Re: [NIGHT 9] Harry Potter Mafia

Great game Lizzy and A Person! I had a lot of fun.

see I told you Alizon sometimes people are just busy. I hope you remember this in future games. Still I had fun discussing with you.

Re: [DAY 9] Harry Potter Mafia

I am voting Karin We have been given a gift. Alizon herself has given it to us.

The way to find out about Alizon for sure is by testing those she brought to us. It will put to rest her alignment fore the rest of the game.

Anne Redferne trying to discount Agnes/Harry Potter only makes me more sure that we should follow Jennet and Barbara.
Suggesting we lynch Jennet or Barbara only proves NOTHING except that you prefer to waste lynches. Why would you want to waste another day of no lynch Anne Redferne? Why would any sane civ want to lynch someone who is dead? They are not rezz'ed and are not here permanently this makes no sense to lynch them.

If Karin comes back bad I think her partners are Jane Southworth and Anne Redferne and ofc Alizon.

I find it quite hilarious that Alizon has completely dropped me from her radar.

Alizon Device wrote:Pop quiz, class!

1. You are Mary's teammate. But lately, Mary's started bugging out in the thread. Whether it is because you and your team advised her to do this or not, others cannot say. What do you do?

a) Vote early for Mary for civvie credit
b) Vote late for Mary for civvie credit
c) Try to get someone else lynched
d) Vote 7th for Mary to "throw in the towel"

2. You are Mary's teammate. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, you missed the day 1 vote, the one which is arguably the easiest for you and your team to blend in. Because of this, you have incurred a penalty. For some reason, your team thinks it would be a wise decision to miss another vote. Which one do you miss?

a) The day 2 bandwagon against Bridget Bishop
b) The day 3 bandwagon against Entjen (that got switched to Krystyna)
c) The day 5 bandwagon against Mary
d) The day 4 bandwagon against Margaret Pearson, in which you could have voted just about any other way and came out looking better for it.

3. Someone with a questionable thread presence gets resurrected. How, you cannot say. This person was not expected. Without consulting you or anyone else, this person places a second vote on Karin, urges everyone to do the same, and makes up easily refutable points to accomplish this goal. What do you do?

a) Vote Karin immediately
b) Listen to what others have to say
c) View the evidence for yourself
d) Voice your own opinion and wait for feedback
e) b, c, & d because wtf is this?

#1 - depends on the player - everyone plays different whether you like it or not.

#2 - again depends on the player and how busy they are. Maybe their team had no say because Karin is hardly around. I have never once told a teammate how to play. I let everyone play their own way. Do you tell people how to play? How has that worked out for you?

#3 - you suggested we listen to the "guest speaker" yourself yet YOU are not. Why?

Re: [DAY 9] Harry Potter Mafia

I find it odd how Alizon hinted at a "guest speaker" at Hogwarts and how she was interested in what they said.
Alizon Device wrote:I hope after today, the class will wake up and study much harder.

We will have a guest speaker, hopefully here at Hogwartz for some time, and I am rather interested in hearing what she has to say.
Then when they come back and Barbara makes a very strong case against Karin and she discounts everything they say.
Alizon Device wrote:Is it weird that after three days of Alizon / Malin votes, Karin is the most suspicious from both the resurrected? And no reasons were given?

Not to forget she saved Malin (or herself again who knows) while at the same time saying she had suspicion of her. Either way she is defending someone she herself finds suspicious.

I think I may follow Jennet and Barbara with a vote for Karin.

also I am for the civs. I do not think Alizon is. So her productive lynch is to take eyes off of her (which is not working btw) and focus them on a civ. If thats a productive lynch you are right I want no part of it.

Why Anne - what is it specificly about her that makes you so sure she is bad?

I already told you - I get her vote and I don't know if I agree with it - but I understand it - I told you already I wasn't sure about the votes you took. I already asked all these questions but apparently - I'm not good enough to respond to. so AGAIN - I ask you - why did you vote Anne - what was it about HER posts that made you most convinced she was a baddie.

