Re: Random~
Tfw school started. And board meetings. And I have three new pupils. And overdue with a PhD report yet again. Which will be complicated to schedule and travel, due to school and the supervisor also being involved in piano jury stuff. And the phone also started ringing, asking me to accompany students of which I had received no word of until now at the late-entry admissions over at the Faculty. Which are taking place tomorrow.

Re: Random~
I went to a play at the local german theater this evening, together with my German studying group (wrapping up by B2 levels). I haven't been to a play in a really long time. I don't even remember ever going with my "ehemalige" girlfriend.
Anyway, the funny part is that teach warned us not to pick a play in which strong language or even some nudity might occur, because there are 16 and 17 yr old students in the group, so it may not be kosher. Guess which show we blindly picked to go to.
I was in charge with buying the tickets, so my only thought, when the actors started stripping and enacting an intense sex scene and even a jerk off mimicking one, was that the teach will strangle me tomorrow. Whoops.
But we had fun overall, most of us liked it (only one or two thought it was just too modern and weird for their taste or even awful); a colleague in fact was the only one in the audience to give a standing applause. She thought it was amazing. I thought the theme was pretty generic and an easy pick for building non-stop tension and soapy like interactions (existential and communicational crisis among Millenials in the Facebook era and intertwined stories of love and betrayal), plus this theater usually has the talent, but lacks the staging skills or creativity, yet this time it held up nicely. There was a moment that mixed music, coreography and narrative culmination, in which Arcade Fire's My Body is a Cage was played. Got me all wet.

Re: Random~
This is really just #firstRico'sworldproblems, so I ain't gonna write it in the Problems thread
Tfw this week and the next two are such hell. Music school exams with the young ones every day this week (even had to sit in the committee myself for four hours today and will have to do so again on Friday), then accompaniment rehearsals with faculty students during the whole afternoon, plus had to make a slideshow presentation for German class this evening, where I was as professional as always, but lost the group's popular vote (by some margin) to a 16 year old charming, passionate, hard-working and determined schooler, basically the kind I was 10 years ago (minus the charming), which curiously messed up with my esteem and the feeling of getting old, at least at this moment.
A colleague in the German class literally told me I should get a good night sleep, because of how spent I was visibly looking.
So yeah, guess this must be what they call real life, huh?

Sorry about your loss. He sounded like a good man. I remember having a staggering amount of uncles, aunts and nephews/nieces, but they all live in different rural areas. My mom mostly stays in touch.
My favorite story is never realizing the technicality that my mother's step sister (named Dorina) is my aunt, until I was 9 or 10. She was always just Dorina to me.
Yeah, she's probably my closest aunt, in that regard.

A year ago I started tracking down and watching the movies that have soundtracks created by TD, but the cinematic level is often so poor, I couldn't go all the way through with the project. Last movie I recall watching was Near Dark.
I wasn't even head over heels with the good rate ones - for instance, Sorcerer (mainly because the French original is vastly superior).
