2nd was my favourite, but I think fourth really holds up after multiple viewings as mostly very strong.

In season three they had to have a 6 episode mini season followed by a break of several months. This feels affected by the writers strike, but was just the network. On the bright side, it made the show runners agree the end date because even they knew how much that 6 episode stretch sucked.

The first half of season 3 was lost at its worst... But arguably the second half of season 3 and season 4 were its peak. A lot of people gave up early in season three and I don't blame them, but I think it's still well worth persevering through.

I understand the objection to season 6. I don't agree, but I do understand why it's divisive.

Also, svs being such a badass was, in its own way, pretty good role play. Sayid wouldn't beat around the bush, he'd just get in there and kick baddie ass.

A shout out, though, to everyone who was role playing - one more thing that made the game super fun for me to host.

I do declare that svs has an unassailable lead in the mvp vote.

Well, I wouldn't have answered the question anyway, and as there are five seasons to go, I'm still not going to yet.

But it is interesting as a host to see the assumptions behind thought processes sometimes. I designed the choices of roles and fake claims very deliberately with the idea in mind that people would make assumptions based on the claims. It was fun to see that play out.

Yeah. If the kill had gone ahead today's poll would also have included a 'no lynch' option so that the town had the choice to avoid it too.

Absolutely. Role claiming and power role claiming are both completely legitimate, and so is making lists of what people have claimed (or what you perceive them to be hinting at)

Game rules:

1) The game is a closed set up, which means no roles will be revealed before the start of the games. All players who die will have their full role card (identity, alignment, win condition and abilities) revealed upon their death, regardless of whether they are lynched or nightkilled. There are only three power roles, but it is not known what they are. It should not be presumed that they are all necessarily useful. For example, a civ tracker could be offset by the killer being untrackable. A mafia godfather does not imply a civilian cop. A blocker does not imply that there are roles able to be blocked.

2) Days will last 48 hours. All players need to vote in the poll during the day, and at the end of the day the player with the most votes will be lynched.

3) Nights will last 24 hours.

4) Generally speaking, you are required to post in white. This is the hosts colour. You may post in dead red when you are dead, but you cannot post on topic. Anyone who is not playing may post off topic in non player blue. Living players have to use OT green to post off topic. Anyone being pedantic should use pedantic pink, because it is awesome.

5) You may not post in the thread any PM from the host. You may role claim and also claim any ability should you want to.

6) All votes are changeable.

7) You cannot lynch the marmot on day one, as much as you may want to, because he is not playing.

8) MovingPictures is the Mod on duty. Please contact him if you have any issues with other players or your host.
