Re: Cards Against Humanity [Night 2]

Flyin' High wrote:I voted john because I honestly wasn't getting civvie vibes from him. My vote had nothing to do with llama. I was pinged by john's Day 1 comments and still felt those pings Day 2. Being wrong is a real bitch, but unfortunately it happens in mafia.

As for llama, at this point it is definitely looking more like he does have a team that is helping him. But before I jump to 100% conclusions, I want to read through the roles to look at all of the possibilities.

A) The lynch was a tie according to DH:
The final vote tally on the poll was 3 Sorsha v. 4 llama
So for it to be a tie, someone had to put a 4th vote on Sorsha
As far as I can tell, the only extra vote available was the penis envy prize
So assuming no unwritten game secrets, whoever won that prize put it on Sorsha

B) DH broke the tie in favor of lynching llama and llama survived
No civvie roles had been assigned yet so his survival was either to do unknown unwritten game secrets or being part of a mafia team
Possible roles that could survive a lynch are:
Firing a rifle into the air while balls deep in a squealing hog: Your gunfire causes other players to leave you alone. Your beastiality causes them to leave you even further alone. You survive the first two attempts (lynch or NKs) on your life.

The taint; the grundle; the fleshy fun-bridge: You’re stuck between the dick and the asshole. No one wants to join you, so you’ll survive the first attempt on your life. Once in the game, you may pick 5 players, and force them to discuss what they call this area of the human body, making their votes worth 0, or roleblocking them if used at night. If you use it during a lynch, it cannot be used in conjunction with the one time ability of Pixelated Bukkake.

Or maybe the indy role since we have no clue what their powers may be?
The Balancer: SECRET ROLE

Occam's Razor does seem to point to llama being bad based on surviving Day 1.

C) llama had 8 votes to john's 6 votes in the Day 2 poll, but john ended up lynched
Possible explanations include:
Someone used the lynch switch Day 2
Switcher (Passive): One lynch switch. You do not get other powers until this has been used. You may not opt out of having this power. The player you switch the lynch to must have at least 1 public vote.

The person with the stacked deck happened to pick cards that john had raising the votes he started with (this is highly unlikely because they'd have to have picked 3 cards john had and chances of that seem slim to none)
Stacked Deck (Passive): You may trade in any amount of your white cards, for other white cards of your choice. If another player has the white card(s) you choose, you will get a different card, and that player or players will start the following lynch with +1 vote for every card you picked that they hold. You may get other powers while holding this card. You may opt out of having this power, allowing someone else to get it. If you are killed why you hold this card, it automatically transfers to a random player you could not have won with.

Perhaps the thief attempted to steal an awesome point from john knowing he didn't have any which made him start at +2 votes, but this would have resulted in a tie and no one has mentioned there being another tie
Thief: You may pick another player, and steal 1 Awesome Point from them. If they have no Awesome Points, they start the next lynch at +2 votes.

The midgets and the smegma targeted john Night 1 (but again, like with the thief this would have resulted in a tie, not john straight up getting lynched so I find this unlikely)
Two midgets shitting into a bucket: Each night, you may pick another player to empty your bucket of shit on to. This will put them at +1 vote in every lynch from then on. You may not pick the same player again until three other players have had your bucket dumped on them.
Smegma: Each night, you may share your... dirt with another player. This will put them at +1 vote in every lynch from then on. You may not pick the same player again until three other players have had your dirt shared with them.

The explanation I find the most likely is that the Pixelated Bukkake voted for john
Pixelated Bukkake: Once in the game, you may pick up to half of all currently living players, and force them to vote for a player of your choice. Your lynch vote is worth 2, and every player you do not have BTSC with who votes for the same player you do has .5 added to their vote total (to a maximum of 3 extra votes on the person, or 6 people voting for them). This +.5 does not occur during the lynch you force votes. Kill on even nights.

