I did not start with any protections. Which was why I was laying low. Then I got my first one on NIGHT 4. Then on night 6, I was double targeted for NKs. Strax's failed because I am civ. The Cyber kill failed because it was passed night 4.

Then on night 8, I was worried because NIGHT EIGHT DIDN'T HAPPEN YET.

And that's why I won't be lynched today.

But the Cybermen tried to kill him the same night as Strax, so he wouldn't have had another NK protection until now.
If he is civ, Strax's kill would have failed, leaving Chris with only one kill attempt to survive.

But like I said, I leave it up to me being one role or the other.

When I said that about Sarah, it's true. If she was NKed, we'd never know it. She doesn't AUTOMATICALLY survive like other roles.
But Strax has attempted 4 kills thus far. 3 of them have failed, one succeeded.

Elo survived the first one on Night 2
Made is killed on Night 4
You survived the second on Night 6
DFaraday survives the third on Night 8

Here's his role.
Strax wrote:Strax: A member of the Sontaran warrior race. You were demoted to a nurse, forced to heal the injured as punishment for being defeated by The Doctor. You often assist Madame Vastra and Jenny Flint, but they prevent you from acting on your more violent outbursts and ideas. For now though, you are allowed to act out on some of those urges because you are the civ ninja. Given your sometimes wonky luck, your first 3 targets against civilians will fail. However, you will not be notified of the reason why those kills failed.
So that means that his kill on you failed because either you are civ OR you have NK protection and you are a baddie. If you are a civ, you must be Jack or Sarah. You've suggested that you are not Sarah because she may be dead. If you are a civ, then the kill wouldn't happen, leaving you with one (at the time) NK surival. well, I was either worried about the other 50 percent, or that we did not get through night 8 yet.
If you were a civ, Strax's kill would have failed, leaving you one more NK survival than you claim. If MP's theory is correct, there is much less reason to believe you are Jack Harness Chris. I think there is a hole in your story here. Especially because
Chris wrote:Also, there's no guaruntee that Sarah is alive.

Linki: more of the same
Lol, I'll address this, but then I need to go, and I'm ignoring your posts, because I have no reason to trust you (nor does anyone else).

Forgot Chris is a civ? Are you fucking kidding me (excuse my language, but WTF)? I've said repeatedly many times I believe he's either Jack or The Master, and I have never said I 100% believe him to be a civvie. Where the hell did you get that?
Your reactions to my statements are VASTLY different to your reactions to Chris' statements. Is it because of your reads? (No) Is it because of public opinion? (probably) I dunno, but I find this odd. You accused him of lying, and immediately backed off from the statement. No one is really suspicious of him. You accused me of lying before I was lynched, and continuously pushed and pushed and pushed it. Oh hey, there was speculation there too. Btw, I wasn't even lying. :evileye:

*Disclaimer* This next passage contains some hypothetical situations. Some of this may or may not be true, but may be based on real situations. This is not all real fact. And this leads to my other point. You say that I am not sincere, and I'm going to call that BS. Let's think about the Dana situation for a moment from a couple different vantages. If I was a Dalek (which we can agree that I'm not), then my belief that Dana was a Dalek is of course going to be insincere, and ultimately a pointless case even if she was lynched. Next vantage, if I am ANY (we'll disregard unknown secret roles for now) other alignment, then I want the Daleks eliminated. Read the roles. Now let's look at if I'm aligned to an unknown party. Either I'm going to be civvie aligned or self(indy)aligned. Either way, there is not going to be a single case where I need the Daleks alive to win. If you care to try to prove me wrong. Offer a counter-example.

That is the wrong assumption to make. First off, there are two other secret roles. Nobody (publicly) knows who they are, where they are aligned, or what they can do.

I wouldn't be surprised if you and SVS have BTSC. There's a couple other players I wouldn't doubt having it with you either. What I wonder is if that is a pro-town or anti-town team.

Hedgie, if you're the recruiter, I'm never playing in any mafia game you ever play in again.

That being said, MM was basically a vanilla role at that point, but the whole thing for a recruiter to win the game is numbers. It's all about numbers.

And there's no way a recruiter would ever lynch their recruit for the cred.

And before that point... no one even knew a fucking thing about the recruiter.
That is a baddie move Chris. Throwing a teammate under the bus. Just because you would not do such a thing, does not mean it would never be done.

And there's that other important part you mentioned. If I was recruited by this secret recruiter, then I am just a vanilla civ. Why not throw me under the bus.

And no I'm not trying to prove whether or not Hedgeowl is the recruiter, but I am saying that she would have to be a baddie recruiter to make that move IFIFIFIF she is such a role. I'm being a little intentionally obtuse, but I'm trying to help you understand.

It read to me that Strax's kill failed, not that DF survived it.

There are secrets am stuff I'm sure. You were rezzed after all. But yes, zeek and I are not connected on this rezz, that I'm aware of.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 9

zeek wrote:MM, you're totally getting lynched soon so you might as well tell us whether you were recruited by the Master or the secret recruiter. My thoughts on the recruiter role are that its possibly either the Great Intelligence or Davros. Both of those are big characters that haven't been included so it'd make sense one of them was the recruiter.
1) I'm pretty sure that's info-dropping.

2) You probably wouldn't believe me anyway. I'll try to let my play do the talking instead.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 9

I also had many of the roles figured out before you all so rudely lynched me.

Anyway, I'm going to bed now. Goodnight. :offtobed:

bea wrote:OK my sweet pets. I had a hella crap day at work. I'm just getting in and am just now caught up. I'll try to prep as much as I can so that I can make this happen as fast as possible. It's much harder to do things quickly IMO with the vote switching - especially with close voting. But I know this has been a particularly passionate day and many peeps are waiting to go to bed. So I will be as prompt as I can.

Because I love you my sweet players. :srsnod: :noble:

Cheers from the west coast.

Can you rezz me too? We'll make so many posts in this thread, we could build a fence around Canada. :haha: :derp:

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 8

birdwithteeth11 wrote:I'm going to try and do this without referring to any one person specifically. Because I'm genuinely hacked now.

The main point of this game is to have FUN! I'm starting to see more asshattery (even after bea stepped in and said something). The name-calling and trash-talking stops NOW. The next person I see say anything negative about a person or launch a personal attack instead of playing the game is getting modkilled. If you are frustrated, you have two options:

1) Walk away and calm down.

2) You have people you may reach out to and PM. You have myself, bea, and llama who is modding this game. We have tough skin and if you're frustrated about something, we're more than willing to listen to you vent.

I'm sorry I have to make an announcement like this, but as of now, we're turning over a new leaf and starting fresh. So please enjoy the game for what it is and make it nice for everyone else. Thank you.
Thanks BWT, let's move back towards a fun game, k peeps?
