@Dennis thanks for making this your first game!! You seem to gather the concept of mafia pretty naturally, which I think made it easier to townread you this game, your interest and ability in talking about mafia concepts and then applying them was fun to watch.
Thanks for tolerating me! It was, honestly, a wee bit annoyed that so many people were 100% sure I was town because then I'm an easy night kill target and I was actually really happy seeing myself in PoEs but I guess it'll come with time. Or maybe I'll be the easiest read ever who knows

Yeah now that’s a skill! But roll wolf a couple of times and fool people and you’ll find yourself in PoEs constantly.

So who did you think deputy could've been? I thought cop was either SVS or Rondo. SVS randomly changed her suspicion on Neon saying something about just deciding Jack wasn't bad so Neon was good, and Rondo because Bea subbed about and suddenly my checks were gone.

Also think it's really funny how I ended up literally empty handed because all of my checks died, almost directly after.

I had neon, Seanzie and svs in my mix.

I wasn’t immediately sure I’d made the right call either. I thought it would likely stop three possible wagons dead in their tracks (your cop flip was meaningful in my immediate claim… since I figured Seanzie not being doc would come around on me).

It worked out.

Kate and SVS saw 100% through this and I was like ‘shut up shut up shut up’

Really? I thought they were pretty obvious, the splints and the falcon ones. The splints one you had JUST said 'pay attention to what I say' so like it was really obvious, kinda amazed I had to point it out. And just dropping falcon completely after saying literally last day 'i would rather falcon die' seemed like a pretty obvious peek too

No one else was doing it, and there’s every chance people thought I’d also peeked svs, you in particular.

That’s very strange given the roles suggest no double targeting and that only block and protect could interfere with my reads.

Bit early for the goodbye, unless you are heading out now. GG was fun wiggling around and trying not to get town read while trying not to get scum read. I am actually glad Scotty was night killed otherwise I would have been tunneling him today. Made my life pretty easy. You did a good job as cop, Finger and Falcon are someone I would never come around to being town on my own so its nice to be able to just dismiss them

Yeah I'm about to hit a busy afternoon patch shortly, wont be back till after EoD, and I'm just assuming if it's not roxy i probably die.

I have never had a reason to doubt my read on Seanzie this game. The way he has handled each situation is, I think, consistent with a town mindset. I’d be pretty surprised if he was wolf. He’s in my PoE of four because having a PoE of four is appropriate right now, but really he’s in a different tier to you and neon (the tier that includes the two of you is ‘people for whom I can see a cogent execution of a specific deepwolf plan’)
Can you articulate more what that plan would be?

For both you and Neon it’s about creating a distance with Lucy at the end of day five via actions that make being wolfmates appear unlikely. Neons hard defend. Lucy asking you how you caught her. Both of you were fully available for alternate wagons too.

Why has your read on splints gone from definitely town to highest suspect?

The people I have voted for today are the ones that remain most suspicious to me if Roxy flips town, to varying degrees.

If Roxy is somehow town, which I very much doubt, I would not elim Rondo tomorrow - I am reminded of how Lucy wanted to go after low posters (I assume this is part of her normal town meta), but always went back to bea. I think bea was the safe option, not the bus option.

Adding that to the 'how'd you catch me' at eod yesterday, I feel pretty good with the weight of those two things together.

Even if coming back to mafia wasn't the most enjoyable experience for you overall, I'm really glad I got to play with you again.

I have a small bit of tinfoil on Dennis, but if Dennis can wolf like this on their first game ever, I will let them have the win (granted, everything should be re-evaluated as time goes on, but still).

This is how I feel about Dennis too. If I’m at lylo with Dennis, I’m probably voting for the other person.

From what I’ve seen of you, I reckon you’d have thrived in it.

If neon or rondo are wolves, the wolves recovered thread control from a difficult position early.

Anyway, this game could have deepwolf, but the reason I’ve been so firm in encouraging all townies to avoid tinfoil is because the vibe has had exactly that feel… one in which the wolves have no thread control.

But, of course, the best deepwolfing is recognising you’re the only one with thread control and getting yourself the most possible cred during their elims, in whatever form that may come.

I think that may have always been true. But in this era wolf also very rarely bussed because your wolfmate would fight back since you’re costing them the game. The whole meta was massively different.

The key point I’m making is that it’s not necessarily that mata and Roxy don’t understand the need for thread control, but that it’s hard to exert when it’s not your natural instinct.

Because I think that’s the fundamental difference.
