this guy who said he'd vote for the lowest poster but then didn't quite vote for the lowEST poster. It smells.

Laine Crystalsteam wrote:I think I may vote for Gaerwen Gleamingrace, as I found it weird that he/she was against using foreign languages to circumvent Rumpelstiltskin's ability. I know it's not much of a reason, but it is Day 1 and that's all I have to go on.

Dilan Bluemoss wrote:
I was against it as well, because it would have mad communication impossible.
Yes, I suppose you're right. It would be difficult. I just don't really have a reason for voting anyone.
Laine Crystalsteam wrote:
I agree with what you said about Caillic. Seems like a good way to go. It is very odd that he/she would not try to find a way around the ability. If she/he is on Rumpelstiltskin's team and knows that there are consequences, he/she might be faking civvieness by alerting us to consequences from the hosts. Though, it's very tricky to get a read on people right now.
Laine Crystalsteam wrote:I am thinking of voting for Bac because he/she claimed that he was going to vote for the lowest poster, which is Etain Royalskull (0 in-game posts) but Bac voted for Jorhan Poisondart who had one post at the time.
Laine Crystalsteam wrote:The Flying Satyrs have decided that our vote shall go to Bac Wunderelin, Rajah of the Twilight Pixies for his/her contradictions in his/her vote.
After Dilan responded to my post, I thought about it and realised that Gaerwen and Dilan were right and that communicating in another language would not work, thereby negating my reason for the vote. I then looked and noticed the contradiction in Bac's vote and voted for him. I don't see anything wrong with that.
I do :)

I did not do so, I never mentioned "no shows"; I mentioned people who low posted. You extrapolated. You were reaching, very much so.

I must say I agree with Diedres analysis; I think Laine wanted to vote for me for whatever REAL reason s/he had, and made up a reason.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 1

Thank You illustrious Host Lady :noble:

I tried to search the word I had in mind, and it was too common, I am glad I do not have to reread every post based on a hunch that is possibly totally silly, probably, actually, lol.

Yes, your greatuncle, Sigobert Flowingrass wiped out an entire Sunrise Pixie village that way. Since then we no longer build on the ground :p

I am going to the Woods. Both Castle & House were built by hands, the woods were here before hands, and will be here after.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Night 1

Gentle Hostladies, I know you said no more Rumple questions, but I don't want to waste a bunch of time searching if my thought is incorrect; was Rumple allowed to pick a word for Day One, or is his first word tonight? If you already answered this, sorry

I for one plan to continue to try to switch up my vocabulary. In addition to potentially helping to foil Rumple, it might also help Princess & Pea, since she can't lie detect statements with common Mafia words anyhow.

I know what word I would pick for Day One were I Rumple, and I plan to go back and search that word and see if there was anyone trying to push people to say it, or encourage it, depending on what the hostesses say.

linki; yay for :p
