I asked the hosts a bunch of questions about the state of the game and the Hatch. I got a lot of ambiguous answers. I don't think the hosts know what's going on at all or what they're doing.

No, I mean that it's the thought that counts. I agree with you.Golden wrote:My hesitation on believing it was sloonei is that he's been so much more busy and more quiet recently. It fits with him understanding Mac's meta, but missing a lot of RM people.S~V~S wrote:Plus now would be a good time to discuss the baddies in the other thread now that we have had a Lynch.
Linki @ Golden, Sloonei
The other three I have in mind as not ruled out are - rico (who I know can play up fake meta tells to appear to be others), zebra, and nutella.
Re the other thread, I hope that they lynched sig. I feel very strongly about him.
And I have seen too many sigwagons to be so sure. Why so sure?
I've defended most of those sigwagons. He gets taken out for poor choice of words, things that look so overtly bad, usually specific commentary on individuals that appears contrived. The only time I went after sig and was wrong was in Turf Wars, where his apparent obvious baddieness was so outrageous that I felt he couldn't possibly be good (I was wrong).
My point being, this sig doesn't look like any of those bad wagons. Sig isn't getting himself into trouble for word usage, but rather for lack of genuine content, blendiness, and the way he handled the Mac lynch. None of these behaviours are things I associate with civ sig - neither the civ sig who gets himself in trouble (because usually that one is still opinionated), nor super-sig like what was recently seen in Unfortunate Events. Civ sig throws his thoughts out there and doesn't worry about how he looks.
Additionally, as the day was winding down, he commented on every player receiving suspicion in the thread except for MacDougall, the leading voter, who also happened to flp mafia. I don't think that's circumstantial.
And yes, that was the main reason I didn't support a Soneji lynch.

Re: 2016 Game of Champions - Beach
My vote is a placeholder vote.
I'm off now, I'll be back later. I'll likely vote for a low-poster when I do. I don't feel strongly about a suspicion of anyone. I'm willing to give Made the benefit of the doubt with regards to whether he bussed MacDougall or not, at least until we can see the posts from Day 1.
As for bea, I asked others what they think about her posts in this thread, but got no response. I find her entrance to this thread (and Day 2) to be genuine.
While Soneji did not vote for Mac on Day 1, he did vote for sig, a suspicion I share.
As such, I will likely vote Boomslang unless he responds, or at least demonstrates that he's paying attention. Actually, I'll go ahead and vote Boomslang now!
Later, Beach Bums.
Linki: There were eight (8) votes on Mac.

I wonder if Soneji will appreciate this meta research.juliets wrote:I have determined I'm not going to vote Soneji today, at least based on my current information. I have been reading Turf Wars, a game where he was bad and I do see he's not afraid to vote for a teammate early (at least I think he voted for ika, a teammate early - thats what it looks like in the post). More importantly, part of the reason he was making me uneasy is he doesn't really seem engaged in this game but I found reference in the other game that he is generally cold and aloof. Finally, his low post count was of concern to me but I also found reference in the other game to the fact that he had posted there far more than he normally does so I gather he is generally reserved with his posting.
I may vote for Made.

Looks like we have some nice discussion. Can someone explain the process to me like I am a 6 year old?

I notice some folks growing wary of Soneji. I know a lot of people are suspicious of sig (myself included). The question I asked llama is one I have for everyone in that same category.

Does it make a difference to you that Soneji voted for sig on Day 1?thellama73 wrote:I'd probably still go with Sig, but I'm increasingly comfortable with my vote for Soneji.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Because you guys are following Golden's vote around, you being the primary one.

Meta is the only way to catch spitting llamas, would you agree?Soneji wrote:Meta is a crutch as it means you can't catch said person in any kind of slip or make a convincing case that their behavior is scummy on its own. It is a tool that can be used to scumhunt but I'd never rely on it.

It's a reasonable Day 1 tool to use, would you agree?Soneji wrote:Meta is a crutch as it means you can't catch said person in any kind of slip or make a convincing case that their behavior is scummy on its own. It is a tool that can be used to scumhunt but I'd never rely on it.

Nah, I'll leave you all to in the dark for now. What's the fun in socks if I just tell everyone who I think it is?thellama73 wrote:Would you like to share who you think he is? I don't have a specific ping about him like I do against Soneji, but he definitely has work to do if he wants to stick around. I'd say the same for Donna Meagle, who appears to not be trying at all.
I don't intend to defend him, I just wanted to say that.

I have a gander for Donna too.

Re: 2016 Game of Champions - Beach
How much did Soneji post? It was somewhere around an 8-hour window between when Mac's name came up and the day ended. Did Soneji post in that timeframe?thellama73 wrote:One of my observations that prisoner didn't see was that Soneji was posting, but never mentioned Mac and was never mentioned by Mac, one of the only active players where that was the case. One of Soneji's relvevent posts described relying on meta analysis as "a crutch." Meta analysis is what did Mac in.
As of this moment, I think Soneji looks the most like a bad guy of anyone here.
To answer Made's question, I bet it will either be Sig or Wilgy.
Your crutch point reminds me of that post and tells me that he did post in that window. I do wish we could view the Day 1 thread though. This is most unfortunate.
