Nacho, you were quieter in Unfortunate Events, and then turned out to be bad. This reminds me much more of your civ game on here (Monkey Island). Do you believe this is a meta tell I should read into, or just a matter of your circumstances at the time of each game?

It's not useful. I think there's about a 20 minute lag, plus people can appear hidden if they want.

Yes that was also my understanding, it just seemed like JJJ was calling for a slow down, but I guess he was just saying not to pile on votes.

What's the mafia/town ratio for this # of players on this site? Where I usually play its usually 20-25% depending on powers. It's a power heavy meta.

1) Our setups can be wildly different. For the game to be balanced you'd expect around 20-25%, but what if there are two teams, or malignant indys etc. The setups are normal more often than not but they can vary, and

2) Sprit is really bringing this set up (mostly, as far as I can tell) from elsewhere, so we have no idea of what he might do. This game set up is relatively new here (or at least could be).

Also, if we are talking about Dizzy, it's only his second game here, so he isn't overly familiar with this site either.

I agree. But it did read as though you made a presumption. At the moment, I think we should consider all options as open.

I also think that it's very difficult to know, or do anything, about a 'mafia-favouring' option at this early stage. But, it could become helpful information in hindsight later.

I think this dispute with INH is kind of silly and might just be people talking past each other -- I think he's saying completely reasonable things, and everyone else is also saying reasonable things, just from different standpoints. I don't read anything suspicious here.

I don't see it as anything other than normal inh either. I didn't feel like we were talking past each other, it felt like a conversation where we traded perspectives.

I think you have a tendency to suspect me, but here is a golden rule you can trust me to live by.

Even when bad, I lie very very rarely. I don't create fictional stories. I heavily discourage teammates from doing it as well. Why? Because all it can do is lead to you getting caught in the lie. It's just a really poor strategy. There's a reason my baddie game is relatively successful, and it's because I leave as few threads to tug on as I possibly can.

Lies are reserved for things that can create a significant game advantage (and even then, you need to feel like its a safe lie), or for fake reads.

Having said that, I do see the advantage in lying to protect others from nks, as a civilian.

Not easily, but when you're on the reply screen, the last 50 posts or so will be below the box you type into, and you can use that to multiquote any of those.

Alternatively, use tabs and cut and paste (that's what I usually end up doing).

LC, the benefit is that it allows an item owner to get info into the thread.

The fact you said you didn't have the map then you said you did.

It could have been a PM slip true, but I'm not convinced that's the case. However, I don't see any reason why a mafia member would do this, I view it more as you trying to make it harder to narrow down the map holder and as of right now we have four(?) people claiming the map. Myself, MM, Golden, and JJJ.

So I wouldn't lynch vote you on that and I would find it suspicious for people to use that as a reason to vote for you.

I mean there's two answers right. One answer is that I can't leave something hanging that appears dishonest (even if it was honest at the time) - I wouldn't call this a 'slip', just an unfortunate series of events . The other answer is that I had a tactical epiphany, and realised that I could conceivably provide cover for the real owner (or, even worse, that saying I didn't have it potentially exposed the real owner).

By answering the questions the way she did, it looks like she's confirming her post to have been based on reads, which omits what I think the post was based on, the gimmick. That's the impression I get.

I wouldn't have chosen to say this in a vacuum, but since I already said I didn't get the map...

I did get the map. I was just impatient and assumed the PM had gone elsewhere.

It doesn't feel massively helpful, but it does enable me to turn the compass directions on this poll (and others) into specific locations. If we go to a location that turns out to be favourable, I might be able to help us get back there. It looks like you can't get everywhere from everywhere, though. For now, it's meaningless to me.

The more I think about it, the more I think people should just go with their gut and not declare it. It does potentially put a target on a person's back.

Also, I don't remember what game the prefect thing was now, and what actually happened with that?

I'm assuming in this game there will be more items (based on the way the PM was written) and so there will be opportunities to spread them out a bit, hopefully.

I do think there is benefit in talking about and trying to come to a sort of consensus, because surely the baddies can all pick and vote for a single one of themselves?
