Return to “AMERICAN GODS~ Day 10”

I had planned on using my role ability to create a network of civvies via temporary BTSC, but I was recruited on Night 1. I was still planning on using the temp. BTSC to help us win, but it didn't really work out. I tried to give Apollo BTSC with Artemis with my Night 0 target, but it failed and caused me to be insanified on Day 1. Anyway, I think the only successful target of mine was giving Artemis and Medusa BTSC. Every other night my target either failed or I was blocked. I tried to give myself BTSC with Chronos on Night 5 I think, but it failed. Then, I finally was successful on Night 9 when I gave myself BTSC with Helios for Day/Night 10. Then, of course, I only got one PM to Helios because I was busy all day today.
Roles etc coming up shortly.
I also want to especially thank those who did double duty, like Epignosis, Roxy, Elohcin, A Person, Borok, DisPro and everyone who replaced back it. It made the game work so much better~ I think we had 4 Electras lol
@Lizzy~ that pesky helios was more trouble than you realize~ he's the one who brought Chronos back![]()
You played a great game, Dom! I tried to get BTSC with you twice, but I failed both times. Night 5 was one of the nights I attempted it. I can't remember the other night.Dom wrote:Had Electra and Zeus realized what was happening... Had Chronos lived (and he still had a few votes up his sleeve, and was trying to switch to Ceres at the end (which would have given the civs a shot, since she had the only other kill), but did not have the numbers to do it.
You all played an amazing game
Liki~ I never understood that. Had he been lynched (and he came close a few times with secret votes) he would have flipped civ which would not have looked good for you, Apollo~And I would have gotten away with no votes if it weren't for that pesky Helios.

Lynching me will not help our cause, my fellow civvies. If you want to win, don't lynch me. In case no one has put it together by now, I am doing what I can to help. Hinzleman has obviously jumped onto this bogus "Phoenix must be Hinzleman" idea. I have missed the last 2 votes to try to force Hinz's hand. He had to either try to kill on a day where I missed the lynch vote...which would have proven to everyone that they were looking in the wrong direction...OR it would keep him from killing. It's really a shame that I've had to resort to this and you will see why when my role is revealed.
Anyway, I hope that my fellow civvies will not jump aboard this bandwagon and look elsewhere.
lol. What was there to even address? Apollo kept saying I fit the bill to be Hinzleman because of the timing of my missed votes. How do I address that in any way other than saying it's just wrong?Pluto wrote:RIPIYWG Ares. WBIYAG Chronos.
I had to go back and re-read it. The only part I remembered was Eros saying he thought it was suspicious that I "doubted" him. This is the rest of what I could find.Aphrodite wrote:Did you read the discussion during this past lynch? If yes then you already know why people voted for you. If not start by reading Eros case about you. There were several made inre to you. Very compelling stuff imo.Pluto wrote:Had absolutely no time to check in and vote at all today. Really sorry about that. RIP Eros.I'm sorry I doubted you at times. Probably would have voted Phoenix again today.
I would like to hear more from those who voted for me about why I'm so suspicious? Because either there isn't much of a case on me or I missed something somewhere. Quotes would be nice as well.
Yes, my voting record has been incredibly poor. I don't see how a terrible voting record alone is enough to make me a baddie. I've been an (at times) very confused civvie in this game. But I feel more certain now. And speaking of which...Eros wrote:Back and forth, you say?Pluto wrote: I've doubted you because you've made me go back and forth on you several times this game. And when you say you've "demonstrated your goodness", what are you referring to?![]()
The only people you have helped lynch have been civilians. Naughty, naughty.
Not a save. I was unsure about Pandora (still am) and far more sure about Phoenix (still am). Pandora was at least willing to defend against her accusations. Phoenix has completely brushed them off with statements like "I am a civvie." Deflecting accusations instead of addressing them is the mark of a baddie to me.Eros wrote:I also want to point out that on Day 6, Pluto voted for Phoenix sixth, after Pandora had three votes, and then it got tied up. Pandora's teammate hoping for a save? Entirely possible.
well, even though it may seem No-Uey, I would have to say Apollo. It's borderline insane this infatuation he has had with continuing to hold on to me as a suspect with crap evidence.Aphrodite wrote:If not you then who? Who is your top 2 suspects and why?Phoenix wrote:Apollo setting himself up for an epic fail.
2 equates to several?Apollo wrote:Happy to! I had Phoenix pegged as a potential Hinzelmann because he voted Day 1, which Hinzelmann must have, and he has missed several votes since then, and I believe Hinzelmann must be fairly inactive based on his lack of kills. The only other player that fits the profile better is Poseidon, and I'm choosing to trust Eros on him for the time being, because I can't see why anyone would want to defend Hinzelmann.Chronos wrote: Apollo, can you quickly go over the case you have against Pheonix? I am a bit confused on it, partially because I can't remember a lot of it. Sorry!
That sentence is pretty suspect tbh. That seems like more of a slip than anything else I've seen in this game. It sounds like you threw that "yet" in there by accident. It could be seen as you saying, "I am bad, but I haven't done anything shady for you to call me out on as of yet."Pandora wrote:Apollo wrote:Actually, I find that sentence itself pretty suspicious.Pandora wrote: I am not sure how you can have any suspicions of me yet.Everyone just wants someone to point a finger at.
Skipping an early kill or two is not that big of a concession to make if it keeps him off of people's list of SK suspects IMO. It's not a good strategy to continuously use for the entire game, but skipping a kill is not a bad strategy...especially when you have so much game discussion about how the SK is likely someone that has missed lynch votes. See how that works? In my opinion it would be an unlikely scenario if there wasn't so much talk about it.Pandora wrote:I have to agree with Apollo here. Phoenix, why would you forgo your NKs when you are trying to get rid of everyone in order to win?Apollo wrote:Yes, but I think that would be a bad strategy for a role that should want to kill off as many people as quickly as possible (I'm making what I consider to be a fairly weak assumption that the SK has a LMS win condition).Phoenix wrote:Just for the sake of exploring all possibilities, it should be said that this SK could do something crazy like skip night kills for the sake of making non voters seem suspect.Apollo wrote:As for me, I'm back on my hunt for Hinzelmann. No SK kill today, so we're looking for someone who voted day one, but has missed other votes. That leaves Mars, Phoenix and Vesta. Mas and Vesta have each missed one lynch vote, Phoenix has missed two. Therefore, Phoenix is my top suspect today (although I still don't trust Aphrodite and Athena very much at all.)
Win Conditions:
Win with your team, dead or alive (except SK, lol)
Civs~ defeat Mafia & SK
Low Key & Wednesday: Secret
Mafia: Defeat civs, SK & Other Mafia
Hinzlemann~ Last Man Standing

