That depends on what is best for the balance of the game. 25 players, how many are bad? How many are independent? We know none of this. Perhaps civs were give more power and baddies numbers are greater. I am not sure.

Re: Day 3 -The Syndicate Mafia

I don't have time to elaborate further until later but I wanted to get something out there. I want to prove to my fellow civs that I can be trusted. Hopefully this will at least foster discussion and I will be back later to converse as well.

I know I have said that I would try to stop playing defense and pay offense instead. I am starting off my suspicions with SVS. I know it my sound as if I am only targeting her because she has been targeting me, but oh well. She is tunneling and I it makes her look bad.

My next suspicion is blooper. She has two posts in the whole game. There is a small number of players participating in the thread. Some of the mafia must be inactive and she seems like a perfect candidate in my opinion.

Lastly, full disclosure, I am still on the fence about Syn. My thoughts of him were that he could have slipped and really knows there are five mafia. I thought his initial reaction was genuine, but that his posts quickly turned sketchy.

Linki: I wish you would have waited. However, I would still like your input on my thoughts.

To answer everyone's questions. No, I did not switch the lynch. I just said that it is more difficult to lynch me. I cannot reveal everything about my role, that is infodumping, of course. Think a little more on it and I am sure you can come up with a way that it would be more difficult to lynch me. Any time I get the most votes, there is a chance I will die.

This may have some merit. I read back for context and you did raise the issue when prompted aside from the first time. I'm still bothered by it though because you maintained it as a real cause for suspicion and I really don't think it is, even on day 1. Synonym could have named any number of people and this logic could apply the same way, suspecting him for naming five people instead of four or six or whatever seems forced. Also there's this:
Long Con 2 wrote:SVS-I have no specific example at the moment as I need to hurry off and prepare some sandwiches. However, I can say off the top of my head that I have seen mafia throw names out in the beginning of a game in order to gauge reaction from the civilians. I'm assuming there's no need to make any sandwiches now, so I hope you can address this point. I asked you for an example of a mafia member blurting out a pile of names on day 1 because you said you think baddies do that. I don't see how baddies would gain anything by "gauging reactions" about random names at the very beginning of the game.
Not blurting out a pile of names, but bringing up a person or persons begin mafia when there is nothing to go on yet just to see how they and the thread reacts to those specific names. It a way to know their next move, who they should seriously consider making a "case" for. In all honesty I don't know how to give you a specific example without going back and reading Day 1 of the games I have been in before and I don't have to time to do that as I have played several games over the years. Please forgive me but mafia doesn't mean THAT much to me that I would spend hours searching for those examples. I am shocked that you have never seen such a thing happen. I have even had a fellow mafia player tell me (outside of mafia) that he/she does this on a regular basis at the beginning of his/her game.

The host specifically said that the lynch was not tied.

So even though the vote totals appeared that way, there was some sort of manipulation, even if someone's vote was worth more than others.
I am glad to be alive. I'm not surprised that there was a lynch manipulation (or two or three...who knows) as that is normal in most games I've played. I usually don't care for them as it makes it more difficult to decipher what happened during the lynch. But in this case, I'm thankful.

I asked a question because the forum looked drastically different and much more boring when I originally logged into this account. You say it doesn't bother you "as much" as me listing five names, but why does that even bother you at all?
You are right. The skin thing doesn't bother me at all actually. In fact, I assume that the person who last used your sock account had just left it that way. Naming five names right out of the bat like that does bother me a bit. Specifically naming five names could mean that you know there are five mafia members. That is all I meant to imply with my post. That said, can you tell us why you chose to name the five players that you did? And can you tell us why you stopped at five?
