Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day? 9)

Not really surprising, but he wasn't an inactive baddie like we hoped. Maybe MR didn't mod kill him because he didn't really matter to anyone. It leaves the question of Rabbit.

Timmer was allegedly silenced. On one hand, it seems like an obvious baddie tactic, but on the other, maybe that's what the real baddies wanted us to think he was doing..or what he wanted us to think. Total WIFOM all around.

I get the feeling we're missing something and that despite everything pointing to Timmer, it's too easy.
Am I expecting too much of baddies here?

Yeah, I believe it was you that taught me how to buddy up to people back in the day on LP in the Supermarket Game, maybe, or Heroes.
SVS, if it weren't a number vote, but a regular vote, who would you vote for?
Like I said, I think there is a recruiting element in this game. If anyone is recruited, I think it could be Bass. That's a big if, though. If I was recruiting, I would have recruited Bass based on his probably role, not a personal preference.

TBH, I don't think any of you are on *my* team. I am so paranoid, schizophrenia is like right around the corner. There are a few people I have down as possible detectives, and while they don't need me alive to win, I don't particularly view them as "enemies". I would rather not lynch them. Or point to them. So I am going to say I doubt Sophie is a detective, I don't think she is Old Rogue. So her most likely.
It's funny... Llama's opinion of Sophie made her the MOST likely to be a Detective to me. Other than that I don't have much of a read on her.
That was my impression as well

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day? 9)

LC, thanks for answering. I needed to check it out, unturn every stone. Your answer made me feel better. Still looking for the other baddie/baddies and wondering whether TH would be that obvious. I always think of him as someone who plays somewhat similar to me, and therefore can't see him defending a baddie strongly like that. But maybe MM is right and he was using the map. I don't know. I will say that Timmer is playing a low profile game since he's been accused in the later stages. I can't see civvie Timmer being this clueless about things. He started out so strongly. Maybe he's kind of given up and is doing the minimum to not go down shamefully.

llinki: I don't know. Just looked at the roles and was thinking that if this is a day, the whether wizard can stop it. I don't think he used the day stopper, just the night, if he indeed has both

Call me stubborn, but I disagree. I don't know if LC intended it or not, but this plan is a sure way to steer the lynch away from the New Rogues.

Linki: I really don't know. I just think he was using his Map BTSC as a cover to defend a teammate.
I've been wondering about LC for a while. On the surface, he's probably been the most helpful player in this game and most involved. But he voted for TH when it was pretty clear he was going down. The most interesting thing is, that he's suspicious of SVS, yet he voted for Timmer when SVS was the first to vote for him. Did he not think they were working together? Timmer is definitely acting way more fishy, and I think I wrote not long ago, that LC is the one I trust most, but I wonder if he's just fooling us like that. Not one person has voiced any suspicions of him. Isn't that unusual?
I think I need to go and see if TH and LC talk about each other

I'm voting for Number 10.
It would be "that easier" if everyone would just suggest 3 numbers. It's not foolproof by any stretch, but look where we're starting from. What else CAN we do - make a case against the number 4? :haha:
I think giving a 3 number range is better because you don't have an agenda with other numbers. For example, Bass gave 2 out of the numbers you did, and added one. This could be that he added 2 that weren't his own and one that was, thus hinting at his number without actually saying anything. But I could also see it as a baddie thing trying to manipulate what we think about each player

I think I can check my internet history when I get home and find it.

Otherwise, I know Turnip Head had 6 votes, Bass voted for timmer, timmer voted for Devin, and SVS and TH voted for Sophie.
Okay, thanks. That would be great. What I'm trying to think is, if they were all trying to save TH, why vote the way they did. I was just wondering about the order of the votes, and who joined the TH vote last or before last.
I am wondering about Bass. Though I thought we established his role, I wonder about recruitments and stuff.
As for Timmer and SVS, their responses after the lynch story seemed fake, but I think this could be too easy. I doubt all the baddies are going to be so obvious about working together.

I'll be back later. If you can post the poll, I'd appreciate it.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 8)

I'm voting TH.

I guess I didn't want to see it, but if someone kept voting me and insisting I'm the baddie, I would start questioning that person. TH and Timmer keep changing their minds on things, which is okay, but they thought MM was worth a vote last day. He keeps going after them. Why are they not voting him this day again? I think it's because they're trying to find a player other people might follow. And Devin seems vague enough to be that target.

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 8)

I'm sorry I haven't been here much. Honestly, I kind of lost interest in the game. I feel I seriously need a break from mafia, and I'm not taking a stand, because I really don't want to be responsible for losing this game for the good guys. I find myself believing everyone, or rather being fooled by everyone, and it feels like I'm watching a tennis match from the outside.
I don't know how to get myself involved again. I'm sorry I'm not helping.
As it stands now, MM seems genuine, and by default, I'm going to have to trust Sophie.

I still feel I can trust LC though I have my doubts.

No idea what to do with BR and Devin. They are flying under the radar, but so am I.

Then, there are TH, Timmer and SVS. I keep wondering whether Timmer knows SVS' role and is trying to look good in her eyes, or if they are working together. I'm not even sure he's bad, because at times, he comes off genuine. The same goes for TH. I doubt they would be defending each other if they were working together. I don't think that's TH's MO. I think he'd be distancing, but what do I know.

Bottom line, no idea, and I'm sorry. It doesn't make me look better, but that's how it is.

Why did you vote for the marmot?
To see how you and others reacted to it. And while I do find your defense sincere, I don't get why votes swung Timmer's way as a response. LC said it would suck to get lynched like that so he switched to Timmer. I don't see how that's any different from lynching MM because LC didn't give reasons for switching to Timmer.

