Re: [DAY 2] Bioshock Mafia
Fools. May you all sink like dead weights like the city of Rapture itself.

Re: [NIGHT 1] Bioshock Mafia
I'm not in control of what you guys do, I was just giving up my plan of action because people accused it of being baddy-like behavior. Which, as I hope I have clarified, is just how I prefer to play mafia, and is not the result of devious intent.

Re: [NIGHT 1] Bioshock Mafia
Sweet, this bus has wifi.
Gah, this is why I participate in the actual discussion so infrequently. As a player who always keeps on the down-low, the second I open my mouth I'm in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. Not my style. Already been made to talk more than I wanted.
I meant no disparaging remarks towards the people here, it's just that in my experiences, mafia threads can explode with such ferocity over the pettiest of quibbles. Plus, when one's own interests aren't at stake, it's easier to make an unbiased assessment of the situation. Something I'm ill-fit to do now that I've become the antagonist of the day.

Re: [NIGHT 1] Bioshock Mafia
It's hardly refusing to play. Last I checked, the only "rule" for mafia games is to make the required votes and nighttime moves assigned. Which admittedly I'm guilty of forgetting to do for the past turn, but the blindingly sunny outside realm interfered with plans of its own.
Everyone plays this game a little differently, of that I'm sure no one will disagree. Some people are ardently vocal, as others are admittedly quiet. Seems the talkers are always given the benefit of the doubt over the silent observers, though.
And with that, I take my leave, as I'm taking a bus.

Re: [NIGHT 1] Bioshock Mafia
Nah, I like watching everything unfold from the afueras. That's just how I like to play mafia. I'll leave the public speculation to you folks. Forgive the intrusion, I'll only butt in when the game dictates I have to.

Re: [NIGHT 1] Bioshock Mafia
Hi. I missed the vote because I've been traveling a lot the past week and have been busy trying to get an apartment and a job locked down for the coming academic year, so I've been a bit aloof.bea wrote:also - you - I only remember you're playing because of your sig. I think this is the second time I've seen it.agleaminranks wrote:Oops.
What do you think about what's going on? I'd like to hear more from you.
I honestly hadn't even looked at the discussion prior to the vote, so this is all in retrospect, but it seems to me like A Person role outed himself pretty early:
Regardless of if he were lying or not about not knowing the identity of anyone else on his team, this still put him as a strong candidate for the civilian teams, as the Civvy 1 group minus the bots is the only group with exclusively stated role knowledge. He could've easily lied in this position. Or, had he been one of the security bots, as actually was the case, then he was telling the truth and had no role knowledge and blindly guessing would have been in his favor.A Person wrote:At this point voting randomly seems likely to result in voting for someone not on my team, and since I can't pretend I have anything to go on I might as well try that.
Plus, Matt is someone I've known for a long time and isn't one to act deceptively. I would have believed he was a civvy and would not have voted against him.
So those are my thoughts. But I dislike idle speculation, and I especially dislike much of the nonsensical and amateur pseudo-psychological warfare that happens in the mafia threads. I post very seldomly.

Re: [DAY 0] Bioshock Mafia
I'm scared shitless by dental surgery. I'll pass, thanks.
