You remind of two knuckleheads in a cartoon doing something stupid that backfires, and the minute it does backfire, one knucklehead turns to the other and blames him, even though it was the first knucklehead's idea.

I've suspected DF for a while now, so if people want to vote him, that's fine with me. I'm sticking with Bass because I think the most likely scenario is that he's bad and was saved via lynch switch.

SVS MP and I voted Bass early to save DF? I'm the one who has been bringing up DF, now I want to save him? Chris you are bonkers.

I agree that Bass has to go. I think the switch was used to save him. There is a slim chance that he's a civ and it was used by a third party, but that seems really unlikely to me. Lynch switches are basically a free life if you or a teammate is about to be lynched, why waste it saving a civilian?

Where is Bass, anyway? Has he posted? Seems pretty guilty to me, but idk his rl circumstances, could be genuinely busy.

MP7, one word on DF? Cautious. The longer a player goes with their cards close to their chest, the more I suspect they have something to hide. Civilians are easier to identify when they let it all hang out. Notice how DF doesn't give his thoughts on the NKs, or gives us his current suspects, or indeed any speculation. He's here to defend himself and that's it.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 10

I think it's worth noting that it seems Strax did not target DFaraday. TH pointed out that his insanifier was redirected. While that could have been a secret role, it could have also been The Master's once-a-game redirect-everything power, which would mean DF wasn't Strax's original target.

The fact that he survived Strax's kill still remains, however.

DF, I want to hear a lot more from you. You're currently one of my top suspects. Who are your top suspects? I want to know what you're thinking. A penny for your thoughts, DF.

2) I remember a time when multiple consecutive posts were looked down upon. How about a bit of ettiqutte? I said this to MP earlier in the game; things get to the stage where you're posting so much that it feels like you're hijacking the thread, y'know? This is a group experience.

For the record, I don't need pm's form anyone for me to decide that maybe players are being agressive and need to cool off. Even when two players are engaged in some name calling that THEY BOTH ARE OK WITH, (and yes I've seen that happen) it still tends to create a hostile environment for other players not involved in the situation. I, as a player, feel uncomfortable posting in places that feel hostile and I work VERY hard to create a welcoming environment full of fun for ALL my players. (There's a reason I never played on sites like MafiaScum.)

Basically my point is, I ask people to tone it down as a host, if it would have made me feel uncomfortable if I were playing, NOT because someone made me do it.

You don't seem to be considering the possibility that whoever switched the lynch wanted MP to look bad.

You should check out these things called conspiracy theories. You'd like conspiracy theories. Did you know that when man landed on the moon back in 1969, the footage they took on the moon showed no stars in the sky? How freaky is that, right? It's obviously damning evidence that the whole thing was faked in a studio, I don't know why people can't see that.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 9

I think I'm really done. If other people can't see the shit I'm seeing, if I have to explain shit that looks painfully obvious, and no one else is seeing it...
The reason it looks painfully obvious to you, but not to other people, is because you don't see the complete picture. Like I just told you, the doctor voted for TH before SD, which could have easily swayed SD. But no, MP is involved in the switch, too. Even though it is a lot more likely that they were just misguided, and a third party switched the lynch. Plenty of games have roles that switch lynches, and they don't need to have voted for that player to switch it to them, they can switch to any player. It is by no means unprecendented.

See, you ignore possibilities. Snow was going to vote for you, but then he voted for TH. TH dies in lynch switch, so it's apparently damning evidence that SNow Dog is responsible. Oh, and MP. Couldn't SD have simply changed his mind? You're looking at everything in 2D, when it's 3D. Consider other possibilities, for the love of the mafia gods.

I will not defend you again in this game, it's a thankless chore.

I can imagine a scenario in which the mystery recruiter team wanted to switch the lynch from cyber-Bass to good-civvie-TH, to balance the teams, it being easier for them to operate against the civilians with the Cybers still in the picture.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 8

Chris wrote:
In fact, I will eat a hat if Dana or S~V~S are bad. Same with zeek and keys, but to a slightly lesser extent.

Based on thread reads and a process of elimination, I don't really think Gotrees or DFaraday are bad right now either, but with regards to those I could be wrong.

I do think we're on the right track to catch a Cyberman with Sabie's reveal, and the only leads as to The Master which I believe are likely are either Chris or BR, so we need more evidence there, as it could be someone else even. And assuming there is a single recruiter, which I think is likely, I just don't know who it could be, but I think we can get a better idea by pooling all of our information together and eliminating people from the possible pool. However, we might need first need more insight into what kind of recruiter dynamic this person even has; I would assume over the course of 8 nights there will have been more than only Roxy as a recruit, so if only we could find another recruit, that would be nice. Given Sabie was the role checker and some things that have gone down, it is possible we will find a Cyberman who could flip recruited, I think. If so, or even if not, that should give more direction. Thoughts?

