All the time @Long Con. We probably will stay in London a few more years then move over to the states. Keys dreams of the west coast, but I’d like to go home to NY for a bit. I want my kids to know their cousins!

Oh I remember that game, although I can remember the theme. I used to like to try and create more of a challenge by going after whoever I thought was the best player that game. It wasn’t the best strategy to win, but it made the game more interesting to me.Long Con wrote: ↑Fri Apr 17, 2020 3:17 pmI still remember a particular game where you were Mafia and I was Civ, and we went at it in the thread fiercely! Hey everyone! Long time no talking to. My husband is playing a video game and I am bored. I thought I’d stop by since it has been a while and check in with those I don’t keep in touch with via social media. (Hi juliets! and others it will take too long to list) Life has been crazy. I was working a ton, but had to quit that as it was getting to be too much. Now it’s a different sort of crazy as we prepare for our first child. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy holidays!

I'll create a fitness thread in the morning.
Elo - I used to crochet as a child/teen, but haven't in years. I'm hoping to revisit that this year as well. It's a shame you can't really win your wrists
I may need to pick your brain if I get stuck in my quest to learn how to cross stitch. I think I'm doing pretty good though. I just started and here is where I am:

I'm the same way. I'm older, but more fit then ever! Since I quit drinking and started working out in 2012 I think I've lost about 50 lbs. I've been at my goal weight for a while, but am getting more serious about toning. I've been thinking about creating a fitness type thread, so I (and hopefully others) can talk about working out and stuff.Elohcin wrote:I'm getting old too quickly. Re: Random~
I was in World History class. I remember little about that day other then when it was announced I didn't realize at the time how serious it was. (mainly because I remember being annoyed at some chick's overthetop reaction.) I don't think we had TV's or anything playing except one in the Gym. I think the teachers mainly wanted us to try to go on with the day. I do remember that I had to go to work still after school and the restaurant I worked at was so slow.
Outside the US people likely will remember it as well. keys and I have had this discussion before and he remembered everything. Perhaps even better then me.

Re: Random~
Actually they don't. Laws here don't merely suggest they ride on the road, its required. And I have no problem with that if they follow the rules of the road. But I am almost hit weekly by a cyclist running a red light. And then the same cyclists ride up on the pavement and almost hit me there too.Metalmarsh89 wrote:Well they kinda do. The law suggests that they ride on the road, especially if there are no bike lanes or shoulders. But also, cops don't pull them over for running stop signs or red lights. So yes cyclists take advantage of this (I do too, but with safety in mind), but cities aren't currently set up for cyclists to get where they need to, so for now, that is the only option.fingersplints wrote:We have many here and the majority of them think they should have the rights of both a car and a pedestrian.
But the more bikers there are, the less congestion from automobiles there will be, theoretically.

We have already had two cyclists fatalities this year in London. I don't think I am wrong when I say that they should be more careful

I HATE cyclists. We have many here and the majority of them think they should have the rights of both a car and a pedestrian.
I think that cyclists should have to take a test to be allowed to ride out on the street with cars. (Maybe not all places, but definitely here and in other major cities) I don't think some people realize how dangerous it is.
We are getting some new cycle highways though, so maybe I will revisit cycling in 2016.

I think it would be fun. Doesn't half the time the onesie go under other clothes? and get all sorts of poop and food on it? Chances are it will get stained/ruined eventually anyways, and if the mother really hates it she can always just choose another or put other clothes over it. I'm all for geeky shirts and such though and have no kids so I might not be the best person to askS~V~S wrote:Just one though.
OK, my stepsister is having a baby, a boy. she has two daughters. I saw a onesie that says "valonqar" on it. In GOT, the valonqar is the little brother prophesied to kill his sister (Cercei). The Dad watches/reads GOT, sissy does not.
Would this be a fun geeky baby gift, or would it be really tactless? Sometimes I have issues telling the difference.

Out of curiousity, how long have they been a part of the family? keys recently had a similar issue with his aunt and cousins taking everything of his grandparents, so I know he'd feel you and your brothers pain. I hate greediness. Especially in a situation like this because it should be about wanting a memento to remember by not about wanting it for the monetary value.
My siblings and cousins were probably mad at me when my grandmother died I got her favorite jewelry and I am one of the youngest, but I also took care of her.
