Why do I think that they will be more important? It’s just how I read the thread. More current first as that’s where the current discussion will be and some of the old page stuff will probably be reiterated on them. So I’m reading last nights pages, while trying to stay on the current page to discuss, then if I get time later today I’ll go back to the Day 0 pages.Justplayingitcool wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 5:44 amWhy do you think that?fingersplints wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 5:28 am I’m beginning to realise I’m going to have a hard time keeping up with this game with this kind of posting. Re: Fargo Mafia [DAY 1]
The other games I played were smaller. This is my first larger game since my break and it has a lot more posts. I’m struggling to stay up to speed. Hopefully soon I will be able to contribute more in the way you are used to.Alison wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 10:25 pm - Fingersplints is doing all the townie stuff that she usually does in other games, but she isn't as obvious town to me as she has been in both other games I've seen her town. I would like to understand why. This is the primary reason for reading her only lightly town and why I have her as a slot to look into.

Oh ok that makes more sense. I saw the title of this one
As Day 1 and wondered why you would think it didn’t count on day 1 but didn’t look up when you posted the original “vote”

Re: Fargo Mafia [DAY 1]
I read JJJ’s “not town reads” as “next town reads” and thought how many tiers of town are there on this list
then I saw some of the names on it and double checked then realised my mistake

I’ve been playing with LC for quite a long time, and I’m also surprised at any early confident reads on him.

I didn't do it for good form, I did it because I thought it probably mattered to some players to know. Kind of similar, really, I think that's WHY it's good form generally: to make sure people know.fingersplints wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 2:12 pmI don’t understand your response to me. But on this thought, once upon a time it used to be a rule that you had to post in the thread what your vote was. Or maybe it was just considered good form. Is this not the case anymore?
What there is to not understand is that I didn’t have a “hypothesis”. I just asked if people didn’t post their vote when they voted anymore. I never said you did it for good form. I said that in the past there was either a rule or it was considered good form. I was just establishing what is considered the norm now.
I’m feeling mostly good about Oddmerta’s content so far. Despite the current confusion of my question, I’m not sure I agree with LC being suspicious just posting his vote as that is Normal behaviour to me, but I don’t have a read on LC yet either way.

Just a generic term for somebody having a role with some power, such as doc, cop etc.
This is closer to what I was coming up with

Re: Fargo Mafia [DAY 0]
I’m reading the pages from beginning from before I started posting, while trying to stay up with the current pages since. I’m generally not very good at early scum hunting, which is why I admire all of your ability to start so quickly.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 10:01 am I think the spirit of fingersplints' posts convey a civilian character. I'm not sure I'll have confidence for process of elimination purposes without more direct hunting content. For the soul read though I am okay with calling her town.
I tend to start by figuring out how I feel about players I know, as ones I have never played with before I have a harder time reading due to no available comparison.
Having said that, from the first half of my read the players I feel best about are you, Sloonei, and Falcon. You, just for a feeling of your town game. Falcon I felt genuine in attempts to start scumhunting right away. Sloonei, I also feel has been genuine. The only thing I didn’t love about Sloonei was the “isn’t anyone going to ask me about Alison comments” rather than just stating the reason for his suspicion, but I suppose he was probably asking to gauge responses in a way that my brain just doesn’t work.

Re: Fargo Mafia [DAY 0]
Depends on the situation. Doesn’t matter in so far as in most cases you can still say what you want at night. Unless of course, you are the one being lynched and unable to be around for time zone related reasons.Oddmerta wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 8:29 amThen that means the timezones don't matterfingersplints wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 8:26 amThe host post says the thread will stay open at night.
I always find a lot of discussion and activity happens right before the lynch, so I personally like to be present if possible. 6 or 8 PM EST I will probably be up for both so it’s not that huge of a deal for me either way. I’ve had games end at 10 or 11 PM EST and I would get way too invested in the game and be up in the middle of the night.

Re: Fargo Mafia [DAY 0]
Personally I always find it difficult to jump right into games like some of you, and it takes me a little bit to gather my thoughts, but I always appreciate all this early discussion. In fact I’d go so far to say I’m quite impressed with some of your ability to pull out these early suspicions. The last game I played one of these seemingly little suspicions found us a mafia day 1, so I’m willing to listen to them all.JaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 5:45 am I think we might need to have a philosophical dialogue after the game on the wisdom of blowing up Day 0 before everyone/most people have had a chance to acknowledge that the game exists and put themselves in it. I seems both anti-town and anti-mafia, so it's not necessarily a problem. Post at will my friends. But maybe I'll be a narcissist later, look at my own posts post-game, and remember from this one that it's conversation time.

Re: Fargo Mafia [DAY 0]
Hello all. Excited to see that the game is started and that there are already 9 pages. The Day 0’s of 5 years ago were just to check in and for nonsense. I really do love how you all just dive into the discussion.
I have to read everything still, and I know nothing of the theme. But as for the poll, early end time is always better for me since I am in the UK.
