I will take what you say into consideration; You may well be right. For now, we agree that Carmen needs to go.

And I will not shatter the day silence again.

I did think Laine was suspect, but I would have called him for the other team, not this one. Perhaps my thought that Dallon was bad is wrong, or perhaps HE was on the Wicked team.

I feel Shand is being blendier than he needs to be. Euro as well; I had her pegged as a potential last teammate of Carmen if there was one, but numerically that is not possble, so perhaps she is on the Wicked team or an SK? There are very limited civs left, so after Carmen is gone we have some hard calls to make.
You are rotten to the core and I know it. I know why you shattered the silence. You stole Rumplestiltskin's power for one Night, didn't you? Cool secret power, I must say. ;)

I voted for Rapunzel as my favorite. Have y'all seen Tangled? Very cute!

For a lynch, I would have to say I am suspicious of Miyaki as well. He has been pretty pingy to me throughout the game. I believe he jumps to conclusions about people too easily (like me for example). Maybe he's just been trying to keep us from keeping an eye on *him*.

Also @ Carmen, I don't think you answered my question; what did you think of the late Rhinfrew defending you? I know when I am a civvie and someone chimes in with a defense of me, that can make me nervous, and I don't recall that you reacted to his defense at all, although I guess I could have missed it. Do you think he was a civ?
I'm sorry I didn't answer before, I must have overlooked your question in the thread. My opinion of Rhinfrew defending me....I don't think he was defending *me* at all. All he said (in my own words) was that the case against me was poor.

Rhinfrew's comments didn't make me nervous. I am unsure as to why someone would be nervous if they are being defended like you say.

I didn't have to react to Rhinfrew's comments because I had already told everyone that the case against me was poor. Various players pointed out several possibilities as to why I was being saved from lynches and some of them did not have explanations that included me being a baddie. Why is that? B/c even though I was saved from lynches, I am civ. And, I believe Rhinfrew was civ too. :srsnod:

Now wait, I seem to recall you saying that my fun-loving spirit and lightheartedness does me credit. :lorab: I should have come out with that from the beginning. I was just afraid of Rumple and saying too much.

What exactly do you have against me? Yeah, I survived a lynch. Obviously Rumple was trying to cause confusion and was successful. What else?

Linki with Miyaki: I was quite confused about the whole role hinting thing at first. I didn't have a clue what Bac was talking about. I didn't get it until later when someone else clarified (don't remember who). I thought it was hilarious that you all read into it so much, sorry it was. I was sooo so busy at the time when I finally understood, however, and did not refute it. I apologize. I just thought it was too hilarious. But, even if I did say, "Hey, no role hinting is going on here" I bet you all would just have said.. "See! She's BAD!" Once under suspicion, it doesn't matter what you do, it is CRAZY difficult to redeem yourself.
Carmen, what you say here could be straight up truth, but in my experience in past games, when I've been suspected as bad, but I'm actually a townie, I frankly breathe a sigh of relief when someone steps forward and says something in one of my posts gives them pause. If something is brought up that saves me from the lynch, I'm just relieved, whether my post was intended in the way it gets interpreted or not. If I'm bad, and someone defends me or saves me, I'm also relieved but I do find it funny. I just don't know what to make of you.

linkitis- Shand, I was just going there, but since you already did- :p
First, I haven't been replaced. I was tired of playing a scared little civvie - afraid and walking on egg shells so I don't say the rumple word. After all the Rumple talk in the beginning, I began the game very timidly and didn't say much. After a while, I wanted to just be more light-hearted and have fun.

So, if you're civvie, you're relieved and if you're bad, you're relieved. However, you are only allowed to find it funny that players read too much into things if you are one but not the other?

