So, G-Man thinks the Xtacles should kill Made. It's pretty unlikely that all four will be that focused, and who knows what instructions Xander Crews might have given them last night. Probably best if they prioritize what Xander says over the Magic 8-Ball.. but hey, maybe it's the same person! :shrug2:

Yes, that is what I think. I think that if it was not a tie, then one of you three is probably Killface. I also think that if it was a tie, then everyone involved is definitely not Killface. I also think that it's not up to the host to narrow it down for us like that... he could, I suppose, but I just doubt he will.

I respectfully disagree. Maybe I am thinking wrong and my logic flawed (would not be the first time nor the last) but it is my logic so I will follow it.

I explained why.

As for timmer, he has said some slippery things, and in one case, claimed something that wasn't even true. He backed off this advance. That was still enough to give him a seat in my front row.

All new people could be bad after a randomization.

What is your opinion of Saberface? I think he's either Killfish or on that team.
I don't think there are any hard rules on how roles get dispersed in a game. Some hosts might hand-pick all the players for their roles for all I know. I always randomize, and make tweaks if necessary. Players who have a history of low participation or disappearing are less likely to get roles that I consider important, cool, or high-maintenance.

Epig, your Saberfish idea makes sense to me.

Cookie wrote:Can anybody explain to me what the deal is with people using adverbs? I don't understand why it makes someone appear bad.
I don't suspect all adverbs, but I recognize that they can be red flags.

You can "just say something" or you can "craft a sentence". Civvies aren't trying to deceive everyone, so they are free to just say things. Baddies are trying to deceive everyone, so they may tend more toward crafting sentences. "Trying to sound Civvie", is one way of putting it.

Here's how I see the Scotty adverb thing - when he says "I honestly don't think you're on Crews' team", it feels like he's crafting it. An honest man doesn't need to tell everyone how honest he is.

OK, the fact that you're explaining yourself now helps, even though you don't like my use of adverbs. I'm not giving you other people to feel suspicious about. That's your prerogative. My NOU vote was centered around the fact that you didn't lead up to it, and it seemed to come out of nowhere.
You could have voted sig or Porcupine, if you want suggestions. If you want, I could suggest some other names if you want me to vote for you.
I think you misunderstood the part of my post that I isolated. I wasn't asking you to give me other suspicions, I was asking you to find a player on Day One that voted with more justification of actual suspicion than I had for you. I voted for you because of several little pings along the way, which I spoke about when they happened.

I can't help that the vote "seemed to come out of nowhere" to you, because I did speak of each suspicion along the way (all quoted in my previous post)... that's what I used as a lead-up... things I had already said. Perhaps if I had summarized those things in my vote post you would have felt more square about it, but I was a little rushy at the time, so I just went ahead with short and sweet.

I say all of this because I don't like my suspicions being called weak, and consequently having you accuse me of being Killface for it.

Plus, I think I voted kind of earlier. If you want Killface in an outlier vote, I'd imagine he was a later voter.

The whole mechanic is hogwash and disproportionately random.

I actually would like to see it. But also explained simply like you are talking to a child or as in my case an old lady.
Ok, here goes.

If I were Xander Crews, this would be my first message, sent tonight:

"Hello Xtacles. First thing's first, we have to identify ourselves to each other. After the Night is done and you get this message, you will hide a code in your second post of Day 2. Your 6th word of that post will begin with an 'f', your fourteenth word will begin with a 'g', and your sixteenth word will begin with an 'h'. Look for each others' posts, identify each other as I identify you.

From that point on, we must coordinate your nightly PMs. You must pay attention to each others' signals, or this cannot work. You will signal your target using a code. The last word of your post will be a number, which will indicate which vote you are in the order. Obviously, this word will be "one", "two", "three", "four", "five", or "six". It will be followed by a Smiley to indicate which player you will be targeting.

1. Ika - :meany:
2. S~V~S - :faint:

19. Cookie - :workit:
20. Made - :confused2:
21. Movingpictures07 -
22. Saberfish -

If you posted twice before reading this PM, then you can still pull the escape chute to identify yourself with the phrase, "I think I need to light a candle" at some point during the phase. You will know who I am when I say "One more time around the mulberry bush, eh boys?"

Let's stay focused and do this by the numbers. I would like to suggest the first three targets to protect me every night - that, combined with helping me not get lynched by day, makes me very hard to kill.

