Re: Rolling Stones Mafia Day 5

MovingPictures07 wrote:Hedge - Your response is duly noted. If you are a civvie, please take my apologies. I still think you aren't though. If there is anything you still need to address, I will let you know.

I think it's weird Hedge concludes Mongoose must be bad because missed vote = no kill. I already said my theory on why there was no kill and that's that I believe it is heavily possible the killer was blocked last night. Even if not so and I am wrong, to conclude Mongoose is baddie based on that seems really fishy to me, especially since as I pointed out there are many blocks and protects going around. This only solidifies my viewpoint that Hedge is likely baddie.

I'm wondering if Epig is baddie instead of DP because he even said how strong of a candidate DP was, and now his weird switch of a vote onto Mongoose today makes me wonder. I guess more analysis can come after the result; I may be putting the cart before the horse.

And Russ, yes, it probably is unlike me. I literally just walked in the door and haven't done anything else. I didn't feel that strongly that you, Mongoose, or Epig were bad, and I seriously intended on just voting Hedge and not having to worry about the vote, especially since I knew I'd be busier. I've been working more on my PhD applications as well and it's taking longer than even anticipated, so I knew I wouldn't have hardly any time to discuss this Day 5 cycle. Additionally, I thought it was already well discussed that Hedge and DP seemed like good options, so when Epig comes in here and is all like, "This strikes me as ludicrous", when even he himself admitted DP's actions should have been examined under scrutiny earlier just seems weird to me. But anyway, I thought, I had to make a decision just in case I didn't get around to voting; I literally had only a few minutes this morning. So I just went with DP.

I honestly don't know about you, Mongoose, and Epig; none of you have really struck me as overtly baddie this game, but I've had plenty of my moments of paranoia and thinking you could be baddie -- but didn't want to say anything until I could back it up to myself with logic. Paranoia with no basis does nobody any good.

For what it's worth, I really don't think you're baddie. Mongoose MIGHT be, but I really don't think so. Epig and DP are possibilities. Hedge I'm almost sure is, though I'm trying to consider all the possibilities, and I'm still even nervous about her.
There's a lot for me to consider in there before the next vote (if I live).

I agree with you on your analysis of DP certainly. I feel he is a stronger candidate. If he popped up bad, I think then we could analyze any possible BTS partners he may have.

I could go on and on about this, but I will try to distill my thoughts on Hedge to a very concise graf. As someone who has played the same amount of time as her (we signed up the same week, tra la la), I just feel she wouldn't err in the ways that her opponents have been insinuating. This ain't her first rodeo, as they say.

If I may bounce the ball back (aww I miss 4-square), what makes you (or any of you) feel that she is a better lynch candidate in comparison to DP?

We are being played for sure and if someone dies tonight we will be in really bad shape tomorrow if there are 3 baddies left. They will control the lynch and I will be a prime target again wasting another lynch opportunity.

I am not sure if MP is genuine in his belief of me as baddie or whether DP jumped on that bandwagon too fast, but I suspect one of them is definitely bad. Will be watching them both closely.

sorry I haven't been more active this weekend , but I am now sick too. Blergh. Hope to recover soon.
Does anyone actually believe any of this?
Perhaps - a lot of roles have protect and block abilities - there are just as many civ-friendly reasons for her escaping death (if not more) than mafia-friendly. I think we've all been there: you survive a vote and then everyone thinks you are bad because you survived.

I do find it really weird that everyone voted for her; I'm not in a place where I can complain about voting records, but I find this thoroughly strange.

A lot of players seem to have block and protect powers. Maybe one of the baddies detected somehow she used the block on them and somehow guessed she had an alignment-learning ability? Or for all we know, one of the secret abilities is to find out the other players' secret abilities.

Also, her being an indie (I am inferring that correctly, right?) makes her the most possibly-threatening to the baddies - they may not know what to expect out of her and that gave them great unease.

CRISS CROSS!

