I'm not a trekkie but have seen all of the Star Trek movies. I also grew up watching an episode of TNG here and there. Welcome Klingon! What does your name translate to?

It's funny- I always just assume people are around my age until I learn otherwise. I can't believe how young some of the "Old Guard" really are.

Oh, the usual. Went back to school for a second degree, had two kids, lost a fair amount of my hair. I've only been back in action for over a year now. I had a nice 2-3 year break and evidently I came out the other end of it weirder and more playful than I was before. How about you?

Happy to help build a game around the idea. I would think like, quite a simple old school mafia game with an even number of players from previous forums 5+5+5+5 and then a regular open set up, traditional no screwing around. Have spectators rate performance at the end of the game and the forum with the highest combined rating wins ultimate forum, or something.

Is that even possible?

Neat idea but that could be tricky for some of us. Some of us come from a few different mafia arenas, so it would be hard to list only one as our "home forum." For instance, I found The Syndicate by way of Revolution Mafia (I never actually played there and I don't know if it's even functioning anymore). Revolution Mafia was a spin-off of The Piano (where I played often and hosted occasionally). The Piano itself was a spin-off of Lostpedia's mafia forum. Early on, I split my time between the mafia forums on Lostpedia and SpoilerTV. I'd have to back and look at where I played my first game to declare a definitive "home." I know STV shut down mafia and the STV forum itself is a ghost town. Does Lostpedia still have a functioning mafia forum?

Yeah but it will be thoroughly confusing for those who don't have the context of experiencing one or both of the other games. And since The Piano is toast, it's not like people can go back and read game posts. I don't think I saved all of what I write for those games. I would probably have to do some major setup posts for SM3 to make any sense to the uninitiated. To deny them that context would be borderline evil.

Well, there's only one installment left. I should probably take a look at the game setup because I'm sure it could be improved a little. Players like you would probably have to do a lot of explaining to help it make sense to Secret Mafia newbies being thrown into the thick of a concluding chapter. I was planning for it to be pretty dark and ruthless, so I may have to ease up on the tone.

I think at one point I promised my wife that I would finish the SM trilogy and give up mafia for good. I wonder if I can weasel my way out of that promise because I've got a number of small game ideas running through my head.

Wow, time flies alright- I'm pretty sure Secret Mafia 2 was at least four years ago. I don't recall it being much fun for me though. Then again, I was the idiot who made the game structure far more complicated than it needed to be.

Hello, my name is G-Man. The circumstances of my mafia background are inconsequential, really.

Some of you might remember me as a mediocre player from Lostpedia, where I won my first game and never amounted to much of anything after that.

Others might remember me from SpoilerTV as the reckless guy who had a traitorous maneuver named after him as well as the guy who placed himself in self-imposed exiles from said mafia forum after flying off the handle at a player who shall remain nameless.

Still others might remember me from The Piano. I played a lot of games there, losing most, winning a few and causing controversy in one or two. I also hosted a few speed games that were met with warm receptions and two full games that were mild successes.

Some other folk may have seen me lurking around Revolution Mafia recently. I never played there but tested the waters to see if it might be a good place to host a third game I have been planning for a few years.

If you don't remember me, that's okay. I wouldn't remember me either.

If you've never heard of me before, hi there. I'm mostly harmless (I think).
