Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 4
This reminds me of Harry Potter.Epignosis wrote:Let's assume your theory, that I am now a robot (well...I was a robot but never mind ) is true, and that I had info on Enrique and Made. This means that in three nights, the robot role checker would have had to have checked BOTH Made and Enrique, the latter of whom Ep1 happened to openly suspect- hard. My domain is language, not mathematics, but accounting for deaths and the fact that they wouldn't check their own crew, I estimate that the chance of both checks happening by Day 4 is 4.2%. Of course, that doesn't account for role blocks or the panoply of human interaction over the Internet. Finally, your theory means that I would have had to be willing to tip my hand to accomplish something that would happen without my intervention.
I was the civ role checker, and I caught 3 of the 4 baddies in the first 4 nights. I tipped my hand for the first one. She was lynched, I was NK'd that night (as expected), but was rezzed later. I think you know the rest of the story.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 6
I'm not trying to prove your baddieness at the moment MP. I've been trying to make a defense for myself and state my reasoning for Dana being bad. I'm not trying to lynch several players at one time, because we can only lynch one today.MovingPictures07 wrote:I'm "pretty convinced" is not an argument. It's a statement of fact.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Are you pretty convinced or totally convinced or kinda convinced or what?MovingPictures07 wrote:That's why I said "and MM is a Dalek", adding it as an assumption.
At this point, I'm pretty convinced he's bad. Epig 2.0 could be too, but I'd rather see MM flip.
These are the same silly arguments you are making against me.
These are arguments as to why I believe you're bad:
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 053#p90053
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 840#p89840
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 786#p89786
Just to name a few.
They state reasons. Your only reasons for suspecting I'm bad lie in Enrique's post suddenly accusing me before his death, after defending me all game. You lump me with Dana, whom you had prior suspicions of, then dropped, then conveniently brought back up.
Consequently, if Dana is a Dalek and the 4th teammate is inactive, that flies completely in the face with your ONLY argument as to why I'm bad. Seriously, you have not given any other actual tangible argument for me being bad.
Therefore, I have absolute reason to believe your feelings against me are fabricated.
Linki: thanks, bea! On that note, going to see what else I can accomplish tonight, see you folks later!
But your accusations are running rampant MP. Why do you ask me to be more open-minded, but immediately jump on anything that is even remotely different than one particular story you have stuck in your head. It's quite hypocritical of you. But if you want to stick with your tunnel-vision, fine, but don't pretend like it's not there.

I don't think Enrique's vote was an obvious save attempt at the time, but on reflection, it seems like it was his idea to "save" Made and leave his lynch-stopping power for another day.
I don't think you're realizing that Enrique could not just do a 180 on his opinion of me even if it was the better choice at the time. Before I read that let me explain. Those are two different things.MovingPictures07 wrote:MM, here is my major defense of Dana, but I have had other posts that have defended her: viewtopic.php?f=60&t=445&p=89662#p89662
And you say you don't want to get "caught up" with this sort of thing and that I wouldn't back out now, but here's the thing: I gave you plenty of time to defend your actions, and you have not offered any adequate explanations at all for the main tenants of my suspicion against you. I've defended myself against my accusers plenty, including you, yet you don't consider alternative explanations. And you're going to try to argue that I wouldn't back out? I'm baddie hunting. I've backed off cases where defenders have logically torn apart my arguments against them and reconsidered PLENTY of times this game, so much in fact that it was a major point of suspicion against me. So... your point is invalid. If you had what I found to be adequate explanations for your behavior, I'd believe you. And I didn't start out "99%" certain, but as you've continued to post and I've analyzed your behavior, I'm sorry, but so many things you've done just do not compute if you are a civvie this game.
I did not want to get caught up in getting heated and throwing insults back and forth at each other. It seemed like our conversation might have been heading that direction and I wanted to stop it.
That next bit is about your read on me. I don't expect you to change it. I really don't. You can keep saying that I have the ability to change your mind, but you keep following it up with statements that your certainty of my alignment (you did it again in the above quote). Also let me point this post out. You may have had time to sit and wait for a response, but I haven't necessarily had time to post one.

Why's that? I don't think the pattern of the alignments are as important here as the relationships between the players before such a statement.Long Con wrote:It makes the most sense if Enrique named two Civvies and one teammate, actually.
Linki: Okay, I see you're open to interpretation. If you think MP is civ, why'd you vote him Day 3?

birdwithteeth11 wrote:Alright. So here's the deal. I literally just got home from work. I go back in early in the morning (off at 11 and back in at 8 w00t!), and I'm utterly exhausted. The last thing I have the time or energy for right now is making a night post, a lynch poll, and sending out PMs. So I apologize for this, but the night post probably won't be coming until around 6PM EST tomorrrow, unless bea manages to throw one up before then. I apologize to everyone for this, but I can't handle it right now due to lack of energy. Also, if you did not send in a PM, this does NOT mean you have an extension of time. I will still only count PMs and votes that came in before the deadline.
I will catch up tomorrow and get back on track then, but for now I just need to sleep. Sorry everyone!

