Later on Golden would tell me I was not able to copy a mafia nightkill, so sig apparently died by some other circumstances (I chose him as my target because I figured he was the least likely player to be killed that night), but I assumed I had done it and caught scum in the process.
I did kill INH and nutella though. Assist to Blooper on that one. Her 1-shot role eliminated three baddies.

I have not much time, but I’ve expressed my thoughts on Sloonei’s behavior, regardless of how incongruous my suspicions may be with whatever team killed, etc. Behavior is behavior. Aubergine Sloonei.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 13
Yeah, it's the part when he says "in that case" that makes me think he's talking specifically about sprit, not about the game as a whole. As for what I think about sprit, I'm still egregiously behind. What makes me raise an eyebrow more than anything, as in my last post, is Sloonei's brushing aside of his behavior/role. That's weird. I need to read your and Daisy's linki reasoning for voting sprit.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 13
This reminds me of what you were saying about Wilgy, when people were suspecting him (namely, Daisy) because of his behavior, and you took his word when he floundered about throwing shit at me and others. It looks like silencing conversation, despite your reasoning above. And didn't you just say it could be a clever ploy? I mean, granted, sprit's reaction to it with laughter makes me think that, no, it's probably not, but...you just said it could be.Sloonei wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 12:33 pmI don't think you are understanding me correctly. I feel good about sprit because of the attitude that I see in his posts. However, I don't think it's a subject that can be discussed much further because of the rules. I'm not saying to ignore him. I'm saying this is a tricky gray area and I don't want the tread to spiral into one big rules violation.S~V~S wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 12:10 pmSo you suggest we just ignore any thoughts we might entertain about him being bad because he dropped a menacing role hint. Am I reading you correctly? He made an info dump, so it's hands off?Sloonei wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 11:57 amI think his attitude toward his new role reflecte genuine frustration at what he perceives to be an unhelpful ability. This is not something we should probe further into, as it already feels like we're toeing the line for infodumping. If this is just a clever ploy to emotionally manipulate us into not voting for him the it's vert crafty and I'll never trust sprit again. I don't think it is.S~V~S wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 8:10 pmReally? I don't know exactly what your point was but YOU do. There must be some reason behind going all drama like that.
Can you explain why not? In a way that doesn't also exclude suspicion of others? Because your reasons before were very vague and could apply to several people. What abóut sprit appeals to you to make you feel he is town?
Because role hints make me want to lynch people more, not less. Especially in light of this:
Repeatedly telling us he has a bastard role in in violation of rules already, is it not?5) You may not post PMs from the hosts. You may not do anything which could amount to info dumping. If you are not sure whether or not something would be considered info dumping, err on the side of caution and PM to ask first. Specific things you may not do include revealing anything about your role, including the game it is derived from, the name of the role or any win condition. The only thing you may claim from your role (truthfully or otherwise) is your affiliation. Punishments, including modkills, are reserved for breaches of this rule.
I also fail to see why this behavior would make him suspicious.
Yuck on this reasoning. I know we have a limited pool, but your reasoning for suspecting cbob at least looks more plausible than "he has an extra life":Sloonei wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 12:00 pmI don't have an argument for that. He has not been active in a thread with any known Evens at any point in this game. I don't have an argument against it either. I'm primarily voting for him because he's the only player on the poll who won't ge removed from the game if we lynch him today. I also feel his argument for not being scum is the weakest, but I would not be voting for him today if the poll was full.
This I can agree with. He brushes off his non-votes for Wilgy with explanations like "he was already down" and whatnot. Twice he avoids Wilgy, at least. Maybe I'm missing a deeper mechanic, but that doesn't look good. I also think it's hella weird that, despite clearly acknowledging and posting about my townflip, he calls me a "strong town read" more than once, including a post about my not being Strex because I was killed by Strex N1. Maybe he's being funny, but it's really odd and looks like actual conjecture, especially when putting me in a list with others and why not to vote them.Sloonei wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 1:33 pm cbob and boomslang are the only people on this poll I'm considering, still. I see some evidence that bob may be strex, but not even. I have no strong reason to town read boomslang, though there is compelling evidence for him not being Strex.
colonialbob avoided discussing both lorab and wilgy when they were on the chopping block. He even pursued suspects (INH & Boomslang) based on their treatment of wilgy. This behavior stands out when looking back through his posts, and he's defended himself a bit already. But it's the most substantive thing I can pull out for discussion from his posts. It's never clear how he felt about wilgy (or lorab), but it is clear he didn't like the way certan people went after wilgy.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 13
Hmm. I think I read that response about the flips differently - I figured he was discussing that particular case with sprit, not the whole mechanic of the game - I don't think he's misunderstanding the mechanics. But I could be wrong. He won't be able to answer tonight, alas, because he has gone to the land of the hippies for the evening. (For serious lol - 45 minutes down the road, in the woods, no phone reception. It's a great time.)S~V~S wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 5:43 pm @nijuukyugou, this one. Where he basically says a bunch of things that aren't true to justify a vote for someone. His first 2 points are refuted by the host in the host rules. He was * in the thread* when I pointed this out(i caught him in Linki), did not reply to me, did not change his vote or even say he would look into it.
Boomslang wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 9:58 pmAgreed 100%. I'm also very skeptical of the whole civ-to-mafia flip thing given that alignments are only revealed after second death. Why would flipping after first death make any sense to include as a mechanic in that case, especially with the already unusual length of this game?
But enough about conjectures. It's a difference of opinion, but I don't like Cbob calling this flip theory "reasonable." Scotty pulls good info on a cbob-Lorab connection as well.
SVS's response to spirit's defense feels like civ-on-civ perspective disagreement, too. There's too much passion to be mafia calculation.
Going to park my aubergine on Vote colonialbob for now.
I'm going to try to recover what I had in my stupid lost post regarding cbob. Stand by.

