Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2

I'm sorry but people's reasons for voting for you don't come down to "Nothing." That's not summarizing anything, that's shrugging it off.

My point here is that you've taken a very clear stance in this game. You have a finger pointed at me. But you're not doing anything about it. You're not doing anything about anything. You're not listening to people, you're not responding to most of them, and when you do it's usually just being dismissive.

So you justified to Roxy your vote to juliets. But from what I can tell, her problem with you is pretty much the same as mine. You're not trying to work with the thread. You're just expecting us to trust you and do as you say.

Linki with Enri, I'm not saying you ignored to address it, sorry, I am just saying you were acting like he was just shrugging stuff off when he has addressed your concern that he's not JUST saying "Enri is bad" but he has given a reason. If that makes sense.

That's not what his post said.

In fact, most of the votes against him are pretty crappy reasons. He already stated why he was suspicious of you, yet you continue to ignore it.
I... haven't ignored it. For one second. I have addressed it many many times. But how often has he addressed any post about him? It's like he's not even trying. What thread have you been reading that you accuse me of ignoring the couple of posts where he gives any reason?

Fair enough. I still wanted to point out that I see nothing wrong with her post.

Alex, do you have any idea whether Epig is bad or not? Let's put it like this. There's some people I trust and agree with more than others. This is the post you're looking at:
Yes, that is exactly what I'm saying. I have no idea if he's bad or not, but he doesn't seem to be acting too differently from his normal self. I defended him because I thought MP's attack of him was a bit uncalled for.
So I don't get it. She's obviously defending me because she thinks I'm good. She expresses clearly right there that she thinks I'm acting like my normal self. How is that too different to saying she thinks I'm a civ?

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2

I usually see eye to eye with Dana and look at her as civvie, but I don't really agree with the way she worded her last post. I know her very well, I agree with most of her opinions so far in this game, yes, but we're not playing favorites.

I actually find it kind of funny that she said I'm not "acting too differently from my normal self." We played once together and throughout the whole game she kept saying I read like a different person in Mafia than on IRC or anywhere outside of it :p I was civvie for the first half of that game and bad for the second (life was too short :(), so I'd rather Dana defend me because she agrees with my views than because of my meta, which doesn't really say a lot. Fortunately I think she does :)

Linki, omg seriously you are ridiculous and stretching. I am a civ, and that will apparent. A Seemer role would never try to be my role.

Linki Enrique, that is NOT all to my explanation.
Hey, I'm defending you. Here is what you said:
Ok, that whole freaking night conversation went nutty after I voted. Which I don't think I commented on my planet vote so I will now. I don't know jack about Dr. Who. And no one had voted for Azure, so I thought, "what the heck, why not toss a vote there?" And I did. The end.
How do you want me to interpret it? It seems like a throwaway vote, but the fact remains that your option almost won for very little reason. Maybe replace the reason I gave in my post with "Throwaway vote" and it doesn't really make a difference.

If we do lynch Epig, and he flips bad, I'm gonna be giving Bass a closer look (I mean, not that I couldn't already recite the basic gist of all his posts so far :p). Is no one else seriously pinged by that whole "I'm considering voting for him, but he seems like his usual self" thing? It looks like distancing to me.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2

I'm still wanting to take a look at the Azure voters, to be honest, that whole thing just really didn't sit right with me.

Spacedaisy (8), Dom (9), sabie12 (10), Elohcin (11), Bullzeye (13), Bass_the_Clever (14), Mister Rearranger (17) 30%

Daisy
The case against her hasn't really convinced me and I'm not close to being ready to vote for her. She's also in the block of people who voted for both Azure and juliets. I also noticed she hasn't made any posts since that one that's getting quoted around a lot, but she's reading the thread now. Looking forward to hearing more from her. Her reason for voting Azure? "It didn't have any votes yet."

Dom
Out of the Azure voters I think I suspect him the most. Other people have defended it, but I still think that whole random vote change was super bizarre. If you don't care what option wins and you're just voting for the sake of voting, and if he was in such a rush or whatever, I just find it really strange to actually go and change your vote according to a randomizer. His reason for voting Azure? "Random."

