Nanook isn't fully clear in my mind. Is there a chance Nook is in the other team and has a vig shot?
I guess there is always a chance but it feels really unlikely to me. There has been a lot of kills each night, I feel like the town would need a kill to balance it out. Also, if nanook was wolf why would he go for Dom with his extra kill and not try to get one of the confirmed town? I’ve been leaning town on nanook for a while so I trust this
This might be a fingersplints wolf believing Nanook is truly town.

If fingersplints is a wolf, Esooa isn't on her team.

Maybe true, but the insistence upon appearing as this type of innocence feels a little like a wolfy shield.
fingersplints wrote: Sat Apr 10, 2021 12:01 pm @Sloonei

Speculating bad based on role and team just isn’t my thing unless there are obvious reasons for me to think it. My scum hunting tactics have always been quite unconventional in that manner. I used to play in games where you’d generally be given a list of all the roles from the host in the beginning, and people would find it odd because I wouldn’t read the roles for days. I remember one game where I got suspicion for not knowing the town win condition, but I was town
It’s why you’ll hear me say time and time again that I’m more comfortable in smaller games with more standard role mechanics, or I’ll play if I absolutely love the theme. This game was a bit of a weird one for me to choose because it ticks none of those things I just mentioned. If you want to know the actual reason, I mentioned it in signups https://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewt ... 36#p756636
:suspish: :disappoint: :sigh:

I’ve already said my thoughts haven’t changed, but let’s talk more
Anyways, I know you have disagreed with this take, but I still think TSP is Marmot’s teammate based on early comments made. Anything later on I think could have been attempts at distancing. It’s probably stubborn headless, but I can’t get over it.

I think some valid points have been made for the ted connection to marmot, so I could see this as another possibility. I don’t want to be accused of copying again, so I’m just being honest here that it’s in no way my idea but I think it’s got merit.

The rest on the last PoE I listed (al, LC, maybe Dom) have potential scummy behaviour that I don’t identify to any team. Dom’s still included here because he’s such a big question mark that I don’t want to forget about him and give him a free pass.

I know I still have some neutrals, but tbh I feel comfortable not having made up my mind on everyone yet. I don’t play like that. I have a few main suspects to focus on and that is enough for me. I am open minded enough to allow for thinking about others, but I don’t feel like I need to be pressured to decide about them now.
Debated on including this one just for the fact that she pushed on two townfolk here, because that happens. But I couldn't resist highlighting the small Player Salad she employed, yes, it is a real tell. Two town members and AL_sama, who's probably just on KC and not fingersplints' team, Gerhardt.

Also, she treated TSP as her personal suspicion project ALMOST to the exclusion of other suspicions until he died.

I definitely agree with the talk that Falcon needs revisiting. I remember thinking they were town early on, but I’m not sure that it’s a good enough reason with the recent flip and their latest activity. (Changing votes while not wanting to answer why)
His lack of an explanation upon request is not a great look either.

If you had to crunch the game down into a 5-player pool of suspects, who would they be?
If I were to crunch the player list to the “least townie” 5 I’d probably end up with Al, Dom, LC, jpic, and maybe Falcon.
But I’m having a hard time picking just 5. Being wrong about tsp is making me question a lot. I still don’t have a great read on spf. I’m less confident on town lean for Bo. I don’t know if we can trust the claims for Odd and KZA. And what if I’m just stupid and wrong in my town read of nanook.
:sigh:
This time, she opted for the Large Player Salad.

Blah. Done with ISO. Suspicion rekindled. [VOTE: fingersplints] aubergine
You’ve been playing with me for a long time. You know better than anyone here that mechanics aren’t my thing. This game is very complicated. I can’t prove anything now with that other than saying you know better, so I’ll reiterate it after the game for good measure. Not much I can really say about this. Although I doubt I’ll ever play such a complicated game again, so it probably won’t come up as reason for suspicion. Kind of a lame response, but I think this is kind of a lame accusation anyways :p

Now to the “salad”...The large player salad is me listing five players directly replying to Sloonei asking for five players. I really can’t see how that is so incriminating. Maybe I don’t really understand the whole salad thing, because I don’t see how what you are accusing me of is any different then people having PoE. It’s just a group of suspects

Out of curiosity, how many players do you think are on each team?

I haven’t been home much today. Trying to quickly catch up. The main point against Esooa is the speculation they are lying about their role, correct?
Best case scenario of an Esooa lynch would be catching a wolf, worst case scenario would be a wasted day if they are telling the truth they can’t be lynched.

" 🖕🖕"
The Kitchen Brothers

[Passive] - The silent enforcers of the Kansas City Mob, the Kitchen Brothers do everything in pairs. They have two lives, they have 2 votes, and each night they may perform their actions twice. A day elimination consumes both lives, and the double-action doesn't affect the factional kills. If they lose a life, they will also lose their extra vote and actions.

