Surprised JJJ has so many votes.
Anyway I'm going ahead and voting for Scotty and Wilgy.

Who am I going to vote for? Got less than an hour. I'm leaning toward Scotty and Wilgy.

Oh I also want to hear more from Wilgy. I feel like he's usually a lot more active than this, but I keep forgetting he's even in this game and I don't think that's a good sign. Likewise with sig, to a slightly lesser extent.

Jan stuck out to me because he's posted really openly about how he's used to different sites and is trying to adjust to this one, and has a generally care-free vibe so far. Obviously I don't know anything about his style/history but judging from his few posts here he seems pretty laid-back and enthusiastic/humorous, and I think that a baddie in a new playing environment would be more careful. I might be underestimating him, but that's what I got for now

I kind of have a similar feeling from Dunny, fwiw. He's come back from a long mafia hiatus and is jumping back into the swing of things, and again his posts have that kinda carefree feel, like he's saying what's on his mind and not worrying too much about it (see: that post where he kinda rambled and asked if it made sense). So I'm feeling okay about him for now.

I'm trying to sort out my thoughts on Russ, and maybe TH and Scotty. JJJ made a couple interesting points about Russ, but I don't necessarily see them as reasons for suspicion. Russ's responses for the most part felt fairly genuine and reasonable; the one bit I didn't like was his "I'm an economist and the world just doesn't work that way" assertion -- that felt like too much of a one-sided denial of JJJ's hypothesis.

Out of the most active posters, TH and Scotty are the ones I'm feeling the most iffy about and don't feel like I can trust as much as others. I don't really have anything concrete to point to, it's mostly just a vibe. I'm wary of TH because if he's bad he could be playing a "hide in plain sight" strategy, starting off really active from the get-go and getting comfortable in the thread, and he can be quite a scary baddie. I am tending to agree with him about some things, such as the Russ discussion atm, but that doesn't mean he's trustworthy.
Scotty on the other hand I was feeling okay about on Day 0, but I got a weird feeling from his more recent posts, particularly his vote for DF and subsequent attempt to simultaneously justify it and take it back. Plus I've never really liked the low-poster fallback vote, especially here where he's going for people who haven't even checked in -- I kind of understand wanting to get rid of someone who's posted once or twice but is really not participating, but in this case I think those people might not have even realized the game has started, and if they had they'd be posting. Voting for them is a severe case of taking the easy way out -- and I see he's already defended against that point but I still don't like it.

I do agree with Scotty on at least one thing -- I would really like to hear from INH again.

I caught up on the thread and made a post expressing my opinions and summarizing who I agreed with in the discussion and why. That's how I post. If you think it's suspicious because it's "too reasonable" I can't really help you. I typed and posted my thoughts, that's all.

Just caught up on quite a bit of discussion here. I found myself largely agreeing with JJJ, for instance his point about baddies tending to go for simpler options, but I also don't think Bass's response to that was unreasonable -- it makes sense that baddies might be wary of dueling two suspects rather than taking the riskier route. I also generally agreed with JJJ in that I think it's perfectly normal to have some town reads early on and no particular pings (I could certainly name several GTH town reads at this point and would struggle to name anyone I have any particular reason to suspect, and yes, the town reads tend to be the more active players at this point in the game). And it's too bad that MP got so upset and couldn't stick around, but I'm honestly not particularly surprised and I don't think it's alignment indicative at all.

The duel mechanic has sparked some interesting discussion and I'm not really sure where I stand on it. It definitely seems safer on the surface to choose two top suspects, but with the realization that the winner of the duel gets benefits, it gets a lot more complicated and it may be worth taking some risk to try our best to ensure a baddie doesn't get those benefits. In any case, since it's Day 1 we probably won't have strong enough reads/evidence to back up either particular plan, since even the top suspects (whoever those end up being) may well be civ.

Oddly enough, it's always been the opposite for me -- I get overwhelmed and impatient scrolling through long pages. I can't stand anything above 20ppp. I think that continuously clicking onto next pages holds my attention span and feels like I'm progressing through the thread faster.

Well I may end up going for the ladies like Sorsha suggested, particularly Eloh and Niju since they've expressed interest. One of my votes might still go to JJJ but it's not really set in stone -- I really do think he'd be great if he's civ, but that is admittedly a dangerous assumption to make. Also might consider Scotty, I think he'd be a good fit too and his Hamilton references might win me over.

One of my votes will definitely be going to JJJ, that's just a no-brainer imo. Gonna wait a bit to decide on the other, but will probably go for someone who wants it/promotes themselves.

Epi- your post says we are choosing three prefects, yet the poll says we can only choose two options.