Yeah, there are a lot of blocks and protects going around. Hmmmm... interesting theory. It would be very different though; I don't think I've seen really any baddies that can "sense" when they've been blocked and who did it and what that person's role was (especially not all of those at once) but it's possible... I guess.

True, but I think it's probably much more simple; I doubt they knew her role or anything like that. Maybe she just seemed like a good target.

I've played in a few games with Juliets now, sure, but it seems I always tend to die early in those games (which has nothing to do with her being in those games, just a sad coincidence), so I am not sure I know how to read her yet.

You think it could be more in the vein of my Theory B then? Not that exact same necessary scenario, per se, but something similar? What are some other reasons that they could feel so threatened already? Just taking out a known strong player early on maybe, but I feel like there must be more to the story.

I will add a Theory C. Someone could be framing Llama Lo. That seems very rookie though! What if it's a double bluff -- Llama knows we wouldn't suspect him as murdering SVS, because it's wholly transparent, so he done murders her anyway.

Woo, I sound normal again. I hope you all could kinda understand me.

FootHat, I am not sure what to think. I didn't think the back-and-forth between SVS and Llama was particularly eventful, but maybe that's just in comparison to a couple of the more, um, colorful games we've had around here lately? It seemed to be standard operating procedure and I didn't see anything that SVS said to really put a target on her back.

Total speculation, but I'm guessing either:

a) A baddie really knows SVS's civ game and they decided she was a safe bet for a Night 2 murder; or

b) a baddie role checker revealed SVS to be someone with a really meaty night talent.

Loike the wahn bloke 'oo 'as the masters of the universe avatar. but na 'e will be Mum and Dad at meeeee and wanna Tiddley Win' me Claret so daan't let 'im, okay?

It's too Liz Hurley for me ter tell if 'e is a snakey Joe Blake obviously, but it's a bit pingy for me from this yoga ball on which I Eartha Kitt.

Does that make any Eigh'een Pence?

Re: Rolling Stones Mafia Night 1

Wa, lots of lizzy voters. she will never bee 'ive daahhhn 'er nerfarious win in thomas the tank engine game.

I've been readin' through aw me posts, and I aint even Bobby wot I thought they were supposed ter be.

I am a lil' concerned that a few of the bloomin' more aggressive players 're bein' a bit blendy this game. they 're contributin', Bobby, but it's aw pretty innocuous stuff. this bein' such a radical departure from their usual m.o. 'as me a lil' bit ka-wonk-a-wonk.

I'll vote for SVS because Llama seems like his old self to me, except more cockney which is quite brilliant. :P
I was going to agree with you because I have seen thos exact same situation with SVS and Llama before, but then I remembered this is Lizzy. Makes me go all :eye: swinging back in forth in my feelings now, but hope you come back befor the vote ans explain more.
Ok, Hedgie let me make sure I understand: are you saying you are considering voting for SVS because you've seen she and llama disagree in past games? And why would that lead you to vote SVS over llama? Maybe I've totally misunderstood what you're saying.
It seems loike the typical Brad Pitt and tat from Llamer and SVS ter me. I daan't clock that their Hammer and Tack and forf is particularly alarmin' either way; doesn't seem loike a 'ex per se. glad ya 're 'appy wif the results, Roxy!

A llama does not respond 'eaven and 'ell ter threats! I am always deeply suspicious of people 'oo agree wif others wifaht addin' thoughts of their Jack Jones. I fin' that is wot ya 'ave been doin' so far this game, and I am votin' for ya. if ya fin' a revenge vote Hammer and Tack is a smart fin' ter do, be me guest! *votes sock bloke*
Why the Liz Hurley vote? daan't ya fin' sum more shenanigans might occur this afternoon?

Re: Rolling Stones Mafia Night 1

I don't have strong feelings on Day 1 votes; I feel like baddies are too clever to tip their hands that early.

Some really good analysis from Hedge, but that's not surprising!

Welcome, Russti!
