In monopoly, I have an uncle who will trade properties for ~25% of the profit gained from that property and/or free rent on that particular color. It's an interesting strategy that seems to work for him.

Our family games don't take under 2-3 hours. I'm a rapid banker, but we get into so much bickering and discussion as the game goes on when trades begin to happen.