Sabie
One of the block that voted for both Azure and juliets. There was some talk about her earlier, but then she made a post or two and people seemed satisfied. Honestly I don't think she's been around as much as it's been made out, so I'm surprised talk about her got dropped so quickly in favor of Elo or whoever. She defends her vote by saying that at least she voted, but I don't know, sometimes I'd rather people didn't vote than vote to push an agenda! Her reason for voting Azure? "It's a nice blue color."

Eloh
This one's really interesting. I understand the whole not having time to be super involved in the game. Doesn't make her good. She's also in the juliets/Azure voting block, which she has explained as just "going with the flow." Some pretty WIFOMy responses. "If I were bad, I would totally active." But what about the time concerns? Her reason for voting Azure? No explanation at first, but after some questioning, "Going with the flow."

Bullz
Sad to hear he's thinking of dropping out. Going over his posts he seems very rational, and I find myself agreeing with a lot of his points especially re: Dom. I don't feel too bad about him, although he is also in the Azure/juliets block. His reasons for for voting juliets makes sense to me, so I don't want to fault him for that, but there's so many people with this voting pattern it's hard to see as a coincidence. Leaning civvie to be honest, but we'll see. His reason for voting Azure? "Random."

Bass
Has only made a handful of posts since the game started, none of them since Night 1. Is it possible that he was silenced? Either way, quiet dude. He at least didn't vote for juliets, so there's that. Summary of his posts so far: 1) Voting 9 because it's my favorite number. 2) Epig watchoo talkin bout? 3) I have to catch up. 4) Voting for Enrique because out of him and juliets he's pinged me the most. 5) Voted Azure because it's blue.

So yeah... 3/5 of his posts are vote explanations, one is stating that he has to catch up, and the remaining one is basically just asking Epig what specific back and forth he was talking about. Practical non-entity so far in this game. His reason for voting Azure? "It's blue."

MR
Dead, so I don't know if he's really worth discussing. Not that there's a lot to say. He voted Azure without any kind of explanation, SVS called him out on it, still didn't show up. Night killed so yeah. He voted for himself on Day 1 as to not commit to a zeek vote, disappeared afterwards. His reason for voting Azure? None given.

I really feel there was something going on here. Azure had no reason to get as many votes as it did, yet it almost won the poll. 4/7 of the voters also voted for juliets on Day 1, another voted for himself, and another hasn't done anything except vote. I started out saying that I suspected Dom the most, but going over their posts has also made me wonder about Sabie and Eloh. Not sure where my vote is going yet.

linki- Yeah, I find myself agreeing a lot with Dana so far. Good. I introduced her to Mafia and I'm glad we can see eye to eye. I think she's probably a civ, in which case, yes, we'd be on the same team. I do not have BTSC with her.

I'm also OK with Daisy's responses, but I suppose MP would know her better. Still don't think I'm voting there.

linki2- Oh there, look who showed up! Bass, I really wouldn't say I've defended Made at any point. He's really hard to read, and I don't really have any reason to think that he's bad, but I'm all ears if somebody can make a compelling case against him. I know I don't really trust Epig, though. If Epig seems like his normal self to you then why are you considering voting for him?

holy fuck stop it with the linkitis i want to post

Yeah, I'm not really seeing the SD thing. I actually agree with most of the points she makes in that post; maybe not so much the MP vs SVS thing, since that's obviously something you guys would want to work on, but she's not wrong about how all the blind trust in the last poll was so concerning or DF throwing away his vote as a fan of the show. I don't feel like she was throwing shit hoping for it to stick, but she made some observations that she felt were worth sharing.

SVS, it was more the whole being accused for not having info thing that did it for me. I didn't vote the way zeek wanted me to at first and in his mind that immediately meant I was bad. Yeah, I got very frustrated from that, but I'm over it. We don't know what happened yet but I do know that in retrospect I agree with Alzarius being chosen.

I hadn't really been looking at Daisy other than being one of the Azure voters, but since I was gonna go over MP's posts anyway I'll see if any of his arguments really stick out.

Oh, and re: Made. I hoped catching up on the last few cases would give me some clarity regarding the case on him, but I'm still not completely sure what it is? He is a lot more subdued in this game than in either MP or Misfits (no clue about Felt), that is true. It's possible that he just learned his lesson from being lynched as a civvie so much, but I also know Made is a totally insane player and he just plays however he wants :p There's a few people I'd prefer to see lynched today at least, but I am very interested to see how Made reacts to all this attention.