Plus, Eros is defending me, a civvie, so I know he must be civvie too.Medusa wrote:Don't you think it's an equally bold move for a civvie to make? It's like saying 'here I am baddies. But that still makes it a very bold move for a baddie.Medusa wrote:I must be unfamiliar with this style of mafia, the 'don't vote so&so' method. Why would Eros endorse two players, and not expect it to paint a target on himself and the other two players? Because he isn't worried about being a target?
Now Zeus is doing the same with Athena![]()
Anyone have an idea about whether this strategy of being blatant is a civvie or baddie thing?
Put it this way. As a civ you see another person you think is civ being put under suspicion. How would you handle the situation? So far Athena has suspected a civ and failed to vote twice. In my opinion it is more common for civs to miss votes. Not that baddies don't. They certainly do.
I do think it is a bold move for a civvie, but not AS bold. If I were a civvie and knew a couple of suspected others to be for sure civvie, I think I would stick my neck out there and say, "hey, don't vote them, they are good." Even if I didn't have any evidence to show, I would still try.
It sounded like you were also calling me out because I was "tagging along with another".Eros wrote:I was calling Persephone out on what seemed like an inconsistency.Phoenix wrote:Phoenix wrote:What are you trying to get at with this post?Eros wrote:Phoenix wrote:I vote Fortuna.Keep this in mind folks. Aphrodite wrote:Well my lovelies, I was a bit preoccupied the last few days. There was a rousing party with lots of strapping young men that I simply could not bear to leave. And what would a party be without glamorous me there to bring a little life (and seduction)? Now I am back to grace you with my presence again. I will try to be more focused on our proceedings, but with Vesta constantly harping on virginity it was beginning to feel a bit tedious. I mean, really! All these attractive gods and goddesses, why shouldn't we enjoy ourselves? Don't get your panties in such bundle Vesta darling, life can be much more fun!
To the question of whether Hinzelman gained something from the move to Wisconsin, I can't imagine how he didn't given the fact our host seemed to imply exactly that. I will likely be looking at Wisconsin voters for my lynch vote.
