I don't think I've ever posted 300+ times in a game before. I would imagine this game broke quite a few posting records.

FWIW, I don't consider your takedown entirely legal. The info dump was cheap and not even necesary; their win was inevitable.Dom wrote:I would like to think I would've gotten away with it, too if it wasn't for those meddling recruiters...keys56000000000 wrote:Splints' Bitch. To borrow a footbaling term, Hedgeowl is my man-of-the-match. I think she could have rode that performance to a mexican standoff and come out on top. There was literally nothing to quote with which to make a case on. I remember looking at her posts, dumbfounded, thinking she was a genius. Some Walter White shit right there, Hedgeowl, a very well done.
Also Dom was fantastic. He was our hide-in-plain-sight star this game.
In a game full of ironies, I find it especially amusing that Chris was right. He was totally right. But there was unpleasantness and now he's banned and can't talk about it. Oh well.

If you and Bass had gotten Hedge lynched immediately, that also could have changed some things.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12
Well at the least, you had more info than I did, were in a position to make a more informed guess having a bunch of potential suspects accounted for, and I was running under the assumption that you were unrecruitable and thus 100% trustworthy, so I can't help but feel like this is adding insult to the injury of how ludicrous this game was, but ok. Signature/rank, your choice.MovingPictures07 wrote:Ah, good counterpoint, but untrue! At the time I made the bet it was actually still totally conjecture. Snowy didn't get recruited until N12 and we didn't have Epig at that time either since we nabbed him after N10.keys56000000000 wrote:I don't think that sigbet was valid, you knew he was bad.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12
Haha, that's ok. All the evidence pointed to you, I just didn't want to believe it. I underestimated your intelligence and for that I'm sorry. It was only when you asked me not to defend you anymore that I started to doubt myself, started thinking you were feeling sorry for me for being wrong, lol!Snow Dog wrote:Keys i am so sorry I was cyber after you defended me so much. I wanted to be civ so much then.

In the end I'm more pleased than displeased with my instincts. I knew there was something off about Juliets and Gotrees, who seemed to be cruising in the background, unexplained and unchallenged. Hedgeowl, who was playing a perfect, unquestionable game, had to be hiding something. I'm sure I even detected a change in MP, from working with me to humouring me, but I didn't want to believe it, because I considered it impossible. Note to self: make less assumptions, trust instincts more.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Night 12
Alright, fair enough. I'm just saying, in case it wasn't clear, that it is not unreasonable at all to be frustrated. I myself am frustrated. I had fun, a lot of fun, but there's definitely a niggling sense that it was unfair. I can't help but wonder how you yourself would feel, given the amount of time and energy you put into this game, especially when you should have been putting it into your PhD, if at this stage it was revealed that you never had a chance, and that it was all futile. And in defense of Chris, I feel partly responsible for this situation, because I did goad him throughout the game. But yeah, I can't condone anything he's said to you guys.

I hear there has been some nastiness behind the scenes and that Chris has been subsequently banned? I don't know what's been said and I'm not condoning anything here, but I do want to say that I for one can appreciate the frustration he must feel. He put so much of his time and energy into something he believed he had a genuine shot at winning. And, y'know, he was laughed at, ridiculed, someone even called him retarded. So how about unbanning him and forgetting the whole thing?

That's just fucking ridiculous.
But explains a lot. Like Snow Dog asking Hedgeowl to recruit him already. Juliets cruising in the background. Epignosis insisting we were doomed. All that fake drama, it's like the fucking Truman Show. Hedgeowl being spotless, like a drug kingpin out of The Wire or something. Fuck all of you.
Great game, enjoyed it a lot.

I can't help but note how both Dom and Zeek have expressed how much we would regret lynching them, after LC warned everyone not to let a Strax lynch happen..

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 11
I'm more or less sold on DF's hint. I think that's what BR was talking about when she mentioned something weird happening at night re: DF. I don't think it's the best role to pretend to claim. There's always the possibility that a mafioso figured out whom The Ood was, but then that possibility remained for civs, too. So all in all, things point to the hint being legit.
I think Hedge has to be bad. I can't decide which role she'd be, but the process of elimination + voting records + general gut feeling, all combined, has me more confident about her than anyone else. I'd urge players to join me if they want to avoid a Dom lynch, cause the only player I'd be willing to budge for is Nijuu, who is a bit of a wild card.

Let's look at Zeek's vote evidence on Dom.
When Dom vote's Epignosis instead of MM, MM only has two votes.
When Dom votes Chris instead of Roxy, Roxy has no votes.
When you consider the timing of each vote, it no longer looks as suspicious as it did. Certainly doesn't look like Dom is trying to save his recruits.
So yeah, I'm off a Dom lynch.

You are such a joker, Chris. Zeek mentions two polls, not one, and it's a fair point that he makes; Dom's an unknown that doesn't vote for the lynched recruits. It's not enough for me to vote for Dom right now, especially considering I liked his response, but it is more reasonable than 95% of what you've brought to the table this game. My own against Hedgeowlzeek wrote:That is fair enough, but whoever MM was recruited by had no need to throw him under the bus. It was 7-7 without extra hidden votes.
Which case do you find the most compelling?

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 11
I'm not as convinced as you, since your case rests on some assumptions I wouldn't be prepared to make, such as the recruiter not voting for the recruited, but like I said, it's very compelling nonetheless.zeek wrote:That is a mistake, keys, the long we wait the longer it'll take to get him out the game. Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 11
Zeek, you've got a compelling case on Dom, but on the other hand, Dom's reaction seem genuine. I'm not going to vote for him today, but he's definitely one to consider.

Re: Dr. Who Mafia - Day 11
Chris, Juliets says you defended Hedgeowl, is that true? Why didn't you list her as a possible The Master?
Snow Dog - MP supports Hedge but hasn't vouched for her.
I'm comfortable with my vote for Hedgeowl. Y'know how some people, when accused of lying, can't help but smile, even laugh? Like they just can't contain how funny it all is? That's what I get from Hedgeowl. Like she's over there smirking, giggling, enjoying fooling us.
