Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

@LC

So your idea is to basically dump the whole traitor thing under a pile of WIFOM so big nobody can draw any conclusion from it?

I like it.

I still like my idea of keeping our votes unofficial until the end of each day.
I think it's something like that. Maybe the dons have to eliminate each other in some way, and the police is just not involved. At least not directly.

And your idea could work, though arguably fake votes aren't as efficient a tool of pressure than real ones.

What are you guys talking about? Can't the Dons get lynched? We can't role claim so it's not like we can just identify the Dons and not lynch them.
They can, but that seems pretty difficult to happen, as less than half the players in the game belong to a single famiglia. It could become impossible in an end-game scenario, too. So I think there is another measure in place for the dons to be eliminated.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

What i mean is: the hosts are hiding something from us. I want to speculate on what. "Who cares" is not an answer, we should care about it.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

Or maybe you already know the answer so you are trying to make us avoid that plan so you guys can use whatever crazy anti-don measure you have and take us off-guard? :smoky:

(yes this is a tinfoil but let me seize the moment)

I care. If we are discussing how to protect the dons, I wanna know what exactly threats them.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

Actually that raises a question: how the hell are the cops supposed to get rid of the dons?

Because having most of their famiglias ovote for them is possible but not realiable.

Are we to assume the cops win if only the Dons are left?

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

But this thing only works if the Don specifically votes for the traitor. So each one of us is making 29 posts?

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

I'll go ahead and say I don't buy this "everyone votes for everyone" plan working. At all. Too much coordination for too little time, and people don't trust each other.

While in the case of the first plan (nobody changes votes), it has some chance of working, because at least the majority of people seem to be not hindering it. Though we've already had 3 early voters which doesn't help our case, unless they never change.

So my point is, neither of the plans are very practical.

But I'll hold on to my vote for now, since it doesn't hurt too much. I don't have any suspects yet anyway.

I mean, the Don could change the votes twice while both MP and Daisy were sleeping, for example.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

Also I have a question. Does this Traitor count every vote we make even if it isn't final, or just final votes? because if it's the former, how can the hosts possibly take note of every vote? Unless there is some recording mechanic in those polls I'm not aware of.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

If it's not against the rules, the hosts should have no business getting involved. It's part of the course.

The problem is coordinating this. There are 30 players. How long till they all come online and then each vote for 30 different people?

How does that minimise what you said the very post before? "I think he knows he's wrong".
It means she is admitting the previous post is a joke.

Golden wrote:I guess the point is not so much whether the don bumps into the traitor, but whether the cops identify the don from a low voting propensity.
Good point. We can't really control the don. They have their own trade-off to consider.

Do people usually change votes that often though? I do, but a lot of people usually just drop votes at the end.

Re: Turf Wars: Battle of the Hosts

The trade-off we should consider is the likehood of this helping the dom, versus how much not being able to vote early will gimp us. Votes are a tool of pressure, they are useful to us.

I think it's a scheme. I think he knows he is wrong.
But why do YOU think he is wrong?

The plan sounded good to me. Though arguably the chances of the Dom bumping into the Traitor anyway are pretty high, and the chance of the cops finding the dom that easily can be pretty low given not everyone changes votes.

But usually civs who come up with these crazy plans early tend to be civ from my experience. It's too much of a gambit to fake that, I believe.

So, general rule I would like everyone to follow. Treat your vote as if it isn't changeable.

Our Don's don't want to vote around very much because of the traitor yes? Let's not make it easy for the police to spot who is hesitant to vote.
Ok this is actually a pretty good idea. Will try to follow.

I like to change my votes though.