[Passive] - The Kitchen Brothers will always clean after themselves and janitor their target if they perform the factional kill.
--- [Identical Twins] - If they perform the factional kill, they will not be seen visiting the target. [2-shots]

[Active] -
Each night, the Kitchen Brothers may target a player and give them a beating. They will role-block them for the night. If they target the same player twice in a row, they will disable any passive they have the second night and drain their vote the following day.

Wincon - Eliminate all threats to the Kansas City Mafia

'Night' 3 starts.
Day 4 starts in 24 hours.
This role has two lives, so this team would have known one was used up. It would be a convenient fake claim to get a little townie credit.
It says a Day elimination would use both lives, so I don't think we can assume one was already used up
I need to read more thoroughly. XD These role mechanics are too confusing for me.

I’ve never played with Tony before, so I had no comparison.
Is there anyone who you think should have “known better” or any reason to think someone who voted him wasn’t genuine in their suspicion?
Fingersplints and I don't have experience with TSP. To us, he looked scummy. The Marmot thing alone, which fingersplints banked on, was enough. I recall @Hally saying that this is how TSP is, before the chop. I seem to recall others saying so as well, but I can't immediately recall. So my thought comes in the form of a question:

Who amongst us knew TSP's meta, saw people suspect, vote for, and ultimately chop him—and didn't say, 'That's just how Tony is'?

Bonus question: Who amongst us knew TSP's meta and didn't speak up, but spoke up about other people's meta?
the thing is, tony just finished a game where he wolfed extremely well. he posted more than any wolf in site history and won in F3 of a long grueling game. it’s understandable coming off a win like that one that he faced a lot of paranoia in this game for no real reason. whenever someone has a good wolf performance like that people are always going to be irrationally paranoid the next game so they don’t get duped again
This logic says we should chop Alison
i wasn’t arguing that the paranoia was justified. i was simply saying it’s something that i’ve seen happen a lot after people have very good wolf games. i’m not saying it’s good, but it still happens
Unfortunately yes, it's happening.

I think my Poe would be Al, Falcon, KZA (i rescind TR after i saw the Marmot interaction), and probably Bo (not for drunk/fake drunk posting) for team Marmot.
I think Alison has wolf equity and probably I don't trust SPF and Odd. In this group i think is at least one mafia. For team 2 we can fill with people who are not active, like Dom, but his lynch doesn't bring anything, or with people on the middle/nullish part of everyone's reads.
I still don't understand why a CFD on Dom wasn't discussed until now at all.
What does CFD mean?

I think we still have a strong suspect in Al but I’m definitely on board with getting rid of Dom too.
I come from a time where you had to be alive at the end to win, so I have a lot of residual hatred for players being kept alive who don’t play.

:sigh:

Exactly. No one had work in the morning, so why wasn’t everybody in the thread doing heavy analysis?
Some people do work weekends. I mean not me lol and to be honest I don’t think I know what anyone does for work here really

I planned on looking at the thread more, but it was already late and I fell asleep on the couch

here’s the game: https://www.mafiathesyndicate.com/viewt ... =27&t=2055

jay ran it

boknows, falcon, kza, esooa, mac, spf, sloonei, nook, alison and lc were all in it
That’s a lot of the same people. Worth considering I guess, but I’m not sure I’d trust paranoia as an excuse there anyways. It’s ok to be wary of someone for a previous good performance, but I don’t think that’s a good excuse for voting for them.

that's just ridiculous

if their win cons don't align yet one person shares teams it would make no sense and just be way too confusing

if the win cons do align and then know eachother it's functionally not different teams
yeah, it’s not a thing
Recruitments used to be a big thing back in the day. So I’ve seen it happen before where one team recruited a player that was a member of another team. But the recruited players win condition changed. I’ve never seen a shared player as described and I also don’t understand how that would work.

I don’t care about the drunk posting. I thought it what funny, but it means nothing. Might as well be considered off topic chatter for all I’m concerned.

I took some time off and since have spent the majority of my mafia time responding to others (mostly sloonei iirc) and had very little time for reacting to others cases. I’ll try and find them today, or if there are any specific parts you would like for me to read/address you can always bring them to my attention by quoting.

To be fair, Tony didn't do himself many favors.
tony was playing the way he does every game. i honestly never understood why he was public enemy number #1 and i think lunching him over al was pretty bad but hindsight is 20/20
I’ve never played with Tony before, so I had no comparison.
Is there anyone who you think should have “known better” or any reason to think someone who voted him wasn’t genuine in their suspicion?

Thank you.

I just looked. I thought I was on to something about a save, but none of the voters match up. So scratch this post and the last one.