As for me and Timmer defending each other, Timmer hasn't really defended me at all until his deduction that I'm not the Top. I don't know why my defense of Timmer concerns you then. He's the player I currently feel is least likely to be a New Rogue ,and New Rogues are who I'm trying to lynch.

FZ I'm not trying to discredit Llama's opinions. I'm trying to figure out why you are treating his opinions as if they are backed by info. From what I know of your play in Death Note and Llama's play in the same game, I was expecting you to be reacting to Llama differently.
llama's personal opinions mean nothing to me. He has the same likelihood of finding baddies as any of us, based only on opinions. But if I understood correctly, he has connections to someone who does have information, and since that person can't come forth, I rely on what llama has to say for that info.

Maybe we're reading it all wrong. Maybe the detectives don't have BTSC at all. Llama's been a different llama ever since he came back. He's not really doing much to help. I don't get it.

Both TH and MM are giving me good vibes when I talk to them. So either I'm a complete fool, which is highly likely, or we need to be looking elsewhere.

What other player are you tempted to vote for otherwise?
I'm literally torn between the two sides that are forming here. I feel like I've lost touch with this game, and I'm just skating by, being influenced by anyone who says anything. This saddens me, because I don't like playing like that, but it is what it is.
Again, the thing that's making me not vote you, is llama vouching for you. I wonder now, if TH was trying to discredit llama when he asked why I'm giving his opinions so much credit

Why do you think MM and Sophie are bad?

You mean new rogues?
If so, why? They are making sense. Especially BR

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought that the baddies inherited Grodd's killing because their kill was not used due to the killer not playing. That's why I thought it was Sonjey, and I thought now they got another way to kill. I guess I got it wrong.

By the way, since the first page is not updated, can anyone remind me who is still alive?

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)

At this point, the only person I feel I can fully trust is LC. All others are still questionable to me.

I agree with LC that this game has slowed down substantially, and I've lost focus as well.
I'm not sure who's against who any more.

@Host, can you update the living and dead status on the first page please?

I want to trust both TImmer and TH. I can understand why TH thinks Timmer wouldn't out Bass 1 if he's a new rogue. It makes no sense even if the new Rogues didn't have BTSC. He made a very reasonable assumption and that would hurt the new Rogues in the long run. Maybe he didn't feel the uncomfortable feelings of voting a team mate, because he could always tell Bass, he was just throwing out accusations and didn't think it would stick. But I doubt it's likely he'd do that.
That's why I trust Timmer, and I understand why TH would as well. Whether TH can be trusted is another question. The thing that's bothering me about TH is that he's not coming up with any theories like I expect him to. But I'm getting a genuine vibe from him. Still not sure.

Timmer keeps vouching for SVS. If I can trust Timmer, should I trust what he's saying? At the moment, I trust him, so I'm extending that to SVS.

Bass started out suspicious of TImmer but then came in later and said he wasn't suspicious of him any more. I wonder if he found something at night, or did he think that would make him look better?

BR this game, is not the BR I'm used to seeing, but no one really suspects her, and she was silenced. I guess I'm missing something.

Sofie's last post seemed like trying to save MM. But if he's really not bad, that would make her good. I guess that depends on MM' role.

I've never seen MM lynched, so I have no idea how it usually ends, but I don't get his playing style either. He's a complete riddle to me. I don't find him helpful either.

Then, there's Sonjey. Could he have been a missing killer and that's why they inherited Grod's kill?

Did I miss anyone?

Because he came in after Dream had already more than a few votes, and said it was Dream was the right way to go. After he said before, he doesn't like info dumping, or something in those lines, I thought that he decided to finally put his own thoughts and vote in a way that won't influence us. But I forgot that he couldn't have had that information that night anyway.
But that's kind of my point... Llama doesn't want us to be influenced by his vote, but you used that as a reason to be influenced by his vote. Just seemed off to me, given the specific players that are involved.

What do you mean by the underlined bit?
I thought that he allowed himself to vote something he thought was good only when there were enough votes on her already, thus he wouldn't be actively info dumping

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 7)

Sorry for not being around. A good friend killed himself (jumping off a building) and I'm devastated. Trying to do my best to catch up, but I'm going to the funeral today and I don't know how much I'll feel like playing today or tomorrow

I read the night story and thought maybe what happened could be related to this:

The Trickster – The most inexperienced Rogue and a notorious prank enthusiast. Leaves a “trap” on one player during even nights. If that player is ~ar~e~e~, the a~~~~~ ~s re~erse~.

I don't know if someone already solved this, but I read it as: "If that player is targeted, the action is reversed".

So it made me wonder whether the Trickster trapped the victim of the killer tonight, and the action was reversed. If that's what happened, then it means Daisy could have been a killer

Re: The Flash: Battle for the Gem Cities (Day 6)

^Maybe Dream, for the fact that I still think the killer was one of the replacements and the fact llama said to vote there. But on the other hand, she seemed really annoyed with the bandwagon, which is why I was trying to figure out what's going on, thinking there was more time.
I don't think LC is her buddy, nor SVS, so it makes me wonder if she is the baddie if everyone else voted for her. I hope she is

Bass_the_Clever wrote:Two reasons which aren't amazing reasons.
1. I agree that I think the killer could have been someone not playing earlier this game and got replaced.
2. The person I would like to lynch won't get enough votes this lynch so I'm not ready to stir that pot up yet.

1. Why not Devine for example?
2. Who's the other person? Is it Timmer? How is stirring the pot going to help us?
