You were right. Mac and zebra were using a manufactured fight to convince everyone they were not teammates. The unfunny thing is, even after Mac was lynched as a baddie, no one even needed to bring up the Distancing Dispute between them as any sort of proof that zebra wasn't a Pirate - zebra had that going for her through sheer charm and charisma.motel room wrote:Mighty fine distancing, mighty fahhhn

You could be 100% damn sure I wasn't a Cannibal, because there's no way in hell I would kill you on Night 1 of your return game. Thank you for giving me a chance, Wilgy. That's really cool of you. I really do think that lynching Snow Dog would have in no way lessened the negative impact on the Civs.DrWilgy wrote:Sorry today was a bitch. Voting Scotty. Gave him a chance.
Snow Dog was grog'd so there goes that opportunity to redeem yourself in my eyes Scotty.

You're failing to see that there are other, more sensible and sure ways that Snow Dog could have secured the win for himself if he were bad. The way things played out just make no sense if he were bad, and that includes this fucking bizarre WIFOM that you apparently believe in. Why can't you see that Wilgy??DrWilgy wrote:And that's exactly why it makes sense.
DrWilgy wrote:So here's the thing. I'm 98% sure that there are shenanigans in play. A tie will result in better things for baddies than civvies.
Scotty if you trust me, vote Snow Dog. Otherwise you will die.
I don't know... zebra gave the completely arbitrary "60% sure Scotty, 95% sure Long Con" line, so she claims to think we're both bad. I'd say that she wants to get rid of me a lot more because she's the reddest player on my rainbow list. She didn't want to just lynch Scotty and have to deal with me coming after her tomorrow.DrWilgy wrote:LC if Scotty is good, what prevented Zebra and Vomps voting him if they are bad?Long Con wrote:There's no situation that I can see here where Snow Dog could be bad. And if I didn't already think you were Civ, Wilgy, that last post is, in the parlance of our times, 'Civ as fuck'.
If Scotty is actually good, and there are two baddies left, then it's Vompatti and zebra. If there's one baddie left, then it's most likely zebra, and Vompatti just casually made a foolish mistake that could cost the Civs the game.
If that's the case, and it's by far the most likely scenario, then the best thing I can see to do is put the final two votes on zebra and cross our fingers.
Ok, so say LC gets lynched, and is a Civ, and Wilgy kills someone tonight. Wouldn't he still get lynched tomorrow?Scotty wrote:I take it as:Long Con wrote:"Vote and a half", I don't get that Civ or bad. What does he mean?Scotty wrote:Wtf are you talking about.DrWilgy wrote:Yay! Baddies win!

...unless someone can throw all their shit at Wilgy it sure sounds like he's gonna walk off with this one. I haven't voted yet because I want to make sure vomps is on board. It's either we throw our last votes on Wilgy or I put it on LC to tie it with me and hope you're bad LC. I don't know who Wilgy's partner is, if he has one.

When Wilgy and Vompatti both have voted for baddies from both teams, when those votes mattered... that is a relevant thing. All the creative arguments in the world can't take away from that. Sure, a baddie can backstab his teammate, but it's far more likely that those two were not teammates of the baddies they helped lynch. I'm not fucking majoring in creative writing here. Right?

Oh, and Cannibals is most likely.Scotty wrote: And on which team?
Oh ok. Well, I read the initial posts in the game, and I was aware that these items existed, and that people probably had some in their possession, and that they would be used when it was a very close lynch. I feared my detractors would have them, and skew the lynch against me, but I was fortunate that it was the other way around.DrWilgy wrote:Subject matter is different, but you called Item Shenanigans interacting with your potential death before it happened.

Do I vote Snow Dog, Ji-San or Scotty?![]()
I would totally get revenge on that person.
The net result is the exact same, so this is 100% about mindset, right? I think maybe we think differently. I don't see grog as a gun and banana as a first aid kit. I see them both as an item that alters the lynch by one vote... I don't have a different mindset toward a positive or negative number.DrWilgy wrote:@LC yes
If I got bananas or grog, I would use them to save myself, generally. Nuking a suspect might happen if I was really sure about it, but otherwise survival is imperative. I would use them at a point where I was in danger of being lynched, to alter the lynch so the other guy gets it. Bananas or grog do the same job in that, the most likely usage situation.DrWilgy wrote:Nope, it's a survivalist vs activist mindset. A baddie normally takes measures to save themself rather lynch others.Long Con wrote:Doesn't that have the same net result? Remove votes from one dude, or put votes on the other dude.DrWilgy wrote:There's a reason why I don't trust Snow Dog.
Bananas are more valuable to baddies than civvies.
Snow Dog. Why bananas over grog? Why not grog someone twice instead of banana lc twice?
Bananas are more valuable than that to a baddie because they know who to trust and who to save when shit goes bad.
Now I ask, would a civ get bananas and save them for themself or would a civ get grog and nuke who they found suspect?
Doesn't that have the same net result? Remove votes from one dude, or put votes on the other dude.DrWilgy wrote:There's a reason why I don't trust Snow Dog.

Not really. There's six voters, probably one or two of them are bad. And there's bananas/grog in play. If I voted zebra...Vompatti wrote:That's a strange reason when you're only the second to vote and there's still around 40 hours left for someone else to split the vote.

If game rules are followed, and talking about banana usage is prohibited, then I imagine Snow Dog will be modkilled. I hope that's not the case, he didn't use an information role and blab it or anything like that.DrWilgy wrote:Assuming game rules are followed, I'm to assume what snow dog said is a lie and should vote both him and you.

You really shouldn't feel that way. The only people above you are Wilgy and Vompatti... and they both earned their spots with tangible voting records. Who they voted for, AND the timing of those votes, are really big indicators to me. Baddies can vote for their teammates, but both these guys cast their votes for the doomed baddie when it mattered most.Snow Dog wrote:I'm a bit hurt I am so high on your voting list after all my efforts to save you.