This is the line that stuck out to me. I've seen him defend Dana like he is here, but I've never seen him defend SVS or keys like this before.

This is day 8.

I suspect MP was recruited on night 7, the day he was killed. When he came back on day 8, he felt different.

Here's what I think, take it or leave it.

I think SVS is the recruiter. I think she got to recruit on odd nights.

I think she recruited Roxy on day 1. (Makes sense, they're very good friends)

I think she recruited keys on night 3. (I have some slight concern he is The Master based on my theories lining up with The Master killing people who would help the recruiter with end game. Ex: I think Daisy was a Dalek, and Roxy was recruited. In order to get the Dalek kill for the recruiter, Daisy had to be killed. My opinion. Deal with it. I have over evidence of Daisy being bad)

I think she recruited MM on night 5.

And I think, after so much hinting and other evidence, SVS recruited MP, The Doctor, on night 7.

I think there's been a push for keys to come in here and discredit my work on Snow, Bass and Epig, because now that SVS doesn't have the Dalek kill, she wants the CyberMan kill. I think that's why keys came in here saying that my work wasn't what got Sabie. If I'm right, I named the Cyber crew, and the recruiter wants them. Why... its more than just their kill. If the Cyber Head has found the Body ( I think he did) then they've got votes too.

They're setting up their end game. If she has The Master, then she just needs to get the Cyber kill recruited, then have more recruited players than civs, and it's game over.

Oh yeah, The Master killed MP on night 7 knowing that he'd come back, and it would buy MP the best civvie cred ever, allowing him to gain the trust of others to follow his lead.

It's brilliant actually...

And with keys being recruited too... it would certainly explain keys suddenly saying that he knew MP was good after he was killed. It's setting him up to be able to side with MP once he comes back.

I mean, does anyone really believe that keys was keeping the pressure on MP because he KNEW MP was The Doctor, and that keys' suspicion would help keep MP safe??

Lastly, I'm of the hope that recruited players return to their previous win conditions, and have to treat any info gained the same way you'd treat a role check. So I'd like to lynch SVS, not keys or MP. (Unless keys IS The Master)

If not SVS, I want to lynch Bass or Snow Dog.
I'm still a few pages back, but oh man, I had to quote this. Chirs, you are one wacky motherfucker. Fucking wake up and smell the coffee.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 9

TH - my bad! Great catch, man.

As for Snow Dog, I don't have the inside track. I just think I'm seeing misguided civ rather than nefarious maf. Say he's in a team, any team, how is he just now learning who The Doc is? Surely a teammate would have told him?

I leave the door open that he's recruited because anyone could be recruited. We don't have enough infomation on this recruiting business.

Epignosis: ;) More the merrier! Let's give DF a scare..

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 9

Actually, I'm going o hold off from switching my vote to Bass. I'd like to hear if DF has anything to say while the peril of that single vote of mine still hangs over his head.

Long Con wrote:keys, I think she wants you to explain more why you think DF is bad... and something about a cocaine deal gone wrong with Freckles.
Just a gut thing, Jules. DF seems virtually perfect to me, I don't trust perfect players. I've met Freckles, she's cool, I reckon I can get back the ya-yo, for a cut. :haha:
Also, it's worth mentioning that I also thought the Bass claim that he looked into past games and compared their playstyles to be not believable. Like, he had time to do that kind of research across multiple games for two different players, yet he still has only 50 posts in this game. BS alert, most definitely.
Excellent catch, LC! I dare say you're probably right.

*changes vote to Bass*

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 9

Personally I don't think Snow Dog is a Cyber/Master. He's obviously misguided, but I don't think that means he's bad. He could well be recruited, but it remains to be seen how much of a threat, if any, that represents to us.

MP7 - if your feelings on DF are purely gut-based (i.e. you cannot explicitly vouch for him) I'm moving my vote back thataways, since my gut says different.

Faraday surviving a Strax kill makes me less inclined to suspect him rather than more. He does seem a bit blendier than is usual even for him, though, so maybe he needs a reread.

Tomorrow, since I am out for the night :)

xox happy mafia players
It read to me that Strax's kill failed, not that DF survived it.
Is that a distinction the hosts would make in a night post?

Oh Hosts: is there game info to be interpreted in the wording of your night posts?

MP, I'd like a little more reassurance re: DF, if it's not too much trouble.

Bah! I battled to stop people lynching you! I'm trying to get you to see some sort of reason before you find yourself right back there! Before you get civilians killed! Damned fool, be hanged! :haha:

I'm not sure of Epignosis's innocence, no. Or Chris, for that matter. But I'm as confident as one can be without hard info.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 9

Epignosis, Chris, stop it, lol. Both of you are civs, neither of you are Matthew freaking McConaughey. Rejoin the civilian cause, we can win this.
