you're next to him on the draft order list, though on the list that reflects army membership he's only next to lapluie who is not magical nor a bowman

i'm not really clear why it matters if he really chose not to target anyone last night, and I don't really understand which player list his deployment is based on?

do promotion abilities cancel out the regular abilities, or just give you a wider selection of powers? cos if it's the latter, I can see the scum not all using them?

I don't know for sure. The ones we know about are paladin and sage. Sage has a directly improved mage power plus a one shot protection, paladin has a significant passive upgrade to the standard cavalier power.... So maybe both are possibilities? I don't actually know if I'm allowed to use my protection staff on the same night that I cast elfire, cus I haven't tried it yet.

I'd have to assume the shaman would get new or different abilities after promoting to druid or especially summoner, or at the very least an improved ability to do what it already does... For example being able to reveal two secrets at once or being able to reveal backstory stuff as well... Idk. Something like that. If it were something like that then I could technically see a mafia TonyStarkPrime avoiding using his full power to avoid being obvious. I don't think that possibility by itself is enough to suspect TonyStarkPrime based on.

I'd hope the shaman role and his promotions would have cool toys to mess with cus the druid and summoner have some of the most unique abilities in the source material. Druid is the only unit that can drain hp and summoner can create illusory copies of himself. I mean.... It's dark magic. There has to be more utility than just revealing secrets.

it's possible but I don't think it's likely, just based on the backstory details we know about already it seems like the roles are probably affectionate homages to specific characters, the monk being Lucius, the Pegasi being Florina and her siblings, and epi being.... Elise (I think?????)

Jack's put a lot of care into the back-stories so I'd be surprised if there were any repeats power types thrown in without direct purpose or thoughtful meaning.

hmmmm if my power really didn't hit it's intended target then it's possible it got redirected by long con to hit you instead? I'm not actually sure if that would cause you to just get a wrong result or if TonyStarkanine would get a thief read of your nationality instead? It's not always clear what "reverse" means.

what possible benefit is there to redirecting a power that is only useful if it targets specific roles? elfire does basically nothing unless it hits like one of like... six different players.

doctor white seems jumpy and I don't necessarily find his suspects to be authentic, since they seem to be statements of thought instead of actual efforts into determining alignment.

I think Epi's statistics just sorta.... solidified things we already knew. We already knew that Dunya and jay would be on a lot of lists because they're prolific players in both of the communities this game is built out of. That doesn't mean we should ignore our actual reads on those players, the don might have kept in mind that Jay or Dunya being well known and popular would make them quick targets for attention (and powers) and avoided them. Likewise, a player who no one picked hypothetically isn't gauranteed to not have been picked, since the don might have taken that exact thing into account.

It's a guide book, not an instruction pamphlet. The statistics can inform our choices but they should never determine them.

No idea! My post probably should have been in sarc tags or something, it wasn't serious. (Although I do have a strong town read on DDL I'm not convinced this poll actually means much if anything.)

I think armies will probably mean something later on in the game. We just don't have enough information to understand it yet.

5. I am not impressed by those who gave branching feedback. The "I-would-pick-him-or-her-or-him-but-not-all-three" sort. If you were the mafia leader, you would have to pick, not waffle. Those who did this specifically are Kylemii, Quin, and Kenway. Therefore Kenway gets removed from my list in the first point.

my purpose wasn't to impress you, the purpose was to give you a thoughtful response in the spirit of the excercise. were i the don in this kind of game I would choose players based on separate non intersecting categories, and my selections represented those categories. If im building a mafia team I'm not gonna just pick my favorite 4 people, I'd have to actually think about it; obviously there'd be variables.

I also don't think I can really even target anyone who isn't on foot?

Look at the ones on the bottom of the poll. It's the two who were revealed to be from Badguyia, but we can vote to recruit them. I don't have any real reason to suggest this, just out of curiosity.
