Uh... yes? You guys came up with this fantasy idea that I had limited soup kills but I didn't. Could have used them every night if I wanted.

So you asked what is the advantage for him? More like his only choice. Now, if he does take me down, his chances of winning are now pretty good since he is immune to both lynches and night kills. Assuming he doesn't fail at taking mafia down, that is.

The rest of you don't quite have Makoto's luck, though. But you get the choice of two different paths.

I said that if Makoto is lynched his voters win the game with me. But only his voters.

COOOO! (Yeah that affects just Makoto. Think about from a game balancing perspective and pretend the two options are actually as stated from DDL. That's not balanced at all because Makoto loses every time. The two choices as we know them are a normal game where we have a chance to lose, or an insta win for everyone left but one. That's not fair to Makoto in the slightest. There has to either be some upside to sticking to it that we don't know about, or some downside to giving in)

The downside to voting Makoto is that you sell your souls. You betray town's cause, betray the main character and join the mafia. You give up from trying to win fairly. It's not as satisfying as actually moving forward and winning. But you get victory. It's the rational option, the selfish one. At least for the ones who actually voted for Makoto, since the rest dies.

As for Makoto, he already has a big advantage in that he is immune to mafia's night kills and lynches. He is guaranteed survival. But he has to go through me for that, that's the price of his win.

You all should really evaluate if you can win the game otherwise. How many scum do you think are left? If there are 2, this is a 3v2. Can you win two consecutive lynches next? And survive?

Never mind, I hadn’t read DDL’s announcement. I can’t confirm or deny any truth in there. But I knew Fayt/sabie was Makoto for a while. I passed the info about Junko along in BTSC and then Fayt revealed it in the thread the next day. I’m surprised DDL didn’t pick up on it, what a chump.

I recommend lynching DDL and proceeding with a semi-regular mafia game. I assume I’m still unable to vote?

I think Monokuma can recruit roles and message players.

He’d only be able to talk to his recruits if they up and message him, claiming to have been recruited. While I agree the soupkill is probably purely an anticlaim mechanic and Monokuma doesn’t want to kill the blackened, it’s still a risky thing for a recruit to do since Monokuma’s wincon is unknown.

Of course, DDL could ask his recruits to contact him via soapbox and now the main thread if that’s what he wanted. I guess we’ll see.

Ok so I'm not really feeling this mechanic-based Monokuma hunting. Not just because it's getting people to vote for me, lol. It's just it's confusing and wifomy and ultimately feels like a chore.

I want to scumhunt the classic way. That said I'll also kind of lost with how to do that.

I didn't like Okosan's recent wifom defense so I might vote there. Otherwise I think it's likely the baddies are just lurking, and there are some people like Sig, Fayt, Dom and Creature who seem to be just coasting.

As for town reads... I like Jack but he also seems extremely engaged which makes me afraid of him, because scum Jack is engaged. Sloone is giving me some legit vibes. Tex is okay. The rest is whatever.
