it would make more sense if they were scumreading my predecessor wilgy
i iso'd marmot and saw no mention of wilgy (unless they said woogers or something)
marmot saying "This slot should be burned with fire after I die." to tutuu that is supposedly a null read is just super uncharacteristic of marmot of what i know of town marmot

Re: [DAY 2] Literal WWerecreatures Invade Syndicate Zoo: An SDN Crossover Game
Actually I looked at tutuu's ISO and think she's being townie. She does have 74 posts, so she's clearly caught up in the game to some extent, so the fact that she's sheeping a vote on me is a little weird, but her ISO does look like she's working toward a worldview that does contain Sloonei and Mac as top townreads, so it isn't that weird.
I think my entire wagon is town with the possible exception of Santy. If that's the case, I would gander that falcon is also town, and the wolves are not doing much, or they're off voting smaller wagons atp, otherwise wolves would probably focus more attention on my slot.

I didn't want to pry into personal lives, so I chose to accept it. I just assumed that dya knew something outside of the thread (not necessarily in scumchat, just from somewhere else) that made them say that.S~V~S wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 11:42 am@Marmot , how would this make you think that?
Marmot saidAre dyachei and Creature related that this remark would make you back off? I'm asking in seriousness, not being facetious.I'm probably going to move my vote off of Creature because it seems his lack of activity and commitment is out of his control atm.
That said, it is Day 2, and Creature hasn't done much that the leash he was given (at least by me, I dunno how many others voted the same way).

Nate - I've found some of his behaviors wolfy, but I'm not committed on that read, because based on his personality, I'm not sure the things I'm noticing are AI.
Dennis - I thought he as town on Day 1, haven't reconsidered since
falcon - slightly scummy

What Marmot said:
He voted for Creature fairly early, then switched to Scotty with a weak justification:
How does he know that it's out of his control?? How?? TMI.Marmot wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:07 pm I'm probably going to move my vote off of Creature because it seems his lack of activity and commitment is out of his control atm.
I wish there was a wagon other than Scotty to offer more choices. Scotty is a fine choice given his contributions thus far, but I'm slightly put off by the fact that he has technically made townie posts. If anyone wants to give me a name to ISO, I will.
They're both bad.
Since they're tied at this time, I'm putting one on Marmot, since he didn't specifically answer me when asked about this.
[VOTE: Marmot] aubergine
It wasn't a post from Creature, it was a post from dya that I just linked in my response to Mac.
Also, I didn't respond to your post because I haven't been in the thread since you asked that question.

Scotty 8 - (Marmot, dyachei/lawpy, mightyrunner7, SportPonies, Neon, Creature, Sloonei, potentialsheltervet)
Creature 5 - (Mayo the Mayo, Kate, S~V~S, falcon45ca, DrWilgy)
Dennis 3 - (Animal Midwife, Scotty, NateTheLesser)
SportPonies 3 - (Seanzie, miranda920, pyxxy)
Falcon45ca 2 - (Zenge, santygrass)
pyxxy 1 - (genny)
Marmot 1 - (Dennis)
Did not vote 1 - (SARdoghandler)
Notes:
The mafia shooting Animal Midwife on night 1 after Scotty goes over, quite blatantly spews the Dennis wagon. Almost too blatantly. I am very confident there is a strong difference check between Dennis and NateTheLesser at this time.
I personally view Creature as a probable hit. He is not his towny self and has no enthusiasm. He keeps talking about his lack of energy/engagement which I have seen him do as mafia because he genuinely does not enjoy wolfing. I think Creature does need to be resolved to help town make heads or tails of the gamestate. I also don't trust Marmot at all and observed Marmot defend Creature during day 1 in a really questionable way. His reasons for ending up voting Scotty felt like he was trying to reach for justifications to be voting town, if Creature was town he wouldn't need to make said justifications.
Obviously if Creature and Dennis are both mafia, the Scotty wagon is very likely to contain multiple mafia. I'd be particularly interested in those who are more familiar with Scotty coming under fire, especially because after reading his ISO he felt like very basic Scotty, who is an A++ town player especially mid to late game. I would expect the likes of Marmot, Neon and Sloonei to be disinclined from killing Scotty day 1 over Creature when comparing their two isos.
@Sloonei, @Neon, @Marmot why did you end up voting out Scotty over Creature?
dya made this post and so I shrugged my shoulders and voted Scotty.