My current thinking is this: I think thellama is the Taint. (when am I ever gonna get to say that again!? :haha: ) He survived Day 1 due to his role. Day 2 the Pixelated Bukkake + llamataint voted for john. The other two teammates voted elsewhere.

The breakdown of votes against would look like this:
Player 1 (Pixelated Bukkake) vote worth 2
Player 2 (llamataint) vote worth 1
Player 3 (not a teammate) vote worth 1.5
Player 4 (not a teammate) vote worth 1.5
Player 5 (not a teammate) vote worth 1.5
Player 6 (not a teammate) vote worth 1.5
Total = 9 votes
That would have caused john to be lynched over llama yesterday.

If this is what happened, then llama should be vulnerable tomorrow since the taint can only survive one lynch.

With all of this in mind, a possible alternative explanation for Day 1 is that llama and two of his teammates (one of which is the Pixelated Bukkake) voted for Sorsha which caused the tie.
Also let it be known that there was no tie on D2, or at least I was not asked to decide a tie. I'll go ahead and inform you guys of that now instead of 5 hours before tomorrow's vote deadline. ;)

What does it matter if there was a tie in the lynchvoting? Card czars are required to break any tie that does happen. (That being me today). Somebody should have died yesterday.

I don't know if you said it, but I do know that I've mentioned it, as has john, and at least 1-2 other people.

So... it has been mentioned. Wouldn't this be another good test too? If llama survives a second lynch, odds are pretty good that it's because of that role. I see no other explanation for surviving a lynch twice.

johns2jj wrote:No civ can lock into a power AFAIK without three awesome points. No one should be able to have 3 awesome points yet. To survive a lynch you have to be bad, or have hidden votes against you allowing the lynch to fall on another. If the lynch actually should of fallen on another then my vote is misplaced but I believe I am not acting in error. Only time will tell one way or the other.
Then the only person who should have been able to affect votes at the end on the first day was dharma, and that's because he was the card czar. That might not matter though, because even if there were a tie, somebody would have had to be lynched. Why are you convinced that surviving a lynch makes you bad? I'm convinced the other way around, but I'm also under the impression that nobody had any special role on D1 and it was merely a game mechanic that allowed him to survive.

If roles were enabled on D1, then I could see him being bad, because the only way to avoid the lynch would be if he was "Firing a rifle into the air while balls deep in a squealing hog." That's the only role I can find that allows escape from lynches.

One of the things I find most suspicious is someone deliberately trying to craft their vote record to convey as little info as possible. I expect I will be voting for him again tomorrow.
Actually, it doesn't :p I don't see what you're seeing in John. How exactly is he crafting his vote record to do what you're suggesting he's doing?
Civvies use vote records to track down baddies. Whenever someone deliberately avoids allowing his vote record to provide useful information, as John outright stated he was doing, it smells of baddie tactics to me. Civvies vote for those they think are bad. Baddies vote in ways that cannot be used to track them down later.
Any good mafia player can make it appear otherwise. I played a nine-player game once where there were only two mafia, one being myself. I was lynched one Day 1, but I began the day by voting my partner for the lolz. Turns out, he essentially earned lynch-immunity because of my vote, and ultimately won the game on his own. I know self-votes are hard to read, but I've also seen vanilla townies self-vote to sacrifice themselves on Day 1 in order to save a potential lynch of a power role.

Another possible reason to self-vote, it seems to me that you cannot see others' votes unless you place a vote somewhere yourself. That said, john, why didn't you just no-vote?

So I am just waiting for that to pick up. As far as what has caught my eye, just the few things I have pointed out, right now the main thing would be Llama's reference to his track record. I believe it was MP who did that in WWE, probably what you're thinking of. SVS and her explanation kind of calmed my initial wonder of her excuse, but I am still wary because while she explained it more in depth my initial problem was that the explanations may be excuses/scummy reasoning rather than the best intentions.

I cannot remember but I am reading Dom and find her fluffy, and I don't remember him (?) like that but I may be thinking of later stages in the game.