I was willing to talk long before this post, but apparently - I'm not worthy enough of a response from. especially from a civ fighting for their lives. When someone is giving them the BOTD. :sigh:

Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to myself...
I was quite willing to talk but apparently you have to be low enough for Alizon's standards. I have too high of standards for Alizon. I hope she is not mean to you.
I responded to her suspicion but she did not care, her suspicion stems from my vote for Malin last round. And also that I do not play games I sign up for and I do not read or take interest in them.

Sorry I am not as full of free time as you seem to be. I play games I sign up for too. I put time in. I do read and catch up I just do not post every little thought that comes into my head. Now you have pulled out the old no u and it only makes me more confident you are bad.

You and Malin both will not let go of your low poster stances even though they have been quite fruitless. If you lynch me for being a low poster I hope you learn something for future games such as admitting sometimes people are busy and cba'ed to be as active as they would like to be.

Definitely does not mean Idc what happens to the civ's bc I do hence my votes for who I believe to be baddie. As for my last vote it was quite obv no one was going to vote you as the tide had turned to Malin my vote would not have mattered if I had voted you. As a civ I like my vote to matter.

Re: [NIGHT 5] Harry Potter Mafia

I think I will be loking at Alizon for this next lynch.
She was a big pusher of lynching low posters.
She defended Mary and was actually saying she would come up teacher.
She has been using twisted logic to defend her points with healthy doses of snarkabilly.
When Merga was trying to keep focus on Mary and Entjen she was trying to geit on Jonsdotter.
Her vote for Maret came across as without reasoning. even after re-reading I see no reasoning.

There is more but I suggest you read her posts yourself to form your own opinion.

Apparently, she cannot be a baddie because of a failed NK attempt on her. So, who else is the game has questionable motives and possible teammates? The Teachers. That's the read I'm definitely getting from Jennet. It also makes sense why she was so offended when I was suspicious of them. We've had 4 nights, that's more then enough time for the Teachers to find each other.

So, let's say Jennet is a teacher, what should we do about it? A clarification from A Person says that the Students are civvies, the Teachers are indies, and Voldemort's Army are baddies. Unfortunately, I haven't really gotten much of a feel for anyone else, except maybe Entjen in terms of baddies. At this point, I'm open to lynching an indie because I feel like it would be very informative as to what their purpose is, and who the others are.
This doesn't make any sense. At all. Even if you lynched a teacher, it wouldn't tell you anything about their purpose, their secrets, their win conditions, nada.

And why would the teachers have found each other by Day 5?
Mary - you are right we don`t know their win conditions. What we DO KNOW is that they are not killing civs. The Death Eaters are. Win conditions or not your priority as a civ is to lynch those that are harming us. At least thats the way I see it. Why are you so intent on this no u instead of looking for Death Eaters that can kill you at night?

Alizon - I think its quite possible some or all have found each other for btsc. You dismissing it so quick is pingy tbh.

Sorry I have not been around. I cannot seem to wrap my brain about the last lynch.
To go after low posters on Day 4 seemed a bit of a stretch when most of the time they only lead to civ death.

I am still not caught up because work has been in the way of me being here. But that stopped as of today so hopefully I will be more involved now.

linki: Yeah it's possible Hermione is involved... but unless she checked Agnes night 1 and is somehow just now sharing the info, then it must have been a dead role check, which could be a different power, perhaps an unlisted one. Either way it's weird that we were told, that almost never happens in games, and I'm not sure whether I should trust it or not.
I believe it was Harry that was killed for you to dismiss it so quickly cricked my brow along with the general tone of your posts.

I also do not like how Barbara completely ignored Bridgets last post.

I do not think Entjen should be overlooked just bc she is under some sort of posting restriction. She was front and center for 2 lynches both times we lost important civ roles. I imagine they gave her the restrcition hoping she would be giiven a pass today. I do not like it. It feels all icky and covered with baddie hands.
