I see no reason this wouldn’t apply to Luna if that’s the logic.speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 9:00 pmIt's true. It could be that the scumteam is slightly outfoxing itself trying to avoid the doc, but this will always be a compelling point against any supertown player.speedchuck wrote: ↑Sun Jun 24, 2018 8:56 pm Tinfail: Why is Fractal not dead yet?
Answer A: He's scum.
Answer B: He's not as big a threat as Luna.
Answer C: Someone on the mafia team REALLY likes to let the new folks play it out.
I'd like to think that Fractal and I are the doc targets (if the doc is still alive), and mafia doesn't want to mess with that alternating bit.

Colin? Apparently he would.
I don’t see it as bad either though. Perhaps neutral. Interesting that colin saw the need to ‘get out in front’.
If Colin is bad his baddie game is reminding me more and more of my own.

Explain Scotty motive assuming Colin town.
It’s more of a ping than a case. Much more likely to be bad if colin is bad.

Re: [Day 4] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Welcome back Dom.
Sorry to see you go Luna.
I have thoughts.
First and foremost - upon review, the Vompatti wagon looks fine to me. Speed and Fractal I am both reading as town, and Colin would obviously save himself. Scotty is the only one who comes out of it looking particularly bad.
Second of all, I haven't yet read Colin's isos in depth but I intend to - primarily because I believe this is how I will come to a firm view on whether or not he is good or bad. Why I voted for him yesterday was not nutella's case, but Colin's response to nutella's case (it didn't deserve the dismissal and Colin's approach was essentially a 'no u').
I am of the view that Colin will be a hard worker when bad, although in Ancient Greece he never got there, but I think that was more a case of circumstance and feeling his way out on the site. So, the mere fact of Colin doing the work doesn't move me, it depends on the content.
I do, however, want to highlight that quiet marmot is bad marmot. I really don't like how quiet marmot has been. Dune and this years GoC spring to mind as examples, but I feel like there are others. I don't recall an example of town Marmot being this quiet. Does anyone have any counterexamples?

Re: [Day 3] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Looks like I have some bits and pieces of time in the next hour, so I’m reading everything I can.
First thought - I really don’t like the nutellacounterwagon right now. Colin says it looks like she’s trying to avoid being lynched next, but I thought it looked like she was looking into LC interactions which makes perfect sense to me. Eye on colin and ninja.
Second thought - fractals ‘let’s think about both possible worlds’ is an approach I haven’t seen before, and I like it. I think it demonstrates a town mindset. His view isn’t coloured by meta reads, and I think his analysis comes across as genuine in that context.

Re: [Day 3] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
I don't love doing this, but I'm probably not going to vote today.
I spent a good chunk of today in hospital with my dad, and tomorrow morning will be heading back. He's fine and going to be fine, but it's just not conducive to catching up to the thread and being informed. I hate that this just happened to happen right when I joined, it's one of those things. I'm absolutely certain I have some catch up time tomorrow night and I'll get my head in the game properly then.
I do like nut's case on Colin on the face of it, but my own instinct on Colin was town; I don't feel comfortable flipping on a dime without doing my own research, but if I have any time at all my first step would be reading Colin's iso to see if that holds as much as it appears on the surface.
Other interactive isos would be interesting. I think there's probably more to that than to an analysis of the juliets kill. Would a team really kill to save vomps from her eye? I'm not sure that I would - vompatti is the kind of player that is liable to be lynched more when people have no better idea than due to any particular case. It's possible, but it seems to me looking for people who were trying to save LC is the better bet.

Re: [NIGHT 2] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Yeah, I shouldn't get any credit for that. It's something I would do as bad. Although in this case, I had plenty of opportunity to just not read nutella's iso in time and not bus as a function of 'having to catch up'. I generally bus where I feel it would be the unavoidably 'civ golden' thing to do, and you'll tend to find it's characterised by me actually having a baddie read on the person I lynch to maximise potential credit.
But, I don't expect any credit for that move, genuinely, and actually agree I shouldn't be given much. That goes beyond just me - people are too fast at giving credit for 'votes that matter', they are maximum impact when bad.

That indecision came directly from my suspicion of you and choice to vote nutella at that moment, and the fact I didn't gut trust you.Kylemii wrote: ↑Fri Jun 22, 2018 4:35 pm get ready for an extremely luke-warm take:
my vote put the votes back in a place where if mafia-golden wanted to he could have easily un-bussed long con. mafia-golden making the posts listed above does nothing but outwardly telegraph the indecision presented to him where he would have been given a chance to save his teammate.Spoiler: show
if golden is mafia then this would have been an extremely sloppy move. and that's not something I'd characterize golden as being a guy who does.
also despite not wanting to be the deciding vote between nutella and long con he pretty much already was. if id passed out from benedryl, his breaking the tie by moving from nut to con effectively prevented the 50% chance that nut would be lynched instead.
i think golden looks good coming out of this unless nutella is mafia too, in which case golden actually only looks pretty okay-ish.
There was a little piece of me that wondered if you were putting your vote on a teammate at the last minute where you could hide but also look good later. It's like a 'low-risk risk' that could have made you look better than you were.
But I trusted my own nutella gut more. and LC was bad so... I haven't decided how I feel about your vote yet.

Re: [DAY 2] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
I shifted to [VOTE:
Long Con] aubergine for now.
But it's not because I get any bad sense from him. It's just that out of these two wagons on people, neither of whom I particularly read as bad, I'd rather keep the one who seems to be trying. No offense LC, I know it's probably just that you're busy.
But... I'd definitely consider a vote somewhere else if it's on.

Re: [DAY 2] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
I speed read nutella's iso, it wasn't truly thorough.
But I like it. I don't think the magic carpet bag thing is a sign of her being bad, she'd do that as town. Some of her pleas sound really 'nutella on town meta' to me.
For clairty - I still like the effort luna put in on these cases. I just don't love the options.
Based on what I've seen so far, my preference is a kyle vote. But I doubt I could shake things up this late.

Re: [DAY 2] Courage the Cowardly Dog Mafia
Also Luna described LC as 'lazy and not very helpful'.
Having no reads at all certainly matches that description. But I'd add 'odd'. It's so lazy and unhelpful that it's obviously so.
I'm pretty good at reading LC on the whole (I did mess up in Ancient Greece), but it takes me a few days. For now I would expect him to be giving the appearance of trying if bad (but would also usually be actually trying if town). I'm wondering if this is a genuinely 'really busty' situation.