I'm going to catch up as much as I can, but I don't think I'm going to be able to get the deeper mechanics of speculation that this thread has put out. I've allowed myself to stray too far behind in this game this week with travel and apathy, and I don't think I'm going to get to a good, solid knowledge point, but I'll give it a shot. Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 12
Seriously, that was quick. The run-down of my posts, pre-NK:
I made bad haikus.
I expressed frustration at Sloonei's frustration with the speed of the thread. I disagree with not bothering to vote because of the haiku mechanic. I say my usual "Day 1 sucks I'll vote a non-poster before a poster" spiel.
I comment on sig, without much conviction. I like Daisy's comment about INH and agree. I vote Jackofhearts for not posting in the GoC Day 1.
Bewbs.
I respond to sig's question about mechanics - those who are bad, stay bad after death. (Now I realize, wait. sig was unaware of this mechanic explained in the rules, yet seemed to immediately realize that our lynches weren't going through because of being beaten by votes in Pikachu tribe? )
Jackofhearts does not like my vote for him Day 1. I respond with my explanation, essentially the same as my explanation from the time I voted.
Conclusions? Either someone doesn't like bewbs (and for that, they should be found and lynched heartily!), or someone didn't like my participation (content or quantity. I feel like I was more talkative and paying more attention during this game than I have in several past games (at least at the beginning). I'm not the greatest mafia player by any means, but I have good deduction when I'm paying attention. That's probably tooting my own horn too much, but hey, possibility. I'm thinking that whoever killed me has either played with me in games where I was decent (this is less likely, especially given the double-life mechanic), or hasn't played with me much at all.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 12
I haven't gone back (mostly because I feel like I'm juggling rabid monkeys right now in life), but I'm going to do that now. My ISO is easy to catch up on.S~V~S wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 6:17 am Also, if it was a baddie reveal it would likely work like Nutellas role for the evens, so if she was targeted by the Strex baddies corresponding role, and it flipped her role, it would make her the Cerberus Even, which, in conjunction with Nutellas and Nijus original roles, would be very pointless and odd, having them be BTSC mates 2x.
So I think it very likely to have been a true reveal. I find it more likely that someone either suspected, or didn't suspect, Niju and wanted it out in the thread, not dissimilar to Chucks reveal.
Also I would doubt duplicate baddie roles based on the baddie roles we have seen so far.
So Imma take this one at face value.
This is where we come back to Epis early game discussion, who would kill Niju on Day one? It was Strex, she was civ, she was not a super obvious target. Assuming they had intertribe BTSC, which I think super likely based on the last post or so LC made, it could be someone on either tribe we are looking for as potentially the third Strex. Unless we think Pikachu was a Strex free zone.
I don't recall his decision making process last time Marmot and I were bad together; are he and Wilgy precision killers, they kill for a reason, or are they more random? I know Marmot has killed for lulz in the past. So not sure if a third member could be inferred from who they killed.
In Cerberus, they killed Niju, Jack and sig. Then they killed Sprit in Pikachu, right? And they DID kill DH twice. That is kind of weird. It makes me want to reread DH since the merge, since they were so desperate to kill DH they killed him twice, I would think if one of them had been in Pikachu, they might have killed him before the double kill.
I plan to reread DH since the merge, and then see who it makes me look towards. I have a name or two in mind. I also want to read Nijus interactions day i. When I asked her in Cerberus who she thinks may have killed her she said:
@nijuukyugou~ did you even think about what you might have said to draw that kill?Re: Cerberus Tribe - Day 8
#1473 Post by nijuukyugou » Fri Mar 16, 2018 11:21:11 pm
I’ve thought about it, mostly from the perspective of Booms taking suspicion the day after and my thinking that, although it’s not unthinkable with multiple lives, I’d not imagine he’d have killed me Night 1. I have not been obsessive about it, but I’ve thought (and I think voiced - I say “think” because I’m tipsy and phone-posting so I’m not ISO’ing myself immediately) that it was weird, as I very rarely get NK’ed Night 1. Either someone was afraid of something I said (doubtful, but hey, maybe) or a team doesn’t know me? It is a different monster for sure with two lives.
Okay gonna stop rambling and socialize with our guest and watch basketball.
And I am concentrating on Strex becasue I think with that kill pattern, they will be easier to figure out. If someone thinks they might be able to decipher the Even that was in Cerberus that way, it's worth a shot.

