I would have liked them too, if they would have led to actual resolutions at the right time and not make me feel I'm being mocked at, due to the quality of concepts like "writing", "acting" or "suspense".

That being said, I wouldn't mind showing up for subsequent seasons of this game, with the desire to play a certain someone.

Lost didn't exactly fizzle out, but it derailed out of the fucking orbit of logic, narrative and any cinematic sensibilities and just got too addicted to a never-gonna-tell-ya style of mystery, mythology, murders and mindfarks. That's why I'm saying it became painful after the first 2 seasons, not after 5.