The next three targets could protect one of you, or just use two to roleblock someone.

If the first targeter targets someone who is not me or you, then it is a signal that they wish to kill that person. Then we can kill and then roleblock. That's cool too.

I'll check in every night and talk about how things are going. Good luck out there!"

Something like that. Maybe I'd go over it a few more times with a fine-toothed comb in order to be prepared for whatever eventuality.

No, I wasn't claiming Xtacle with that "we". That "we" was in reference to "we as a group of players".

If my plan goes through, then each Xtacle and Xander will know the identity of each other one, and will know if an Xtacle dies. The Xtacle strategy would then be adjusted for that new circumstance.

As for thinking through these strategies, the problem you are having is a lack of vision. This can be done, and it can be well-coordinated and executed by Xander. We can make him invincible. Unlynchable, unkillable.

I dont really see how misunderstanding the roles could be indicative of her alignment. Are you thinking from an angle like baddies don't have to care as much as Civvies about understanding all the roles maybe?
I misunderstood Xanders messages, I was thinking any civs could get that info. Even understanding it, I am still leery of Xander sharing his identity. Although I think the risk is fairly minimal since the roles are not very vague as llama roles can sometimes be. I am sure Timmer has seen me make similar careless errors regardless of alignment, so  Timmer. The last game we played together I went the whole game having misread my own role Lol.

I have read the Epi MP convo a few times. If I have learned anything it is that blurting out my opinion on either can be a mistake for me so I want to reserve judgment at this time.

My phone corrected Xander to Cancer yikes. And the color tags are really hard to read on the light theme, so I may have to switch to dark for this game.
Ok, no more colour tags.

And you're wrong, Xander should absolutely let the Xtacles know who he is. For starters, we won't be mislynching him then. And if he can get the Xtacles coordinated, they could actually protect him at night, every night! In addition to that, so long as enough live, they could coordinate a roleblock every night as well, which could end up finding baddies when kills fail.

Stan is a guy who's going to automatically start killing some relatively important Civs every day on Day 2.

Stan - Runs the Crews company when Xander is too lazy to do it, but has no real allegiance except to himself. Briefly masqueraded as Awesome-X. While he is alive, one of the Xtacles’ heads will explode every day.

I'm a little pinged by the fact that SVS apparently misread the roles, since her reply to Long Con about the Xtacles isn't accurate. But I suppose that's a ping that doesn't really indicate an alignment so I'm not sure where to go with it. I'll tune in more tomorrow night. Game on!
I dont really see how misunderstanding the roles could be indicative of her alignment. Are you thinking from an angle like baddies don't have to care as much as Civvies about understanding all the roles maybe?

 Who said what?

I won't vote Epig because of reasons I have stated in other games, and he has qualified for an exemption by my current standards.

I was that somebody. So now MM is free to do some real analysis and find a real reason to vote, and you are off the hook.

No, I mean you are totally OFF THE HOOK!

Epig won't get my vote today.

Xander Crews sends a message every night to six other Civs, so that's one of our biggest advantages. It would probably be best for him to 1) tell them all who he is, and 2) give a secret way for all the Xtacles to tell him, and each other, who they are. Like, make the 12th word of your second post of the day start with the letter F, or something equally hard to figure out. Then we will have a very solid Super Civvie team to base the whole game around. He could also set up a secret communication system wherein we can set up Xtacles coordination as well.
But wouldn't that lead to the baddies potentially finding this info out too, due to the Sisters Of Chaos thing? One of them is a baddie. I would think that wholesale info sharing might be something to approach with caution. My experience with search roles is that it's pretty hit or miss. They may never find each other, but I am not sure I want all that info potentially travelling to the baddies. I think Xander should be more circumspect about his own identity.
Grace isn't an Xtacle. None of the Xtacles can join the Sisterhood.

Are you implying you're not on Crews' team?

Re: Frisky Dingo [DAY 0]

Does anyone have info on this poll? I'd wager DharmaHelper does. :haha:

Anywho... I'll vote for Trent because he's only almost equally attractive as Brent.

So, Team Crews only needs to kill team Killface, but it seems that we should also hope for Stan to die, because Xtacles' heads exploding is not exactly a good thing. IT says in his role that they will explode "every day"... I assume that doesn't include Day 0. :shrug2:

Quick rainbow list on Brent and Trent:
Brent
Trent

Clearly Trent is the way to go.

*votes Trent*
