Now we've got something to work with. The next step is to figure out who was in the closest proximity to JJJ and who might have been distancing from him. You already knew that obviously. That's why we're here after all.

The last night where Jay got lynched would have been the ideal time for his team to bus him, but watching the lynch there wasn't certainty that he was going to die until probably the last hour or so. There's probably a lot to work with there. Watch out for anyone who seemed to actively push non-Jay options.

We should also scour his posts for clues and of course keep in mind that by the start of day 4 he must have already had some idea that he'd be lynched. Don't forget that Jay was involved in two separate lynches. That's twice as much content to analyze whilst searching for his teammates.

K2's top choices for possible JJJ partners are: Cbob, Sig, LC, Quin, and maybe DDL. I might have put Kylemii on that list as well but Kyle's been reading as authentic to me lately with his attempts to find JJJ's teammates. I have a feeling that Epi/Kyle is civ/civ. I would like to kindly request that they lay off each other for maybe a cycle and focus on other players.

Additionally, K2 thinks Jay's flip should clear Dunya and Epig from suspicion.

K2 thinks the long entry period of this game ending with the lynch of their comrade paired with the civvie trust pool we've already established must weigh on the hearts and minds of the mafia. Keep an eye out for players with weakened morale.

With all this in mind, K2 thinks the best lynch for day 5 would be CBob but K2 is open to suggestions.

Gonna finish off with a fun mountain fact:

We haven't lynched any mafia yet but don't get down about it. We've managed to figure out a truly fucking wild amount of information with minimal death. Let's keep it up!

The results of the day 2 lynch seems to indicate that between Jack and Sloonei, one of them is a large mountain. Specifically one of two different roles. Watch closely what people did with that information. Determining which role just used up their power is not in the town's best interest and provides an easy cover discussion that doesn't involve hunting small mountains. For the record I think Jack and Sloonei are probably both town.

The Sloonmeister came out with the hottest of cases on C-Bobby. I give it the official K2 Seal Of Approval. 10/10 would recommend reading. Go read it now. Finish reading this and then go read it.

Speedchuck still rubs me the wrong way. I would guess that another big mountain agrees with me and that's why he was forced to use a Shakespeare era language translator. I've seen cases made against him and agree with a lot of the content of them.

I appreciate Long Con and Epignosis laying off each other for a few days. Epignosis looks much better than he did initially, and Long Con looks marginally worse, at least in my opinion. I wouldn't consider him a priority but I have my eye on him and so should you.

I think the idea that there may be small mountains hiding among the low posters holds weight. The longer we play the more I feel it to be true. There's almost always a wolf among the high posters so be careful.

I was going to close with some interesting mountain facts but it it turns out there aren't any. So instead I'm gonna close with a joke:

Why did K2 ruin Thanksgiving once again by stealing K2's family's turkey and hiding it in the bathroom where no one could find it?

Morning came. With it came the steady trickle of a mountain stream nearby. Actually that trickle had persisted through the night, but one doesn't always notice these things when one's asleep.

"How's everyone doing" juliets inquired.

The small group mourned for days. Then the Marmot scrambled out of a little hole in the ground, one that only he could fit through.

This has been a test of your survival skills. That is, to see how you all would fare caught out in a mafia game without a host.

Umm.. Hi I'm back. Sorry for the extended delay. Turns out I did not have service at the campsite I was staying at, and thus could not complete any of my duties as host.

I will be out of town this weekend until Mondayish. As such, my ability to respond to questions will be delayed, and I will only have access to the game via my phone.
I intend to extend Day 3 to 48 hours. I also intend to handle end-phases in the best capacity I can.

Death on the Mountain

The above post title is a misnomer. This is a game of mafia where one expects death at the end of every phase. A mountaineering expedition has a similar style. It makes for a better blockbuster film if someone dies.

Well, this night is not that story. This expedition has been rather uneventful.

No one has died. It is now Day 2. You have 24 hours to blow up a mountain.

MovingPictures felt out of place, dangling on the side of the mountain from a 10-mil cord. Why was he there? He thought he'd get a better view of the valley below then just standing on the precipice itself.

But Sockface was stuck, hanging by a thread. And he was cold... Oh so cold...

Fortunately, a care package was dropped from a helicopter. There was a stuffed teddy bear inside.

The Best Camping Snack

I have a friend who claims that nutella is the best camping/backpacking snack in the world. Why? Because it is incredibly calorie-dense, rich, tasty, and loaded with carbs and fat and warms you up.