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 5
Alright MP, I will quote (properly) and address everything I feel necessary.
I did actually place my vote on Enrique before changing my mind. That's why Chris made that post, and that's why I very briefly explained what had happened, and that's also why Enrique responded strangely. It was Dom's "random" vote all over again.
I wasn't around Day 4, so I could hardly revisit anything.
Thanks for posting this MP, you now have me convinced that you and Dana are on Enrique's team.
Over the Day 5 phase, yes, you might be right. Not many people were discussing, and I happened to catch Enrique at the tale end of the day. I was trying to get as much interaction with him as I could before he might die in case it might help my knowledge later on.MovingPictures07 wrote:------ He interacts with and quotes Enrique's posts more than anyone else by far. Just a few examples (and others permeating throughout this recap):

Actually, thank you very much for bringing this up again. Here's yet another piece of the Dana-MP-Enrique puzzle.MovingPictures07 wrote:------------- He said he thought my interaction with Dana to be strange, when she defended Enrique after I went after him:

I was getting civvie vibes from you, and have for most of the game. Maybe I'm just not good at reading you though. Just a matter of responding to one post before reading another, hence the bizarre sequence.MovingPictures07 wrote:------ D3, thinks DF had some sound points and agrees with me on a couple of quiet players, then contrasts it... reads kind of odd but IDK what if it means anything now:

I'd pointed Dana out a couple times before, but finally put together a case (kind of like your post here on me, actually). But yes, it was a result of keeping an eye on her and then suddenly realizing that her behavior read very go-alongish.MovingPictures07 wrote:------ D3, suddenly he has a lot to say about Dana and thinks she should be lynched:

That was indeed a choice I've been wondering about since that time. I do not regret the fact that Snow Dog was lynched, even though he was civ, but I do regret that Made was not lynched (effectively). But It was a bad predicament to begin with. I could have easily left my vote on Dana and walked away, but I wasn't happy with the fact that everyone's votes were so scattered. ELEVEN players received votes that day, and that's only including the final tally. It was late in the day, so I decided to take it upon myself to put my vote in a more apt position. I tried justifying it, but I had only a few minutes for that. Just after I do that and place my vote on Made you and Dana happen along and place your votes on Snow Dog (within 2 minutes of the deadline I might add). Since I was more convinced about Snow Dog than Made, it was a dream come true. But that wasn't the case. Snow Dog was good, Enrique immediately began pointing fingers (which you forgot to mention THAT interaction), and I thought I was a dead duck. But now I think differently.MovingPictures07 wrote:------ D3: Here's where it gets weird, SVS points out Made's behavior is different and MM flip flops, then tries to get me to vote Made even though he would prefer a Snow Dog lynch... this is definitely some of MM's most suspicious behavior:

I hope you drop this whole bit. Like I tried to explain in one post, I was in the car and didn't have the capacity to read and respond and make an educated vote. While I did want to vote Enrique, I decided not to because I didn't have the ability at the time to justify it. Not because I there was no reason to vote him, but because service was not good in the area. You try playing mafia in the middle of the high deserts of Oregon.MovingPictures07 wrote:------- D5: Says he explained his vote from D4... but IMO his explanation is just not much of one

Well, considering you are one of the suspects, it's no wonder you don't like this piece here.MovingPictures07 wrote:------- D5: This post is really suspicious to me, the way it's worded and the fact that he wonders if Enrique is throwing his teammates under the bus even though MM has thought I'm civvie all game is just weird, especially since he felt the need to clarify in the second post:
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 533#p89533
http://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewto ... 534#p89534
Enrique's change of opinion makes no sense. He blames Dana for setting him up. Dana didn't make a single post Day 5, and did not voice a single suspicion of him before that. So that's a load of horse poo. He blames you for setting him up too, but he was already set up before you had anything to do with it today. Like I said, I'm convinced it was hardcore XXX uncensored distancing.MovingPictures07 wrote:------- D5: Attempts to revisit Dana particularly after Enrique's posts switching his opinion on her... but I think this focus is odd because he never responds to the fact that I explain why I think she's good, at all, and he completely dropped her from that post on D3 where he found her pretty suspicious until just after Enrique died again.

I have not defended Epi though, if that's what you're implying.Roxy wrote:MP - Chris is playing like always. Hard headed and unwilling to listen or discuss the possibility he is and has been misguided. if I can get enough people to actually take time and look at Epi leading up to and during the Made/Enrique lynches and agree that he must be the cyber role check or is on the same team as the role checker then I would know more on where I stand with Chris as he has been a staunch defender of Epi. Along with Metal.