Roxy, Made, LC and I have all called you out in one way or another, but you're just... not responding. You've been extremely uninvolved this whole day phase, and like LC said, it's almost like you're hiding in plain sight. You've taken certain stances, and people know them, but you're not doing anything to push them or get involved in the play.

Elo and Snow Dog are confusing me this game. Both are lacking a loot of conviction; Snow Dog switching his votes around with very little explanation and Elo just admitting to going with the flow and immediately jumping into WIFOM territory. I don't think I would oppose either lynch tbh.

Bea, BWT, you guys are doing an amazing job at hosting this game. Has seriously got me wanting to watch Doctor Who, which I never thought would happen :p And Bea, sorry about your death in Monty Python! I'm seriously impressed with the baddies in that game.

But how does that make Epig bad? You never explain that, so no one's really "giving him a pass". You even admit that it's maybe just your playstyles don't mesh. So... I look forward to hearing more.
What I'm trying to say is, from my own point of view he'd be suspicious as hell. I don't blame him for the juliets lynch since I was pretty confident in that too, but the way he's playing so bluntly making one line per post usually stating "I think x is bad" without further elaboration, not caring to address posts about him / directed at him, plus his stubbornness and refusing to listen to anyone after he's made up his mind. What gives me pause is that people don't make anything of it and just let him slide by. This is only the second time I play with him, and in the last game he died super early, so I assume this isn't all that different to normal Epig... but I don't get it, and to me, it's suspicious. And tbh I have nothing better to go on.

Dom has pinged me a couple of times, but I also haven't played with him in so long that I can't tell his civ and baddie games apart. Out of the two I'd still vote for Epig.

Because I'm good. Honestly, I don't know what more can I say. You're not exactly pressing many arguments against me, and I have addressed the ones that you have. One liners that say nothing but "I think x is bad" or "I don't think x is bad" while neglecting most of the going-ons in the thread aren't really doing a lot for discussion. So yeah, I don't know how you want me to respond anymore  You shouldn't vote for me because you don't want a civvie lynched. But as far as I can tell you've had your mind made up for a while and nothing that I say will change that.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2

No, Dom, I was saying that Azure got plenty of votes that it didn't really have a reason for.

To be fair, nobody had a good reason for their night poll votes, even the Alzarius (I think I spelled it right this time) voters. zeek might be the one exception. The pattern I think is the only peculiar bit, and Dom's 'random' vote.

Oh and let's not forget about that poor bastard who wanted to go to Arkheon all by himself. :haha:
Most of the votes at least I think were somewhat thought out. People voted Alzarius because they thought it was the safest, or nicest, even being pressured is a reason. I never saw any info about Azure other than "it's blue." I don't think it's fair nobody had any reason for voting like they did, when we were supposed to be looking for civvie benefits. If somebody voted for Azure and explained it as they didn't want to fall for zeek's manipulation, I would have taken that as a reason, but in reality all of the votes were random or throw aways. Nobody actually seemed to care about Azure, but they almost won anyway.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Day 2

I don't think zeek is bad, just really stubborn. He's dedicated, I admire that, but he was a little too pushy on the poll yesterday and honestly that got on my nerves a bit. You're cool, zeek, dw. If all we know about Alzarius is that one of the Doctor's companions came from there, how bad can it be?

Now, I'm wary of all the people who voted Azure without much of an explanation. Most of them sneak-voters, a whole group of them that also consecutively drive-by voted for juliets. Bullz seems pretty genuine to me, and I have no problem with his votes, but I'd like to hear from the rest.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia! - Night 1

Went ahead and changed my vote.

I'm not liking the pack of Azure sneak-voters.

Well good thing option 1 is definitely not winning then.
Please continue to endanger us.
Well shit, I changed my vote, what more do you want?
I'll vote Arkheon with you? What say you?
idrc. I'm not gonna vote Azure just to be an asshole and fuck with zeek, but he may just be playing me to vote for his option so I'm passing on that too. Doing my best to stay out of this bs. I'm leaving this to the educated majority who have a clue about these planets in the context of the series.

I definitely don't want option 1 to win tho lol. I'll just go with whatever has the least votes in the end I guess.