The glass slipper being "the right fit" I thought was clever. Voting for Rune, maybe a message will be revealed - I didn't know what rune was before that poll. I looked up the definition and wrote my post based on learning of its meaning. And, Cinderella is my favorite story, for real, with spin-offs such as Ever After and Ella Enchanted. As a relatively new player, I can only imagine that role-hinting would not be allowed and so I wouldn't intentionally do it. I am a follow-the-rules kind of gal. I was crazy busy for the second and third week in May (doctor's appointments, work, and field trips). I didn't get on much, just made sure I had my votes in. I really wasn't aware of the supposed role hinting until after the second instance. By then, not many players were talking about it anymore and I had been kind of cleared of earlier suspicions. I was relieved, so I kept quiet about it. Then the favorite story thing came up. I could have lied and picked a different story, but I am a truthful person, so I posted Cinderella to be my favorite.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 7

Miyuki Lovelymoth wrote:Carmen is now on my watch list. To sound confused in her posts, and word things in a way that says, "here I am Prince, find me!" suggested someone who hasn't played much. But her post today mentioning her experience with the game, and sounding much more sure of herself, have me on edge. Not that I didn't appreciate the humor of the post, a witch always enjoys a good cackle. (if cackle turns out to be the magic word du jour, I'll ship my draws)

I'm interested in hearing more from Deirdre today. And Ameerah. And Laine.

And Carmen, have you any suspicions you'd like to share?
I never said *how* much experience I have with mafia, just that I have some. My experience could be just from what I have observed in this game only. I would come right out and say if this was my first game or how many games I have played if I weren't Carmen. However, I think the point of being Carmen, or Miyuki, is to keep all of those types of things secret.

I've not been calling out to a the prince. "The right fit" comment was meant to be clever and funny and Cinderella really is my favorite story. I am a really bad liar. So, I tend to stick with the truth, which is what I have done all game. I had been very quiet in the beginning, sticking to short posts that were very to-the-point. I was afraid to be a pawn in Rumple's hand. But, when it came to the night of the poll about the glass slipper (I cannot remember the other options off the top of my head), I decided it was about time to have some fun.

That said, (and I know this sounds a bit contradictory with this post in mind),I would say that my suspicions lie in those with really lengthy posts. They have something to say but babble on and on before getting to the point, or they have not point at all. The say, "So-and-so may be bad. He did this, and this, and that. Or, you know...I could be wrong." This makes me think they are a part of Rumple's team and aren't afraid to accidentally use the word of the day. Now, watch me get caught saying the word b/c I finally made a semi-long post.

linki with Etain - Yes. If you were Rumple and had enough votes to manipulate any way you'd like, why not do so. Who cares who you are saving one civvie and getting rid of another. You would do it just to mess with people's heads. I think I would.
I never got to play soccer...no legs.

I do not believe the suspicion in your direction has much to do with you being busy (someone may correct me if I am wrong). If I understand correctly, it hinges on two things:

1. The Jorhan lynch
2. The you lynch (that didn't happen)

Regarding #1, I already explained why I don't put any stock in that here: viewtopic.php?p=20119#p20119

#2 is what makes me uneasy about you.

I was also thinking about this...Rumple would look at saving me and lynching another civvie as a great opportunity because I am already under suspicion. In doing this, he buys his team more time. For example: Rumple switches the lynch from Carmen to Bac. Bac is lynched and is found civ. Now players turn back to Carmen whom Rumple knows to be civvie instead of possibly going after one of his own teamates. Like I said, buys the mafia another day/night.
Except he wouldn't know you were a "civvie" he would just know you were not on his team, per your theory that about 10 other people have already posited. Sorry, something about the way you "defend" just don't ring true with me.

8.

Well, yes, I guess he could think I am a Serial Killer, but even still his intent would be the same....buy his team, the mafia, more time.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 4

When I was a kid and in school, soccer was my favorite sport for P.E. I loved playing defense/goalie. I liked to take a back seat and watch offense go at it and then save my team from getting scored upon when the ball came my way. I think I play Mafia the same way. Just because I am not out there on the offense and making cases against this person or that person doesn't mean I should be automatically looked at as bad. (Funny, though, I have taken the offense in Mafia before as well, and was still a quick suspect.)

