That thought did kind of cross my mind even though I did agree at first. Now I don't know he hasn't been around. I picked a weird game for my first one back in awhile haha.

This game's weird, but hey, at least it's chill so far and not high-posting like some tend to be.

I guess I'm not that surprised that Day 1 is quiet. Odds are we hit town with our vote today, so there's not much incentive to work to make that happen.


But looking ahead to future days, it would be useful to have content to look back on, even if it's next to worthless to us now.

I barely even know what the strategy or win conditions are here...I think I would like to be smited though-- does it even matter who we kill?

Ideally we kill town.

If we kill mafia on Day 1 or 2, then we decrease the amount of interactions that mafia players are forced to participate in with each other, and put them closer to their win con. It doesn't move town further from theirs necessarily, but it puts town at risk of doing so.

tl;dr chopping town is always better than chopping mafia

Addendum: Chop Sloonei Day 1.

We will make it to Day 6 with 5 people alive (after 5 chops and 5 NKs). There is the possibility that mafia wins before Day 6, but I'll ignore that scenario for now, since that's not what town is playing for.


Additionally, according to the extra mafia mechanic, there will be a single mafia member left in that group of 5. So our goal is to eliminate two town on Days 6 and 7 in order to win (after first making it to Day 6).


I don't think we have to be too picky Day 1 and 2. Odds are in our favor of chopping town, and even if we miss once, the game balances it out by not allowing mafia to take one of their own Night 3. It's if we miss twice that things start getting hairy.

But I'd encourage people to talk to give everyone who makes F5 more info to work with and the game doesn't turn into a rand.

My guess was that this would play out just like normal mafia, except the towniest people will get the votes, not the scummiest people.
