sabie12 wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2019 6:33 am I have suspicions on all three of the people with votes. In looking through Tony's posts a lot of his focus is on jack. He makes it a point to say "if I'm nightkilled jack is scum" and that he needs a few days to figure him out subtle ways of saying dont lynch me im town without actually saying it. When he was mafia in the past his main focus of discussion was his own teammates so if they got killed off he could be like see I'm not bad. Ive seen jack do this as well. Also his post making it a point to say how many mislynches we can have was a little sketchy. I see a lot of fair points on him and he hasnt done much to counteract these points.

Jack I've expressed my suspicion on him. There's a fair amount of back and forth discussion on him but I'm still leaning towards thinking he is mafia.

Nutella can be very difficult to read as she does often follow the waves of the thread but her response to things so far hasn't made me feel confident about her being town.

This day 1 is hard there are fair points on all three. Voting tony as I feel worst about him and his efforts thus far.

imo it's not a good look now knowing jack and tony were both town (and also knowing I myself am town) -- with three town wagons on d1 the mafia would be fine with any but try to look like they have a reason for voting one over the others

It's still not a strong read but her tone sounds genuine and solvey in a way I'm used to Michelle being, like asking lots of nitpicky questions and focusing a lot on exchanges with players she suspects. She can get kinda tunnelly which might be why you didn't like her Tony progression while I thought it was consistent with her town style.

I do not follow. Nutella did not vote for Tony, and I find it a bit of a stretch to assume that Jack was killed for the purpose of silencing his criticism of nutella. Plus, we now know that Jack would have been a perfectly viable counterwagon yesterday if nutella was bad and the mafia team wanted to save her. There wouldn’t have been a need for any of them to push to Tony (and no reason not to. My point is that I don’t see how this pair of deaths reflects poorly on nutella specifically). Is there more to this suspicion?
So you don't think the kill was a frame of me? That was my first thought, and that sabie either bought it or is promoting the narrative that I'm scum.

I don't think I've quite seen the specific thing I was referring to from Michelle, but I feel okay about her in general. Her questioning and reads look pretty typical.

Jack's first post about DF was the "friendly invitation to play." After that, Jack responded to something by saying like "why would I push for a DF mislynch like that if I were scum." My gripe was that he clearly hadn't been pushing on DF in a suspiciony way, and he stated as such, yet he had defensively implied it.

Yes, I do think Jack could still be bad given tony flipped town. It's not a very strong associative read in that direction though.

They're isolated, not really attached to or inviting in any further discussion. He just plopped some cursory mechanical chatter into the thread and moved on.

His progression on Dom also looks strange. Is strange bad? Let's see.

I think he's town. He's doing his typical thing of gathered reactions to lots of little things.
Okay thanks for your opinion.

anyone want to dissent?
I do not know what the initial stance on Dom is supposed to reflect. Do Tony and Dom have a particular history together where the former tends to suspect the latter? He then calls on nutella to offer her allegedly expert read, indicating that Tony doesn't have a particular history with Dom, but then beckons anyone else to disagree with her. In all of this, Tony has done nothing resembling independent work to read Dom. He has observed Dom's presence in the game and asked a specific player to comment on it, then he has sought dissenting opinions all across Australia.

What is your read on Dom, Tony? Does something stand out about him one way or the other? Why are you so interested in him here?
1) I wanted to try saying things that make people say things. You pass, Michelle doesn’t. You know why.

2) I tend to scumread Dom early. I’m always wrong. This game I didn’t. For the longest time Jack would always read me the opposite of what I was, and my initial thought when I read Dom and found nothing objectionable was that maybe I’m in the same place.

uh. what?

Sloonei's gripe is that you posted unnecessary thoughts. If you were doing that to get reactions or "make people say things" how on earth does his comment "pass" at all

Re: An Australian Country Murder Mystery (Day 1)

Sabie I didn't preview the poll before voting and didn't keep close track of the in thread vote tags, idk why that pings you. And TMI has nothing to do with how early in the game it is, if Tony is scum he knows who is town that's what tmi means here.

:evileye:

this is a juicy little post

I've never liked when people say things like "I can sort this person/start trying to solve the game by day X" -- if you're town it's like asking to be night killed, if you're scum it's lazy and a slightly manipulative way to wriggle out of a lynch

this doesn't really make sense as jack/tony w/w I don't think... maybe tony has tmi on jack? idk it doesn't sit right
If I am ever nightkilled Jack is scum. I am not good enough as town to be nightkilled otherwise (which is kinda purposeful but that's a topic for another day). My main town function is attacking scum Jack.

I don't see how you can see this as AI in any manner; I don't get why it doesn't make sense as me/jack w/w.
This sounds like some weird kind of wifom setup but I haven't quite figured it out

mind to share it? I can't observe myself very well.
TonyStarkPrime wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2019 1:19 am I haven’t played a game with a setup like this is a while lemme recap for myself. Three bad lynches allowed, find scum within six days.
doing the math in day 1? You are usually counting how many mislynches are needed for a scum win?

why was Jack out if character?
Yes why wouldn't I

Because he was kinda going after DFaraday and he wasn't just joking around early. I think that's NAI for reasons I explained.
You didn't say it was NAI though you said he wouldn't do it as scum?

Talk to me about Tony and why you suspect him so much.
His post about you was icky. Do you believe what he said about him being able to read you by d3? "Unless he dies first" lol
