Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 10

Wait, I was still doing Cyber kills after Night 12. Of course, killing the whole Cyber Team as immediately as possible isn't so likely, so maybe that's not so bad. I just wanted to put some numbers out there to play with.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 10

Night 10: Civ dies, second Cyber dies
Day 11: Third Cyber dies
Night 11: Two Civvies die
Day 12: Last Cyber dies

11 players left. Still have to kill The Master, two secret roles, and a couple of recruits

Night 12: Civ dies, Master hit #1
Day 13: Master hit #2
Night 13: Two Civvies die
Night 14: Civ dies, Master dies

6 players left, no Cybers, no Master. That's obviously an oversimplified version of things where recruits aren't taken into account. And unless the baddies and Indies are all in cahoots, then some of those Civvie deaths could just be Recruit deaths, or Master hits from the Cybers.

Maybe someone else can take this sweeping "analysis" and solidify some plans, maybe the Cybers do need to kill someone other than good ol' Civvies in order to have a chance. I'd like to think that the various non-Civvie factions don't know for sure who each other are, and will be as likely to kill each other as the Civs.

It did seem that way for a bit, yeah. Like I had gotten old, all my friends were dead and I was in a home surrounded by mentally-challenged tall-tale-tellers.
So, I assume that Epig is doing some math on kills and survivals and that's why the Civs are screwed? I haven't been doing the strongest analysis of the game, I've just been trying to get baddies n stuff. So, let's do some in-thread math on things.

How many players are left? How many of them are Civs? How many definite baddies, how many Secrets (two obviously), and figure out how many recruits there needs to be before the Civs cannot win?

Hi guys! I don't have much new info based on my new life as Dana. I can tell you some things in the past that won't make any difference regarding the current situation.

I do think that there's a lot of assumptions being made, a lot of worst-case-scenario beliefs in play. For instance, there could be limitations to recruitments. Maybe we could think, as a from-the-beginning perspective, about the idea of two recruiters... is that what people believe now? I think, if we worked out those numbers, it might inevitably lead toward a "The Civs are screwed" perspective. Maybe I'm wrong, I just kind of read a bunch of pages pretty fast.

Is it impossible for Bass to be the Master? Bass, why did you survive?

For the record, I don't need pm's form anyone for me to decide that maybe players are being agressive and need to cool off. Even when two players are engaged in some name calling that THEY BOTH ARE OK WITH, (and yes I've seen that happen) it still tends to create a hostile environment for other players not involved in the situation. I, as a player, feel uncomfortable posting in places that feel hostile and I work VERY hard to create a welcoming environment full of fun for ALL my players. (There's a reason I never played on sites like MafiaScum.)

Basically my point is, I ask people to tone it down as a host, if it would have made me feel uncomfortable if I were playing, NOT because someone made me do it.

Now - I have to finish getting ready for work. I wanted to make sure that was CLEARLY understood though before I left the thread again.
I missed this. I don't want to get into any ridiculous drama. Leave me out of it, ok?
Heh, yeah, that was awkward to read, given that I knew he was mistakenly remembering zeek being involved in a situation which he wasn't. I prefer a drama-free environment as well, too many people have said someone is being an idiot or whatever for thinking something, only to find out, wow, it was a baddie deception, not their real thoughts. Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 9

Chris wrote:Hosts: Does a lynch switch have to go to someone with votes?
I don't know why you think they would answer this. As far as they are concerned, there is no lynch switch in the game, because it isn't defined anywhere we can see. It's a secret thing, what makes you think they'll divulge something like that?

Frankly, I have found many of your host questions to be a bit outrageous, in that the things you are asking are unknown to you and most of us because that's how the game is, it's part of what keeps things... balanced? Instead of asking in the thread, I suggest that you ask the hosts as many questions as you like in PM. Then you won't have questions getting lost in the shuffle or answered in a way that you didn't intend. And if you find anything out that is relevant, THEN bring it to the thread and ask them. Just my opinion, I think it's bad form for you to try and get the hosts to play the game for you. You think they're going to say "Yup, the lynch switch that we may or may not have included in a secret also states that the victim must have votes! Go ahead and go after Snow Dog or MP, because, thanks to our generous secret reveal, now you know it was probably them!"

Also, the Cyberman Body is not a secret role, it's just not. No way, it just doesn't make sense to me.

If S~V~S is the recruiter, then MP and BR are both recruits. If you want to pursue this, then you need to make that part of your accusation.

Maybe you want to just be accusing S~V~S of being a recruit if you want to have a less baggage attached to it.

Also, it's worth mentioning that I also thought the Bass claim that he looked into past games and compared their playstyles to be not believable. I dunno... lynch someone bad? I'm still mostly on Team Chris, until it's proven that he's not right. He's done a lot of leg work, and his suspects are suspicious to me.

Do you know why Dana survived last night?

MovingPictures07 wrote:LC, I see you haven't finished the decoding for The Doctor. I think I have it. I'll post it here in a second, let me know if you think it's solid.
Hmmm... I see you guys haven't solved Jack Harkness yet.

He it is, let me know what you think.
Captain Jack Harkness: A time traveler and former con man from the 51st century. Unlike The Doctor, Jack is more a man of action, and prefers a direct, albeit sometimes blunt, solution to problems. Eventually becomes the leader of Torchwood, a British organization dedicated to protection the Earth from alien invasion. Given his immortality, he is extremely difficult to kill. Sometimes. *Secrets* If he survives to the end of Night 4, he gains one automatic kill protection. If he survives to the end of Night 8, he gains another, etc.
I have already solved it, and deliberately held on to it until after Night 8. I also referenced it in a post I made after night was done, in a subtle way.

Snow Dog wrote:haha...I get why MP changed his avatar now.
I don't... did he just colour-negative his old one? Is it a regeneration thing, like a new actor for The Doctor?

Chris... it's been obvious that MP is The Doctor since, like, before you started making big cases.
