I have no idea why "evening the playing field" would be a reason to lynch Sloonei.

like I get the idea is "sloonei's never died once and many others have died once or twice, let's string him up so we're all on the same level so it's fair or something" but that makes no sense from the mindset that we're working together towards a common goal

Sig's statement on Sloonei irks me for that reason, because balance shouldn't factor in to anything at all. if Sloonei is a bad then yes he should be lynched for that and stripped of his first and second lives but if he's civ, then him having two lives is an important asset.

viewing things in terms of balance gives off an aura of like..... almost an indie perspective?

nutella died during the day phase before I really got my footing in the thread after the deluge of new content. I didn't feel qualified to give thoughts on players I didn't know the in-game histories of yet so I took more of a backseat, I'm not super positive that I even read some of these pages.

It's not a fully assured idea yet, but it stems from process of elimination when looking at the Pikachu 2.0 crew. Same as what brought me to suspect wilgy earlier. If we assume that the Evil Evens killed sprityo, then there must have been an Even in Pikachu with us.

It is possible that we've been on the wrong path about this and that strex kills on even nights while the Evens kill on odd nights. It is counter-intuitive, but that might be the point. If it weren't for the theory about evens killing sprit, I'd probably not suspect anyone from Pikachu 2.0.

I should look back and see if there was any resistance to the nutella suspicion before she got blown up.

oh i see. but why are we making the assumption that sprityo couldn't have been killed by a Pikachu native?

nijuu was pub revealed as town.... what are the actual implications of that?

Nutella was a role that revealed a reversed alignment reveal. we thought she used it on Speedchuck but speeds reveal was actually real, right? implying that a role that gave a real flip does exist and that Nutella actually never used her power before dying. but then nijuu flip happened... which means either the role that flipped speedchuck was more than one-shot power or that there's a third role that does a similar thing to the other two

in any case we know this wasn't done specifically done by the wrong flipper, and the odds of there being two false flippers seems low, or at least lower than there being a 2-shot real-flipper. 3rd possibility would be an insane flipper but that would be stupid and impractical and wouldn't benefit anyone.

i'm inclined to trust this flip

okay. i'm taking a break. i'm taking this chunk by chunk. i stopped at the beginning of page 17. some thoughts to share, with the stipulation that many are subkect to change as i progress deeper into the heart of pikachu.

ddl calls out both LC and nutella early on when they weren't necessarily being targeted by any significant scrutiny yet. at fist glance i'd say this makes him slightly less likely to be a member of the evil evens, but i would like to update this later on once i've read both of nutella and long con's respective lynches, since distancing is still a thing.

quin was aggro'ed by long con early on, which i think makes him less likely to be an even as well.

sprityo claimed that he had a cool role early on and it seemed a little jarring? i didn't really understand the benefit of making such a claim, he also seems to have had more of a thread presence back then. did he die? he's on a watch lost for the remainder of my excursion

Sig’s first role was such that he targeted a player and they had a 33% chance to either be silenced, blocked or killed.
That would be a shitty role to use on your teammate. And an even shittier role to pretend to use on them

i think honestly my problem is that i was trying to enjoy this game with as little effort as possible. the effort itself is waht makes it enjoyable. you cant eat your cake without having it first etc. etc. etc.

iirc inh and i (and maybe one other?) were insanified before Scotty's death and flip as the insanifier. I was a little salty about it and questioned him and asked him why he might have targeted the way he did, especially after requesting that he wanted to hear more from me. that's when we discovered the "living players who had previously alive roles cannot answer questions about their past lives night actions" rule, but I believe it was insinuated that he wasn't responsible for all of the insanifications and that there might be a power copying role of some kind.

idk. I think I've just been generally losing interest in mafia lately. I noticed it a lot in fiddler on the roof where instead of actively playing I just became like.... a passenger, where my only contributions have been through process of elimination and like... contemporary thread posts analysis where i follow other people. everything else has felt more like a chore to me than a game. I think after this game I'm probably going to take a break for a couple months to refresh my interest

I also have an eyeball on Lorab right now. "Ugh. I have no idea where to vote. I don't actually suspect anyone" at the end of Day 1 is so noncommittal, then she votes Sloonei for "peer pressure" and the active voices in the thread don't really get on her for that lack of reasoning. She then jumps in, first post of Day 2, to begin the WIFOM about me and the Blooper kill.
Sig is bad, maybe, or i just don't agree with him but not gonna push for him.