I have been crazy busy this week and I should be working right now, but I am choosing Mafia :). I think the best case we have is against Finnian. All of the suspicions you have about me are just suspicions. Why did I survive the lynch? Who knows. As some of you have mentioned, there are several possibilities. There is no real evidence showing that I am bad. Now, what we have on Finnian, that is evidence. He failed to vote (meaning he would lose his night ability) then we have no night kills. I definitely believe he should be on the chopping block today.

linki with Mainchin - What if Rumple saved me from the lynch to throw everyone off, confuse you all, make you think I am mafia so you will lynch me and not one of his own.

linki with Etain - Yes. If you were Rumple and had enough votes to manipulate any way you'd like, why not do so. Who cares who you are saving one civvie and getting rid of another. You would do it just to mess with people's heads. I think I would.

That said, it seems clear to me where the focus of today will be and baring the absence of an Act of Don Cheadle-Kracken, I can venture a fairly accurate guess as to the direction of the vote.

*THAT* said, I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on the following:

1) Gobnait's eerily accurate decoding of Bac's post about the secret role theory.

2) Carmen's missing Mainchin thoughts

Linki - Is that a trick question Rhinfrew?

5.
I'll speak to my missing Mainchin thoughts. I was never able to go back and read up on Mainchin to gather my own thoughts like I would have liked to. This has been a crazy busy week so far with field trips and doctor's appointments and work. I'd like to say that I have time right now to read over Mainchin's posts, but the baby could wake at anytime. I can say, though, that I think Flowingrass has a great case against Finnian. Finnian's behavior and lack of voting along with the lack of night kills is suspicious to me.

So from the other posters eval, I did nt look myself admittedly, it seems there's no civ why for you to have survived. And you seem to not know either so that rules out secrets.

So any thoughts on your survival?
Your guess is as good as mine. :ponder:

Okay, there is a technical issue and I cannot vote as of yet. I will vote Rune once the issue has been solved.

Re: Grimm's Fairy Tale Mafia - Day 3

I’m sorry I have not been around much. I was away most of the day (again) and today my infant had to get shots, so that’s been no fun. :(

What exactly is the case against me? I voted Caillic Day 1 because the two so-called random votes and the one illegal vote didn’t sit well with me. I was wrong. I voted Jorhan Day 2 because the case made against him was very strong. People had convinced me. Ameerah, I didn’t “pretty quickly” vote for Jorhan. I voted near the end, about three hours before the poll ended. Sadly, I was wrong. I’m frustrated because I haven’t been as involved as I would like to be, but I have kids, and the past few days have been very busy.

Ameerah Frolicstag wrote: Carmen - Day 1 she seems to be defending Jorhan because she doesn't like the "random" votes for him and votes Caillic. Day 2 she says she wasn't defending Jorhan by voting Caillic and proves that by voting Jorhan. Then posts that she thought "we had this one right" re: Jorhan which seems odd based on her Day 1 votes. She later explains when questioned that she thought the cases seemed fair. The flip flop on Jorhan seems abrupt considering she explicitly stated she was leaning good on him Day 1...but she doesn't have many posts so it's hard to get a solid read on her.

It doesn't matter who was in the place Jorhan was. I thought it was crazy that players kept saying they were voting randomly but kept coming up with Jorhan. No flip-flopping here.

Why do you say this? You never actually expressed any doubts against him, did you?
I'm sorry, I have been quite busy this past weekend with RL stuff (work, kid's birthday, etc). However, I thought the cases made against him seemed fair.

I don't know Shand from a shandy, and I don't much like shandies. If I'm going to drink lemonade, I'll add it to vodka, not beer. Shand has been helpful, but Shand voted for Caillic, and Carmen voted Caillic mentioning trust. Trust on Day 1...hell, I hardly have trust on Day 5. Bothers me.

I think people are making sense about Jorhan. Jorhan missed the vote, and then within the hour proceeded to analyze all of the Caillic voters, going so far as to praise Shand for "gun sticking." Sounds like a net cast wide if you ask me:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=148&p=19514#p19514

My only reservation regarding Jorhan comes from last night's poll. Thoughts?

linki: I'm not saying there are winners and losers. I'm just saying one choice had an overwhelming number of people vote for it. That's all I mean by "win."
My trust for Shand was based on my gut (isn't almost everything based on gut for Day 1?), but my vote for Caillic was because of players claiming they were voting randomly but kept coming up Jorhan.

As for the polls, my guess would be that the evildoers would have spread themselves out as not to draw attemtion to themselves.
