voting for jack doesn't make it seem like you're interested in voting for actual baddies. do you suspect jack or are you voting for him just cus he's not you?

so, if the imprisoner role is in the mafia then speedchuck probably isn't mafia. but also if the imprisoner is mafia then the game is probably already over anyways, unless I'm misremembering and imprisoned players can still vote, in which case nevermind I guess

or 7. speedchuck has just been trapped in the bathroom this whole time, actually.

so..... there's 6 possibilities here:

1. A. speed is civ and the imprisoner is also civ and wants to protect speed: possible, I think?
1. B. speed is civ and is the imprisoner himself, kind of complicated, would be a way to keep himself from getting lynched I guess?
2. speed is mafia and the imprisoner is civ but thinks speed is civ; also possible
3. speed is civ but the imprisoner is mafia, and wants to silence speed I guess? this one seems like the least likely.
4. A. speed is mafia and the imprisoner is also mafia, removing a vote from his team's repetoir seems like it would be a bad idea at this sort of juncture. I don't think it's this.
4. B. same as 4. A. but it's fake and speed is still capable of posting or voting and plans to vote suddenly at the end of the phase. I don't know if this is the kind of plan speed would do or if it would even be necessary. doing this would accomplish less than not doing it at all would accomplish. plus forgoing using the imprisonment power just to give speed some cover would make no sense since they could just use that on someone else and get an easy majority

speeds last post was right before the end of night 7

were past prisoners able to vote? I'm trying to parse this out in my brain. when was the last time we had a confirmed imprisonment?

my most notable experience with mafia speedchuck was in mortal kombat where we'd reached the critical pseudo lylo stage and he basically outed himself to petition to jaggedjimmyjay (but not me for some reason and I'm not bitter about it) to side with him against the civs and end the game, in a kind of desperation coup de grace.

if speedchuck is mafia here in this game then he'd be calculating his moves to put himself and his team in the best position possible even if it's a little risky, whatever that means in this context

i told you it was a reactionary thing. i felt, at the time, like you were being manipulative with your portrayal of my words and actions, because you were using language that i viewed as being manipulative and didn't match with my recollection of events. i asked jack how confident he was in his read on you because you didn't seem to be acting reasonable, and i don't personally have a reason to town read you beyond jack's impression of you.

the way you came after me with this recent stuff felt similar to me to the way you came at me at the start of fiddler on the roof with a focus on twisting my words and the context around them to make me look bad and harping on things that don't actually matter. maybe my comparison was reactionary and not 100% accurate but it was how i felt at the time. i'm not spending any more time on this tonight, but you shouldn't keep your vote on me.

trust fall is where you go through every player one by one and come up with the best reason you have to read them as town, and then you make note of which ones are the hardest to come up with a good reason for.

sometimes thinking about things backwards helps narrow down the PoE

The 'comments I keep making'. Indeed. The direct comment you paraphrased is nothing close to the spirit of what I said. My comment was "if you're too busy right now then let me know", and your interpretation is much uglier than anything I intended. Anything else I have discussed was discussed as what is the most valuable use of your MAFIA time, which you brought up.

I don't feel confused about anything we've discussed here. You're really adding a lot of extra concepts in this summary that weren't part of the original conversation.

I don't know why you're still pushing this discussion, or what you hope to gain from it. I didn't like the way you were speaking to me as if you have some sort of authority over how I spend my free time. i know you say you didn't mean your comments to be passive aggressive jabs but that's how they looked to me, regardless of your intentions. can we please move on from this topic?

I'd feel better about your questions if there were a progression like ask - get answer - discuss answer, but when I see ask - get answer - no follow-up, surely you can understand why that looks more like post-padding and faux-participation.

most of the time my questions end up being answered/explored by the time i finish catching up to the thread, if no one's talking about something that I think needs to be talked about then I'll start the discussion. I'm not concerned with how I look, or with 'post padding' or whatever. everything i say is important by the nature of helping me learn things and hopefully make good decisions.

there's 3 mafia left alive, I'm not going to get closer to knowing who they are by looking at my own posts

TH, that's wrong, it's not that I wasn't feeling the kness case, it's that it was unfamiliar to me. and I wasn't fully decided on where my vote should go by the time I got off work but it didn't seem to actually matter. the votes were 5-4 and my options were to tie the lynch and risk giving Gemini man carte blanche or to vote for k-ness. I thought the best way i could use my vote constructively in that circumstance would have been to wait til the last second in case Gemini man showed up again and vote for the opposite candidate.
