Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Day 4: The Iliad was Lost to Time
i have an issue with this incorrect thing that people keep saying, because it's a misrepresentation of my efforts, i've spent time scumhunting, the only reason it looks like i've spent more time with turnip head is because it's what i've discussed more, because it was something i was uniquely in a position to discuss, and something i needed to convince others of, since i wanted to make sure he was dealt with in what i thought was the right way.Spacedaisy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 25, 2018 3:38 pmEpi, my problem with Kykeis he spent more time apparently defending and helping a 3P than he did scum hunting. And I still think he trusted me very easily at the beginning of the game. But much like lapluie, with him it’s less what he did wrong and more what he didn’t do much at all.
i've spent time figuring out how i feel about players other than turnip head. and posted my reads, they're not in paragraph form because they didn't need to be, because i pretty much always tend towards reading other players and deciding how i feel about them and how best to proceed more often than telling other people what the best thing to do is.

ok well the good news is, assuming a mafia team of 4, we're gauranteed to have lynched at least one mafia by now otherwise the game would be over.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Night 3: Enter the domain of Chronos
I point out that turnip head's indie-ness is an unverified claim, everything else about turnip head is something I know for sure. The fact that we are masons is a definite.
the fact that I am a time mage is a definite fact that I know for certain.
"oops all doctors" and the fact that there are 3 of them should be enough for juliets to figure out on her own that
hey maybe something's weird there, along with the fact that doctors don't normally roleclaim.
everything relating to golden's claims with Scotty and spacedaisy are listed as possiblity based on Juliets rolecard that she can verify for herself.
your role claim is not related to anything or anyone else and hasn't been demonstrated in thread so it's also still ambiguous and unverified, so plz relax.

yes that's what I said you're doingColinIsCool wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 2:38 pmHell yes I'm only saying it because it affects me the most.
there's a part of me that thinks that if Luna and sig weren't mafia the real mafia are the players who've taken the strategy of "hey let's just happen to be around to counterclaim people's claims early and nothing bad will happen cus this game will be pretty short and no one would suspect it". maybe that's tinfoil, but it's why i downgraded your "is" to a "says". there's nothing backing up your claim so to state it like it's a known and proven thread fact would be inaccurateI disagree with the second paragraph in that it would not make sense for me to want to target Turnip Head specifically like that, out of everyone in the game, and especially at that juncture. I'm sure there is a tinfoilly way to make it make sense but that's ... not the case.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Night 3: Enter the domain of Chronos
mixmasons means we're mason's but with no up front gaurantee if being the same alignment. TH claimed indie so he's not civ, so mixmasons.
scotty and spacedaisy were cleared by golden who turned into you, so if you're civ then they're probably civ as well. I think there was another player involved in that but I don't remember who. Also Kyle I don't quite get the meaning of this sentence:
"scotty and spacedaisy and I think someone else are all town if you have a town role card, if you don't then who knows I guess"
You think someone else are all town? who? Or is there a word or two missing from the sentence?

turnip head and i are mixmasons and he's claimed an indie with a predict 2 elections win condition, it's like this whole thing. we'll hopefully resolve it tonight.

sig and luna wree hopefully mafia but maybe they weren't and we're fucked but hopefully they were and we're doing fine but who knows

Looks an awful lot like you're maybe taking advantage of whatever the prevailing narratives are in the thread and easily trusting other people for reasons unclear to me, bud
![:p :p](./images/smilies/tongue2.gif)
your claim is unverified and not actually backed up by anyone or any evidence, and i think if turnip head turns out to have been telling the truth it's a non zero possibility that you made up your role claim just to make his sound worse. "you get an extra vote if you can guess the night poll result" is as much of an absurd role as turnips' claimed role. do you disagree with that?
do you suspect me, colin

in that moment i was feeling really unsure about the sig lynch. turnip head seemed like a decent low damage just in case alternative. I feel a little better about how the sig lynch went now, if I'd been around to post I don't think I'd have made the same choiceColinIsCool wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 9:36 am Idk how to feel about Kyle changing his tune on Turnip Head either but I don’t see why he would suddenly think it’s not a “waste of resources” to lynch him especially if he’s not even trying to coordinate to get his wincon as Kyle attested.

Re: Retrocausality Mafia - Night 3: Enter the domain of Chronos
my ability targets a players recent past action and makes it happen the night I targeted them from. if all my action did was make a yesternight death into a tonight death then i don't think that would be noticably represented, unless speedchuck wrote in the night post "quin has vanished again" idk I haven't actually asked. I just assumed it wouldn't work like thatSpacedaisy wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 5:46 amWait, are you saying you can do this or have done this, or both? Can I suggest using it on someone you really suspect of being bad? Because if you happen to hit a baddie carrying out the vanishing, it will be delayed and you'll know it was them when it shows up tomorrow with two vanishings instead.
No wait, I think I am misunderstanding. So you can basically replicate someone's activity the following night?

I wasn't told "if you target a kill nothing will happen" I was told "in the case of a kill this might not have much of an effect"MacDougall wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 4:20 amYeah but you said that you were told if you target a kill nothing will happen right?Kylemii wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 4:18 am I can't effect the night kill directly just cus of how real life time works. speedchuck couldn't text quin tonight and be like hey guess what you didn't die after all, go ahead and post a bunch in the past during day 3 except not after that cus you're dead already
but if my targeting causes people to get unblocked or unprotected they can die or undie or i guess... hypothetically re-die?
We are already here in this timeline where Quin didn't post in the past but if you were able to manipulate the night kill from the previous night to occur tonight instead and we can ensure Quin's protection then the kill won't occur and Quin should return to the thread? Unless you literally cannot alter kills as a specific part of your role.
Given we are all fairly aligned with our reads we should at least try this with your role.
the biggest boundary to that plan is that we'd have to correctly guess last night's killer and also spend a protection in the process. it'd be a major 2 birds one stone moment if it would work/be allowed