Okay Scotty, your post code is all kinds of messed up for quoting, but I'm responding to your request for who pings me. As I'm chopping potatoes for a bangin' potato leek soup, I'm thinking more on why Sloonei has been pinging me, and why I inquired days ago about others' opinions of him. Now that Wilgy has flipped bad, it makes one of the earlier interactions I had with the two more suspicious than ever. This goes without thoroughly reading what's happened since, but it's bugging me to no end. Let's try spoiler'ing this:

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Night 11
I'll have to massively catch up, methinks, before giving that (or anything) a thoughtful response. It's the last week before spring break at a high school, so it's been hellishly busy and draining on my end. Bear with me, y'all.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 11
Let’s try this again.
No I haven’t caught up.
Yes I said that last time.
Why yes, I did literally just remember that I was playing this. This week is already hella busy/exhausting and it’s TUESDAY.
Yes I’m aubergine’ing Wilgy. That last lunch was a shitshow.

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 10
Because I’m reading this on a phone and drunk from shower shenanigans. I have no computer right now and none until tomorrow. I have read about five peoples posts (six now) and have more motivation to eat sushi right now than read more stuff on a tiny screen. Real talk.S~V~S wrote: ↑Sun Mar 25, 2018 9:56 amI am curiousnijuukyugou wrote: ↑Sun Mar 25, 2018 9:51 am Quick post (because I’m seriously doubtful I’ll be back before deadline with the day’s events here). Gonna aubergine Wilgy because of that role descriptor. Will catch up later (I’m trying to do bits by phone when I have time) when I’m on a computer.
My role sounds much worse than his
Why no vote for me?
Are you voting for
Wilgy ONLY for the role
Description? Or why?
If only for the
Role Description you look bad
for that vote reason

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 10
Hey all! Sorry for the lack of activity - I’m checking in to say we’ve gone out of town (to Cincy, woo!) to be showered with gifts of the wedding sort (double woo!) so my play will be even...less active, as I’m on a phone and busy af. I’ll check as I can.

Good to see you in the same thread again!Epignosis wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 10:16 pmI would have to be Jesus for you to believe I'm a civilian, and even then, you would crucify me. Which team do you think Epi and Chuck are on? Surely not LC's team, since Nutella could not flip a teammates reveal.
So DH and Scotty, you think Epi and Chuck are Marmots teammates?

Re: Game of Champions 2017 - Day 9
I'm reading this thread, albeit slowly, as stuff has started to pick up before spring break/grading period ends (ughhhhhhh). I have no intention of digging into Pikachu thread, when I so thoroughly enjoyed the quiet of Cerberus.
I see many a vote on Wilgy. I suspected and voted Wilgy a while back, a lot because I thought his response with some whole silencer mess was floundery, so this is understandable and I will likely follow suit. I also didn't like Sloonei's easy acceptance of the explanation Wilgy gave. Actually, I'm still itchy from that interaction, too. Like I said, I'm still reading this thread (thankfully there are only 5 pages), and sorry but not reading Pikachu (I'll be happy to read specific things pointed out/quoted, but I ain't slogging through 66 pages), but what do people think of Sloonei? SVS was looking at him with some suspicion in Cerberus for various reasons (e.g., not reporting some things from his observer status in Pikachu, people's easy vote for him to do so, his quick assumption that we weren't lynching because of lack of votes, etc.). Both of them make me itch. I'll go ahead and aubergine Wilgy for now, but for Wilgy's sake, I will also read what others' explanations are for voting him.
Those are thoughts that happened. I kinda didn't expect my post to go there, but it did. So there.
