nutella wrote:but I kept an open mind.
Exactly.

I had a pretty strong civ read on LoRab coming in to today but it's that she is the opposite to this that I don't much like. TH and glorfindel, and others talking about them, I think have made good points, that I think would at least make people question those reads, but it doesn't really feel as though LoRab has had much time for doubt.

Likely places for my vote today...

Soneji, BWT, bass, simon (someone raised a good point about simon a while back... i think he could well be a MM/Wilgy teammate).

Also starting to wonder about LoRab.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 4]

I think epi knows from experience who he can rely upon to get pms and votes in even when they are busy. It doesn't take much hosting to know, and he does plenty.

However, I find glorfindel laying out his theory to be logical, genuine and sensible. I don't think Epi would do it, but I also think it's a pretty rational explanation for no kills and I don't really feel as though he is pushing it too hard.

Re: Romance of the Three Kingdoms [Day 4]

It especially doesn't seem likely in an epi hosted game, who I think would reroll if he rolled a list that included a team likely to be inactive. I think epi would make sure he had at least one player he could rely on to be active before accepting the randomised list.

However, one idea I could see as a bit more possible is that some of the baddies in the yellow turbans are amongst those who have been nked early.

Glorfindel looks townie to me. Very townie. Enough to vote in his defence.

My vote for you came without, as far as I recall, having read any of your posts in the game. It's worth having my votes on people who are going to get votes, because how people react to genuine wagons matters.

I really don't think Russ makes sense. MM's vote for Russ, that's where it's at.

I really didn't think Timmer made sense either. I read his iso. When I voted, it felt like Timmer could survive. I think I need to look back at how those later votes came in. It's possible some were to save sorsha or TH.

I think people are finding some behaviours that are quite normal from people to be bad.

I also was going to come in today saying I found rico bad (after all his analysis, his votes weren't good), but then he got NKed so... I guess not.

Not entirely predicated.

But that part was a meta read. So is everything else.

I think in this game Dom sticks out. When Dom is scum, I don't see him sticking out. He might be present and vocal, but it feels more like he is trying to be able to show he is there and part of the game but without drawing attention to himself.

The gimmick felt like town Dom. Making a legitimate read on SVS in death, felt like town Dom. The content from Dom that I've read, feels like town Dom.

I'm just not seeing baddie Dom.

Ricochet wrote:Golden: same situation as timmer, although more reasoned in his action: either eggsplashed by MM's flip or considered there is room to wiggle and actively try to pull MM out of dueling spots; clear dissident of MM as a wagon, needless to say. As for his reads - while I understand the UTR-mode during his Finals - I get too much "I don't agree with ... being bad" and too little "I myself find ... bad". Not quite sure what kind of Golden tactic this is and how to fully read it, but I'd rather have the civ-vibe-giving Golden instead, regardless of the rhythm, pace and intensity it's provided: reads, debating, risk-taking.
I will assume that will come when I start reading the thread, even if its low intensity. I cannot overstate how little of this game I have read - it would amount to 3 or 4 pages worth tops. With Dom in particular, I would say I have a read because his posts have been quite frequent in the bits and pieces I read. The same goes for JJ (I guess went in his case) and DDL (also find townie). Contrast this to someone like MP, whose content always seems to be at different times to me so I've barely read any.

Take your post, for example - literally the only bit I have read is the bit about me. I have no read on you.

I'm probably going to take... I would say, at least this phase... off from reading any mafia, and then I'll start trying my best to give genuine reads from then. I wouldn't want to pretend I've been doing anything short of phoning it in and picking up on little bits and pieces that have caught my attention within the immediate vicinity of where I check in.

Well done on getting MM, which I didn't see coming. My champs game is now over (yay for winning!), which you might say in theory now means I will read this thread.

In theory, I will. I'll at least be a little more engaged in the game. But I still don't intend to go full golden. My wife was very obliging in letting me play the champs finale, but I've pretty much promised to be on mafia break right now, so this game is still something I'm intending to take very easy.

My experience of nutella.

Cases look great in theory. She is town in practice.

Not that she should be considered town by default. I just feel like I've heard these cases on nutella before.

Even in BSG where she was bad, the case against her seemed to be all about her btsc with LoRab that she didn't have, and I felt like the case on her was wrong (from a host perspective).

This is coming purely from the perspective of someone who hasn't read nutella's posts at all this game. I thought starting from a point of meta might be interesting. See what people think.
