If there's a general civilian read who is wrongly trusted, my money would be on sig right now. I agree with LC's earlier suggestion that sig's "people tried to lynch lapluie to save X mafioso" thing is dubious. It's an accusation I see plenty, but it's barely ever correct and people ought to be learning their lessons by this point. I don't endorse his lynch today, but I recommend a more vigilant investigation of his content.

RDW's turn on me when I voiced some suspicion of him relative to the case originally posted by Epignosis -- that as a civilian I am usually able to see that RDW is also a civilian (historically that bears out) -- looked authentic. That's a highly specific request. I don't know if both of those factors held true, but I recall experiencing a lot of burnout in these two:

Tree Mafia

Phenon Mafia

I should make it clear that I am not crapping out in this game purely as a result of burnout, though that isn't helping matters. I said why I'm crapping out earlier, and I am not going to repeat it. Folks can go digging if they want.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 3]

I suspect DrWilgy is engaging in deliberate meta replication. Recall Mortal Kombat when early in the game he chose Sloonei (the extremely active Day 1 civilian) as his top suspect, and in nearly every suspicion-relevant post that was his pursuit. Lynch Sloonei. DrWilgy was a civilian, and it became quickly evident that his vendetta was ill-advised. I don't recall it generating any interesting reactions either, or least none that he used to develop other reads.

In this game he has chosen to do the exact same thing that worked poorly last time, with dunya as his chosen immense-activity target. While it isn't affirmed that dunyachuck is a civilian, I think it is the most likely reality by such a margin that I am willing to build my read on others against that assumption. Examples:

Spoiler: show

Actually come to think of it, the last two times I've been mislynched (Tree Mafia and RYM #78 about four years ago), I was lynched largely on the strength of my "casework" having been perceived as weaker than usual. Then after I was mislynched, the civilians lynched my top suspect who then flipped mafia. MovingPictures and Adrift were the baddies. So if you follow throw with hanging me today, you know what to do next.

Funny because the last time we had scum JJJ and were about to lynch him, he spewed like fifty posts into the thread as WIFOM. When JJJ was Bravo, he talked as much as possible while going down, and scraped his way to victory. "Going mum?"

I certainly wanted to do that in Mountain Mafia.

It isn't my design here, but go ahead and believe that if you like. It'll be a good opportunity to remedy your MK oopsie of leaving Simon alive despite thinking Jack was bussing him. If you think I'm bussing a low poster, then let me do it.

Re: Fire Emblem Draft Mafia [Day 3]

Dragon D. Luffy wrote: Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:41 pmmore juicy cases.
The problem with your mindset is here.

I understand it; I don't fault you for it; it's okay.

I didn't see a single juicy case on Days 1 or 2. The juiciest case I felt existed was my own case on Dr. White, until it was no longer juicy. I maintain that Day 2 was barely better than an extension of Day 2. No lynches are garbage unless they provide conclusive alignment intelligence on the player who didn't die. Y'all can exchange your juicy cases as much as you like, but I think they've been crap. I am now being subject to one of them.

Civilians are bad at this.

This game has been, until recently as I have faded to the background and dunya was replaced, a hurricane. Mafia members can't keep up as easily with a hurricane as civilians. So lynch a slacker. I say it every game these days when they move anywhere near this quickly. Nobody listens to me. I've nearly always been right. Mortal Kombat was an arguable exception, though the civilians were blind in the end of that one to some obvious tells anyway. Because they're bad at this.

Easy targets? You're damned right. That means nothing about alignment. Lynching me instead is objectively foolish under these conditions when such a long game is ahead of us for various other possibilities to show themselves (I manage to clear myself as I often seem to, the mafia kill me for you, or a mafia flip qualifies reads on me beyond terrible meta reads which have no bearing on reality). If I had more fire, I might argue it harder. I don't.

Later in the phase I'll give more useful reads. I'm letting this day phase develop mostly without me.

Though seriously the fact he blatantly ignored this is troubling he's morphing facts to try to prove a point, cover for jay, and get me lynched. If he isn't mafia he's a tunneling civ who's opinion doesn't mean much.

As of right now i think Jay messed with my action somehow, lc is covering for him.

Also with secret powers in play we can't and shouldn't just take jay saying he's an archer so he couldn't do anything seriously nor that gwil was redirected. Since guess what the same ppl who believe this and are saying this proved i lied flat out rejected that i could've been redirected also.
I didn't say I am an archer. If you're going to give people shit for being lazy, you'll need to make sure you actually read the thread yourself. :meany:

I have no interest in lynching you. I bodyguarded Mac.

I don't see anything about softness in that role ability.

Also, this damns sig's lie even more since "Fliers can't target your target." Sig couldn't even have been misdirected by a flier.
First word of the second line under the role name.

I was drunk last night and working now so I haven’t put the slightest effort into decoding it. Have at it.
Soften 'em up. It corroborates I think Kites (?) who said they boosted sig's kill chance. I obviously didn't do that, so you were misdirected or something.

I don't care about these accusations. They're boring. It's boring. I will be shown as a civilian in due time and you will know. My competitive drive in this game was extinguished the first time I was made aware that my style of play was hindering newcomers from enjoying themselves. The damage became permanent when I absolutely lost my shit and contributed to a facilitator intervention. I have been a blight on this game, and I hope that another may replace my effort with greater grace.

I think you're a civilian, and right now you might be the only one with his or her head on straight. While I take it easy and recharge my dead batteries, I hereby charge you, brave nutella, with the task of leadership. This is your time, here and now. All of your growth as a player since around the time of the first Phenon game has prepared you for this moment. Take it, own it, and lead the civilians with the iron will I know you have within you. The era of nutella begins today. :noble:
I don't know a fucking thing my guy
None of us really knows a fucking thing apart from a few isolated night action bits and flips. I believe in you. I want to see you take on this mantle, because I think you are one of the site's best players when you play with confidence. If you need help, just ask.

You can fear that I am buddying you; it would be understandable. I cannot be concerned with that. Right now my greatest interest in this game is in seeing nutella rise to supatown glory.