Sloonei wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2023 3:01 pm I can read some of Marmot's posts from End of Day 1 as a mafia member looking for a place to park their vote, rather than a town player making an earnest effort to solve. Here are a couple about Scotty in particular that stood out:
The first one feels more convoluted than it needs to be, as though Marmot's seeking out his own justification to place a vote on a wagon that's already taking off. The second is full of language that suggests Marmot has no faith in the Scotty wagon, but is resigned to joining it anyway. I also feel like his justification for choosing Scotty over Creature is weak.Spoiler: show

I said thunderdome us and I mean it. Falcon is a wolf.
He does seem to ask more questions here, whereas he spent more time in that game offering his specific takes. He is still doing that to some extent here, but his spending time asking questions without much followup is what gives me the most pause.
But falcon is a tough player to read and is mischopped often, so I often ignore my own read on him early in the game for that reason.
I thought I was a fairly easy player to read, whatchoo talkin' 'bout?
You're hedging my slot here pretty hard, and deferring to another to inform your read, tho you've got plenty of playing experience with me such that you should certainly be able to make your own. Why?

Reading through Nate's notes that were posted overnight. There's a lot of noncomittal takes, but they are notes so that's to be expected. Also the notes seem fairly consistent in that it does look like he developed them over the course of the day and didn't just go back and make them up last night.
I'm feeling less certain on him now.

I think they're talking about Scotty's final post.Mayo the Mayo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:29 pmThank you. So if someone has a tldr of the current lead wagons that would be awesome
Otherwise I'll probably just make a bad impulsive decision based on whoever's around right now and sets off the peter tingle
Scotty had a moderate amount of activity, but the wolfhunt appeared to lack feeling. The reason for the vote on Dennis didn't make sense, and the outgoing message felt wolfy
Creature has been much less active that one would expect, and hasn't made any real contributions to wolfhunting
Doing an ISO on both should be helpful to you

Sort of.SportPonies wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:24 pmDid you have a problem with the stagnant wagons?Marmot wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:23 pmThe wagons hadn't moved in the last 20-30 minutes, so I'm making some movement.
Also ties are bad because they lead to rands. I believe players should take it upon themselves to choose who is eliminated rather than let it fall to a coin flip.
I do think vote movement is an excellent thing, especially on Day 1 when we have tons of time afterward to look back on it and analyze. Getting lots of good talking points and interactions is very beneficial this early, and stagnant wagons can inhibit that somewhat.
Also, I don't really want to chop Creature atp.

You seemed tunneled on one idea, which to me didn't seem inherently scummy, so I'm asking why it can't be the alternative possibility?pyxxy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:21 pmWhy does doing this have to make the doer townie?Marmot wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:09 pmWhy can't this be a thing that a townie does?pyxxy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 9:07 pmI'm posting as I scroll so apologies if this isn't your most updated post/opinion.dyachei wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 8:54 pmim still not over thatNateTheLesser wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 8:52 pmThis is more pockety than what dya said![]()
dya hears reason sporty is being pushed, reads entire iso, doesn't agree with the call it was defensive, therefore doesnt understand the push
pyxxy: dya is pocketing sporty
My focus is on why you decided that Sporty was being sussed for being defensive.
And how quickly you decided that, given that was the argument, you could dismiss it and townread Sporty, who was facing a little pressure at 3 votes and is/was the third wagon behind the two 7s.
Sporty would naturally be grateful to be found as town (if town), subconsciously or not, especially by someone who is returning to the thread and plausibly could vote for her.
This seems like pocketing, TMI, buddying up to a townie. Whatever you want to call it, that's how I feel about it.
Again, sorry if I'm just unfamiliar with you. I can be wrongjust how I see it.
lol gottem sorry I just felt like your question was meh as in I didn't understand your intention behind it
if you're trying to help guide me elsewhere, then it's appreciated
I think it's reasonable for a player to walk into a thread, look at a wagon, and think it's townie. I don't necessarily know if dya does this, but it's a thing people do.

I think Santy on tone looks a little townier than Scotty, but also possibly partnered.

I wish santy had more to say to this to Scotty today, because this single interaction with no followup looks very partnerish in the event Scotty flips wolf.santygrass wrote: ↑Wed Apr 19, 2023 12:36 am
Also, I read all of this and understood nothing.
Is this a very crafty and unnecesarly complex way of posting fluff?

I wish there was a wagon other than Scotty to offer more choices. Scotty is a fine choice given his contributions thus far, but I'm slightly put off by the fact that he has technically made townie posts. If anyone wants to give me a name to ISO, I will.
